Never go to this business for car repairs. They will purposefully break one of your car's parts and charge you for it. This business is dishonest, disrespectful, and unfair. This business is a scam. I went in to have service John"s Auto Pros my Mitsubishi Montero sport ls to have service Transmission Fluid change and all belts. John's called me the Mitsubishi Serpentine Belt Water Pump to Power Steering the bracket hold a bolt to adjust belts broke. John told me they make a tight wrap around the bolt to secure the bolt for me to be able to drive home. And he told me to have part to replace and bring the car back. John called me that there is a part ready for replacement and I went to have the car, there was a wrong part and waited for a new part to be placed again. John called me back for the car to pick up, then when i checked the bracket again to confirm if its repaired, i saw one the bracket adjustment / bolt broken off into pieces. It was clear that they broke it after they called me because the broken piece was shiny (void of covered oil) meaning it has been recently damaged. Then they claim I broke it and charge me over $700. Although John (the owner of this business) is nice to talk to, he should know the truth of what happen to my car. I suspect one of his mechanics lied to him that I broke the car where they clearly broke one of the parts of the car. I also suspect one of the mechanics tied the bolt too tightly and then the part broke off. Never bring your car to this business. You will get scammed.

I have driven pass John’s Auto Pro’s for many years. I can’t remember when I believe it was last year sometime someone on the Nextdoor group highly recommended . I was due for an oil change. I said to myself, let’s do it. i They are located, literally around the corner from where I live. Outstanding customer service 💯💯 The key part is the honesty, reliability, excellent timing on getting you back on the road I am a very happy and satisfied customer

Awesome shop! I’ve brought 3 of my vehicles here and they have done tremendous work! The quality of their work is worth the price! Our 2012 Mazda had vibration issues while driving and other auto shops just said it was an alignment issue and seem to not really care to do a full inspection of the vehicle. So I decided to just look around on Yelp and happen to see John’s Auto in Escondido which is fairly close for me. Brought it over and they did a full inspection, provided pictures of the issues and other concerns, and weren’t pushy but friendly about it. They were completely professional about what needed to be taken cared of and what should be replaced/ repaired down the line. Overall great experience and our Mazda vibration issue was resolved and it’s been over a year and half since then! Overall, great and trust worthy shop!

My mother is 77. English is her second language. She drives a 2001 Saturn, a car old enough to rent its own car, from a badge that hasn't existed in 15 years. In most places, she'd be an easy target; a padded invoice with a smile. The kind of customer mechanics quietly thank the gods for. But not at John's Auto Pros. For over a decade, John and his wife have treated her with respect, patience, and that elusive thing you can't Yelp your way into: actual integrity. Back when I lived out of town, John or his wife would drive her home after drop-offs. That's not customer service. That's just... being good people. I've spot-checked a few repairs over the years... asked mechanics what a reasonable person would charge, asked friends what a less reasonable person HAS charged. John's invoices were always fair. Sometimes greatly so, like he's charging less than he could because decency keeps him up at night--and he'd rather not owe his conscience anything before bed. You don't build trust like that with clever marketing or a social media whiz. You build it one unexploited opportunity at a time.

Most beautiful bathroom and the nicest auto shop I ever been! HOWEVER! Review doungraded to one star ZERO if possible So John's Auto Pros is not exactly is not exactly Auto Pros. About a year ago we owed my dad's vintage Jeep Cherokee and hope to repair it and restore it to its previous glory. Auto Pros took in the car and started with changing the tires and the battery, which was paid upfront. However after 6 months of a lot of back and forth and the Jeep sitting in the shop, the shop owner declared that he doesn't have the time or resources to repair it. When the moment came to pick up the Jeep and tow it to someone who's actually a professional it was discovered the catalytic converter was stolen from the car while it was at the Jones Auto Pros. John Auto Pros refused to admit it was their fault and reimburse the damage, when in fact if the catalytic converter was previously stolen the exhaust would be hanging down from under the car and the towing would not be even possible. Besides, the so-called Auto Pros did not notice that the catalytic converter is missing when they accepted the car for repair? The images showing fresh cuts, it clear the theft happened quite recently. In any case John Auto Parts are refusing to admit that they are at fault and reimburse the damage, they just shrugged it away. The Bottom Line Auto Pros are maybe only good for changing oil and maybe some tires. That's about it. Shameful situation. PS After the Jeep was towed just down the road to an actual professional mechanic, it was fixed and upnrunning in a matter of just a couple of weeks.

Love this place!! I made the mistake of taking my car in for an oil change to a local big chain service station (Evans Tire) where they proceeded to give me a laundry list of repair items when I went to pick it up. They told me tell me my breaks were in really bad shape, to the point I should not be driving the vehicle at all. They told me it was unsafe and they wanted $2,600 to fix them. I called a family member and they recommended I call John and get a second option. John was nice enough to review the report over the phone with me, then quickly got my car in for an inspection. Turns out, my breaks were just fine! I did have an oil leak, and John and his crew were able to get that fixed for a very reasonable price. This is now the only place I will take my car! I know they will be honest with me and not try to take advantage. Thank you John!

I’ve searched for a local mechanic since moving to Escondido in the past few years. This place treats their customers like family! I cannot say enough great things about them! As a female customer bringing her car to a mechanic, I was concerned. Those cares went away quickly. Everything was explained to me at length, without hesitation. They were patient, knowledgeable and downright pleasant. There were no surprises. Their rates were comparable and I TRUSTED them completely. It was easy to make an appointment and they told me when my car would be ready. They completed all the work I requested, and they also showed me that my engine air filter was dirty. They said they could have one in about 10-15 minutes if I’d like to wait. I said yes, and the air filter arrived in about 10 minutes and I was good to go. They even showed me where I had a bad axle seal. They gave me a quote, but told me I should check with my dealer first because they thought it should be covered under my drive-train warranty. Who does that? John’s Auto Pros does! And they were correct. I took my car to the dealer, told them what John’s had found, and the dealership confirmed that the repair would be covered under warranty. That’s honesty and integrity! I will never go anywhere else to have my auto serviced. Thank you, John’s Auto Pros!!!

Went for 100k tuneup. They are very friendly and professional on the phone and in person. Quick appointment and good service. All inspections+oil change+filters was about $500 in half day. Parts $ seemed high (like air filter for $45?!) but making myself believe they used good quality parts.. Overall Good!
