If I could give Joe Hudson’s Collision Center 10 stars instead of 5, I would! After being side-swiped on Hwy 316 by an uninsured driver, my insurance company recommended a repair place. When I took it there for what I thought was a deep 12-inch scratch, the cost estimate was substantial and included painting that panel and the one next to it for continuity. I took it to Joe Hudson’s for a second opinion. Chuck examined my car, took a lot of pictures, and asked if he could try something. He came back in a few minutes with some rubbing compound, and within two minutes he had removed the scratch. Turns out it was just red paint from the car that hit me. Awesome! Again, at least 10 stars for quality of work and honesty!

My car was rear-ended in downtown Athens. We drove it home from the accident with no problem. We drove it to Joe Hudson‘s Collision Center with no problem. The initial assessment was $6000 in damage and would take three weeks to fix. Then, I was told that it was $14,000 in damage and seven weeks to fix. Then about five weeks into that, I was told that the car was completely totaled out (a 2023 Honda Civic, barely a year old).. I still continued getting text messages saying my repairs would be done on time. The day after my insurance company told me the car was to be totaled, my car was given to the insurance auction people and taken away without my signature or knowledge. I was not given the opportunity to remove my items from the car (I was out of town when I got the call from the insurance company). The collision center said it was my problem because my insurance company had signed off on it already, but my insurance company assured me that was not the case. I found the whole situation to be shady and bizarre at best.

While the repair took longer than expected (about 3.5 weeks), the team went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Hands down the worst store experience I’ve ever had. Every time they promise me a pick up date but delayed again and again. I drop my car on 6.02 and they said it’s gonna take 2 weeks to repair that. 6.14 the first time I called back and they said the ordered part has got ready and would contact me on 6.17. On 6.17, nobody called me back so I had to follow up by myself and they said every thing is ready and it would take 1-2 days to finish, but wouldn’t late than that. And I said I had a big event on 6.21 so I need my car before that. They promised. On 6.20, still nobody called me back so I again followed up by myself and got to know they couldn’t finish on Friday. I insisted to talk to their manager and finally the manager said he can provide me a rental car but he promised me to get my car on 6.23. I went to the rental car company and they said I have to give the car back before 4pm on 6.23. Otherwise I need to pay for that. On 6.23, still nobody for this store contact me about my car’s situation. And after I followed back again they said they haven’t finish that yet but promise again would let me get my car on 6.25. In terms of the rental car, they said they would cover the additional fee (however, if I didn’t follow back, I might need to pay for that. That’s all due to their bad communication). On 6.25, still nobody contact me. I followed up again and they said they couldn’t finish and have to delay the pick up date until tomorrow. Now I haven’t got my car. Let’s see whether I can get my car tomorrow or not. Nobody provides me solution for the delaying time until I kept following up and defend my rights. This is the most ridiculous thing. Also, my car was just being hit by a small truck tail which is not a big problem. The first time they inspect it and give me the estimated fee would be around $3000 dollars and after a week they said they found a big problem and the repair fee surged over $6000. And today I called and the manager said they would charge $2000 more for the calibration fee

Most of the staff was super friendly, especially the front office staff who went out of their way to make sure i was set up with a rental car. One person at the even offered me a ride when my rental car didn’t show up on time. Frequent text updates on the progress of my repairs.

Please Read before considering this facility If i could give zero stars i would. At first the place seemed nice and they fixed my vehicle almost unrecognizable after a deer hit it. However, after we got the vehicle back it started decelerating in which it has never done that before. I had to wait 2 days until they were open to have them get that the car back to fix the issue. Due to the new issue with my cari had to miss my grandmother's funeral. I asked for a partial refund on my deductible and they said they are not able to do so due to getting the car towed back to their shop and putting me in a rental(only had it for 2 days btw)They said this as if they were doing me a favor even though they are the reason my car had this issue in the first place. Do not go to this place unless you may have to miss your grandmother's funeral as well! I'LL BE PRAYING that none of you have to go through what i went through missing putting my grandmother to rest.

I had such a great experience with this collision center! Catherine was my point of contact and truly the sweetest. She kept me updated, made the whole process easy, and did a fantastic job coordinating the repairs. My car looks amazing — honestly, I think it came back better than before. They couldn’t find my exact wheel covers, but Catherine picked out a replacement that somehow looks even better (an upgrade I didn’t know I needed 😌). They got me in quickly and had everything completed in just two weeks, which felt like a miracle. They even called Enterprise for me and arranged for them to pick me up for my rental — talk about full service. Michelle at the front desk was also splendid and so easy to chat with while I waited. Overall, 10/10 experience. Sharing before and after photos because the glow-up deserves to be seen!
