I brought my car for an alignment. I’ve done multiple cars here for alignments. Last time was exactly a year ago. This time I was charged not only for an alignment ($129) but another $37 charge to straighten the steering wheel. Every car I have brought in for previous alignments had a not-centered steering wheel and I was never charged extra for that. Isn’t that all part of the alignment? It’s a rhetorical question. I know it is. Just nickel and dimming everyone. Not coming back. Update: I did get a call from the manger who explained how in the past the steering-off-center was not charged but they had a change in how they price due to new equipment, processes, etc. While I still feel this is nothing but a price increase I appreciate the call to me explaining it. I have changed my star rating from 2 stars to 4 as the alignment is good, tight, and straight.

I worked with Adam and he was excellent. Great communication, advised me on what tire would be best for my wife’s car. They got me in and out in 30 minutes as a walk in needing a tire replaced. A true 5 star experience.

Adam was very helpful in getting my windshield wipers replaced quickly. He also recommended a future service that my car will need. I appreciate the great customer service!

We have used Lamb's numerous times over the past ~20 years. Our two most recent experiences were not great, and with a combination of rude employees + poor repair/workmanship, we won't be going back. In short, ran over an item on hwy 71 and that destroyed a tire + wheel. Went to Lamb's to have them fix it, took them a few weeks. Possibly understandable because they had to work through a corporate vehicle company to get approval for the repair, but it still seemed slow and communication was lacking. When we got the car back, the new tire (on a new wheel) immediately starting leaking air (~15 psi over a couple of days). Took it back to have them fix it, they kept the car for several days and couldn't figure it out. They tried to tell us these psi drops are normal, but when my wife explained 15 psi drop in a day or two is not normal, they got defensive and rude. Ultimately they could not figure out the cause of the leak and just told us to pick up the car. Guess we'll take it somewhere qualified to get it repaired. Noted that Lamb's no longer seems to stand behind their workmanship.

Great work! Vic took care of my Lexus and was able to spot some key issues that would have been trouble down the line.

I've had mixed experiences on my visits. Previously, they were really helpful about helping me diagnose an alignment problem with my rear axle, and provided me a quote without any obligation. That was great. This past week, however, I had them replace a flat tire. They said they'd do it on Saturday but didn't get it done until Monday evening. (On Saturday evening, they indicated they'd get to it first thing on Monday.) Then, when my wife picked it up, they were completely unhelpful to her. I asked her to verify that they would check the tire pressure on all four tires, since I thought one of them seemed a bit low. Not only did they blow her off and decline to check, but when she left the check tire pressure light was on (!). I ended up filling up all four tires when I got home, INCLUDING the one they had just replaced, which they filled to 36 lbs but should have been 44lbs. Clearly, they dropped the ball on this one.

Used to get great service quickly, now I drop my car off at 8am and they're too busy to look at it until the afternoon. Then, I'm lucky if they determine why my check engine light is on. $175 to plug in a Gameboy and then not Identify the problem. Sorry, guys, I'll have to try the next place from here on out. I have to use my car to get to work and cannot operate on a "maybe this will take a couple of days" feedback cycle. Brought my car in a month ago, dropped car at 8am, told it would be looked at several times throughout the day, then stated they couldn't figure it out by 3pm, and tried to charge me $175 for doing literally nothing. Today, dropped my car at 8am, it is now noon, and it isn't even in the que. Wonder if they'll find anything this time before bilking me. This is a bad joke, what happened to the service? I'll buy my own diagnostic machine after this or go to Autozone, what a waste of time and money. Update: they called and helped get the maintenance light off and didn't charge me for diagnostic. Thank you.

Went in for an alignment at this location a few weeks ago and it was a pretty awful experience. I dropped my car off at their shop around 10am and they were not able to compete the work for a simple alignment until 5:30pm. They also charged me an extra $50 because my car is “modified”. My car has no suspension changes to it at all and I have only recently had to replace a upper and lower control arm with their stock replacements, when asked why they charged me extra their reasoning was “because I had done suspension work on it myself and that they had to check that all the bolts were correct.” On top of that when I picked up my car the alignment paper that prints from their machine was completely destroyed and unreadable due to a printer malfunction. Disappointing experience and won’t be returning in the future.

I visited this location of Lamb's Tire & Auto rather than US-290 location that I usually had previous service with, and Adam helped me with my older model car that had trouble starting. I was told the alternator was bad, but it was actually an issue of driving the car on the highway to charge the battery. I found this to be a very honest business, where I was not charged (no pun intended) to remedy the problem. Thank you!

