Approximately 6 months ago I had my transmission rebuilt here. I came back at 1,2, and month 4 after getting it rebuilt from a leak they couldn't fix. Finally on the 3rd time the mechanic put the correct output shaft seal on. By this time I had already noticed slipping, the mechanic played it off as the torque converter. Now at month 6 my transmission needs a another rebuild since it's slipping left and right. I don't have my receipt since moving so they will not warranty there work. Be for warned that they don't know the parts there putting in and they will not back there work. Horrible business practices. Needless to say I'll be going to Inglewood transmission in Fullerton for have them rebuild it again. At least I know it'll be done right. Great people at Inglewood trans ask for Mike l. If you come to Jr autotec expect to be ripped off and have sub par work done by sub par employees.

I called JR Auto Tech to ask about having spacers installed on my front suspension. The receptionist said she would check with the mechanics and call me back in a few minutes. After waiting an hour with no response, I called again and was told she was too busy to return my call. She then gave me a number to text a photo of the part to so the mechanic could review it and provide an estimate. I sent the photo, but never received any follow-up. If they can't keep their word on a simple callback, I have little confidence in their reliability or workmanship. Save yourself the frustration and take your vehicle to a shop that values your time and business.

I took my 1986 van for a motor rebuilt. Received after 5 months, $4,000. + Drove it home, no radiator water, incorrect oil sensor, timing off 30 degrees off. I've requested the smog pump to be installed. Didn't install. I just hope the motor works well on my long trip to visit family.

I initially brought my car in due to a check engine light. I was told the issue had been identified and repaired, but shortly after, the light came back on. I returned multiple times—almost weekly—with the same concern, and despite spending nearly $2,500, the problem was never truly resolved. The car is now leaking a significant amount of antifreeze and oil, and the check engine light remains on. While the staff were friendly and courteous, I can’t recommend this shop based on my experience. It felt like the repairs were based on guesswork, and unfortunately, my vehicle is in worse condition now than when I first brought it in. I give two stars because like I said, nice people.

After over a month and half and 2600$ later I finally get my car and when I drove it home I can hear the transmission shifting and making noise like it was loose!! I didn’t want to deal with them anymore so I did a small basic check myself, I jacked the car up myself and checked it out , turns out they left a motor mount without a nut. I had to finish the job myself ! Unbelievable!!! Do not come here !!! At least do the job right if you’re going to have a car for almost 2 months.who knows what else is loose that’s not immediately visible. They lost a customer that has a study flows of cars that need maintenance. I will say the transmission is working well, and the staff was nice, but there is no reason to have my car for almost 2 months and leave a motor mount loose… I’m very mechanically inclined and the motor mounts were the first thing I checked and it’s crazy that that was one of the first things I check was wrong

Brought my ‘89 Chevy Cheyenne in as my manual transmission housing and internal sink-rows got damaged and left me stranded on the freeway. Got it towed to this place on behalf of recommendations from an exhaust shop. Thankfully, they fixed my old-school Chevy truck.
