I think that this shop may be good for newer Subaru's based on other reviews but my experience with my older Subi was somewhat disappointing. I dropped it off to get an inspection, and to possibly fix some issues with the clutch and rear shocks. However, after not hearing anything for a few days I gave them a call to check up on things. It took me a bit to get through to them but when I did, I was told that they were not able to find any parts at all for my car, from Subaru. I told them that I was able to find many third party/aftermarket parts and I was okay with that, but I was then told that if I bought these parts on my own and brough them in, they would install them. They did not charge me anything and I came to pick up my car that night. I was the able to go to Subaru's official parts website that same night, and by some of the parts I needed. Mainly parts for the clutch. While the people I spoke with were very kind, this whole experience left me disappointed and frustrated.

I took my 2011 WRX in when the clutch started going out. JR's did a thorough diagnostic and confirmed the clutch was going out and found a few other minor issues with the car. When they called to go over the diagnostic findings they gave their suggestions but also went over what my other options were and OEM versus aftermarket parts that I asked about. Very neutral conversation, they were patient with my questions, and had no pressure to go one route over the other which was appreciated. I felt very comfortable with the shop and how they handled communication. They were able to suggest the appropriate clutch that would be able to properly support the power of my modified vehicle so that I don't end up eating another clutch before the end of its life expectancy. I don't have confidence that a non-Subaru specialty shop would've had the knowledge to do the same. I'll be bringing my car back in for any future needs and for a tune refresh now that they offer dyno tunes. 10/10 recommend!!

I own a 2015 Subaru WRX that had a catastrophic clutch failure while I was driving home from work on the highway. I called JR's Garage on Wednesday and was able to schedule an appointment with a quote for Friday about replacing the clutch with an upgrade. Within six hours of having the car in the shop on Friday, I had a complete estimate for parts, hours, and additional work that needed to be done and we were able to order the parts and have the job complete by the following Thursday. The work was quality and the communication by the team was top notch. I look forward to working with this team in the future and will be a returning customer for future jobs!

Great work. Finally got my clutch fixed! I took my car to get the clutch replaced and was honestly a little unsure whether the issue could be fixed. The car had issues with the clutch for years and the clutch had been replaced about 2 years prior. It didn’t seem to be an easy fix but they figured it out. They also went out of their way to get some of my parts. Super happy with the service.

JR's got me a quote super fast for the valve seal I needed replaced. They scheduled me on my preferred day, sent a text to confirm the day before (super appreciated) and finished my car in a timely manner. When I went to pick up, the owner explained to me the other minor issues they noted, one being a new battery. The one i had still works but was 9 years old and who knows when it might go. He replaced the battery for me right there when I asked. I'll be bringing my 08' impreza back here for anything she needs, including recommended work we hit 80k. Thanks so much!

Once again I have taken my new vehicle (subi) to Jrs to not only look at the vehicle but to maintain its performance in EVERY WAY. Just had new brakes and rotors put on and in the near future will be bringing it back for new clutch and oil leakage protection. Try NATHALIE as an appointment, which you could never spell right, we had an appointment scheduled for TWO PM, WAITED 25 MINUTES IN YOUR PARKINGLOT, by the way. We also pulled on your locked doors and knocked and yoir garage door around 225 🫶🏼 you guys are genuinely unprofessional AND YALL TEXTED NAT. Doors locked, lights off, called and calls wouldnt go through, had an appointment scheduled, saw two other people walk up and pull on the doors and leave as well. ended up leaving with no service or answer as to what was happening, and will just be going somewhere else from now on.

All I can say is amazing things about my experience with Jr’s garage. After an unfortunate event with my 2010 Wrx getting rod knock. I started looking and reviewing shops all over using google yelp and even Facebook. I found Jr and started talking about what was going on and what my needs were and found that Jaime was an amazing person to work with. He took the time to look and see what the true problem was and what I wanted in the long-term goals for my car. Jaime took my stock 2010 wrx, and did a full build (IAG motor, Blouch turbo, etc.), and built my dream car. From the motor build to all the electrical with the gauges I had added and made my car what it is today. He is a great person to work with and he is the reason I drive 1.5 to 2 hours to have anything worked on my car (even a simple oil change.)

I've been incredibly happy taking my Series Grey STI here, after being loyal to a previous shop for years and after a change of ownership the quality of service went down dramatically, but the customer service at Jr's is fantastic, as well as the quality of work, I would recommend anyone with a Subaru to come here, definitely the only place I'm taking my car for all future needs.

Thought they were great, was recommended by numerous people. Dropped my Subaru off for an inspection, we couldn’t figure out what was wrong as it was over heating. He claimed to have driven it 15 miles with no issue and had it idol for an hour and It supposedly never overheated. Within 5 minutes into my 10 min drive home (which it had make just fine that morning) it was overheating and unlike before it was not dropping with ac/ heater, or speed so it had somehow gotten worse in his care. Finally across the bridge and able to safely pull over my radiator cap had blown off the radiator. I called him this morning and he basically said “yeah I dunno probably a head gasket” so I payed for a service to get zero answer as to what’s going on with my car & and now My car which had the day prior made it all the way to Albany cannot back out of my driveway. Great.

The testimonial: Great experience with JR ‘s. I needed someone who really knows the intricacies of vintage Subarus. My 02 WRX Wagon needed someone who can diagnose without strictly using the on board diagnostics. I had previously paid a shop to diagnose without any positive results .