I had a diagnostic done on my vehicle for a check engine light. Front desk said they would call a day later. I waited 2 days before I called them to find out what was taking so long. They said it was complete and that it needed new spark plugs. The shop wanted to charge me $1430 to replace the spark plugs and do a fuel line cleaning. I then called the local dealership and they did the same service for $600. I asked a friend about this place and he had the same experience, overpriced services.

I went into Lamb’s Auto for a simple alignment and left with a bigger problem than I started with. Thankfully, getting a second opinion saved me $2,000 and a massive headache. A little while ago, I took my car in for what a quick alignment should’ve been. They finished the job, took payment, and sent me on my way with almost no explanation. I assumed everything was fine — until I started driving and the car immediately veered sharply to the right, straight into another lane. I turned around and went back. The manager stepped in, reviewed the notes with me, and told me it looked like my right suspension was bent and that this was “likely from a car accident.” I told him I wasn’t in one. I mentioned driving over a curb slowly a while back and asked if that could’ve caused it — he acted like that was the explanation. He brought me outside with the tech (who I assume did the alignment) and pointed at parts under the car as if I’d know what I was looking at. We went back inside and then came the quote: nearly $2,000 — or possibly junkyard parts “if that might fix it.” At that price, I joked I should just put it toward a new car. Fast-forward: I finally got a second opinion. The mechanic took one look and said nothing was bent at all — not the suspension, not the frame. Instead, it looked like whoever did the alignment at Lamb’s messed it up badly, but they were able to correct it and now the car drives perfectly. So yes — I’m furious. Lamb’s Auto made the issue worse, misdiagnosed the problem, and nearly convinced me to spend $2,000 on repairs I didn’t need. Please be cautious if you go here. Ask questions. Don’t take their word for it. Or honestly, just go somewhere else. I’ve since found a new mechanic who actually knows what they’re doing — and the second opinion was absolutely worth it. I am putting in a complaint because who knows what else they misdiagnosed.

They installed a battery for me that the folks at Advance Auto Parts couldn’t install properly due to a part in the way. Lamb’s had it fixed and ready to go in 15 minutes. They didn’t even charge me when they easily could’ve made quick money off of me. Next time I need a battery or service, I’ll go to Lamb’s first!

The service advisor that helped me, I think his name is Adam was amazing! Communicated every step of the way, did everything he said he would do. His boss was embarrassing though, threw a fit right in front of me over .99 cents! Are they even allowed to charge .99 over your deductible? Sketchy. Also, the appointment times are for oil changes only. If you make an appointment your car just goes in line like everyone else. I had an appointment for 8 am at 9:30 they left a message asking what they could do for my car as if they had no idea. Then at 3:30 I called for status only to learn my place in line would likely be sometime the next day. This place is too busy to be concerned about your convenience, recommend finding another location.

Absolutely shredded my tire on Oltorf and called Lamb's right away. Chase was so helpful in guiding me in what to do - even offering advice on who to reach out for for towing to get that covered. Once I brought my car over, I got a new tire on in and out within an hour on a Saturday. Excellent customer service and so efficient!

I was a loyal customer of Lamb’s for many years until I leased a new vehicle from a dealership (warranty now covers most things). Due to an unprecedented wait time for diagnostics at my dealership, I went to Lamb’s on South Lamar and spoke with Ryan Bunton. This man was an absolute angel for me in a time of vulnerable uncertainty- he stood on integrity and exceptional customer care, educated me on so many levels about my vehicle and how to proceed with considerations to my warranty. I have also had exceptional experiences with other service advisors over the years. It has been my experience that they are transparent, honest, and not pushing to add on unnecessary expenses. I can confidently recommend Lamb’s on South Lamar, South Congress, and Sunset Valley. All three have earned my trust and appreciation after many years of service. Thank you Ryan!

I must give a shoutout to Vic, Braylon, and the manager of the location on S. Lamar! I went in for an oil change, which was great! However, learned some news about my vehicle that I would not have known otherwise. Let’s just say…. what they diagnosed about my vehicle, should have been diagnosed long ago from a previous repair shop. They have officially gained my trust.

I had work done at Lambs twice previously prior to 2023 and this location was fine. My experience this time was a disappointing sales pitch. My vehicle is now 10 years old, a little over 100k miles. Lambs just recommended $3,500 worth of repairs including tires, windshield wipers, shocks, struts, brakes, it was comical. I requested a diagnostic to repair a vibration in the steering and received a list of every part in the 10 year old car that they were seriously suggesting we replace. It was absolutely not worth the $100 diagnostic fee.
