I've had him work on my '86 760 turbo wagon a few times. Helpful, knowledgeable, and fair - both pricing and what does and does not need work. A lil bit of zealot (sorry, LesSchwab will take care of some things bc I want their warranty and locations if I lose a tire or strut etc.). You do have to be a little persistent when calling. But, if a person gets grumpy if they aren't called back immediately after one call then perhaps not the right shop anyway. I do some/fair amount of work myself. For example I waiting on an overflow tank from IPD and will do that myself. But, that's just me.

Super sad... I heard a ton of great things about this place, but it's been a week and they never called back about a simple replacement for my coolant reservoir. I get they're probably busy, busy, busy, but at least call people back. Took my Volvo to Daisywagen instead--LOVED IT.

Brought my car in to get my drivers window fixed. The glass didn’t sit in place when rolling the window. So we were given 2 options: 1)They will try their best to do what then can to fix it. 2) Spend $400 to buy a new part to fix it. We went with option 1. In the end, the problem was not fixed but we were charged $314 for it. I can justify paying around $100 for their time/labor, but to pay $314 for something that was not resolved is absurd. I came here based on all the positive reviews. Very disappointed that we paid so much for nothing. :/

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Absolutely rude. If it's an easy repair he can charge a lot for he can get you in quick. If it's something more complex he'll either hang up on you or say he's booked out for months. Nasty tone too.

I can’t say enough good things about Larsens’s Volvo repair on Roosevelt. I got an honest first hand estimate by the same guy who’s working on my Volvo and no middle man to jack up the price. I have happily switched my Volvo car maintenance to Larsens’s Volvo on Roosevelt from my previous mechanic of 25 years that was just down the street a ways. Larsens’s offered to FIX the problem I was having for less than the estimate of the other place just looking at it. So right off I saved a bunch of money and the service was top notch and exactly as promised. It’s great to have a trusted mechanic! And Larsens’s also will handle repairs for some Japanese cars - so I’m thinking of getting one of those next, once my trusty Volvo finally gives up the ghost.

Peter is amazing, I looked for a long time to find Larson's and will not go anywhere else to have my C70 serviced. It's 30 miles out of my way yet I gladly make this drive four times a year..

Larson's has a new owner. He is very knowledgeable about all makes of cars and a great mechanic!! i appreciated his honesty and integrity and at no time did I feel pressured. He explained everything in detail and was very patient with the fact that I know very little about cars! I will definitely be a customer for life! :-)

Great service. I have a 1990 volvo wagon and have been taking it to Larson's since I moved to Seattle 5 years ago. Peter is a great person and an even better mechanic. Will give you a fair, itemized estimate, will explain and show you exactly what is going wrong and what he will need to fix, and keeps great communication. Couldn't recommend higher.

Just moved here from out out state and there was a lot of anxiety revolving around finding another mechanic for my Volvo XC90, especially after having the same mechanic for 8+ years. During my searches for a shop, I looked up both reviews online and I also met a few Volvo owners personally. All roads lead to Larson's Volvo Repair. Unfortunately, I am running into some very costly issues and needed repairs. I had many questions for the owner Peter revolving around the repairs, the urgency and the cost. He was very thorough, patient and understanding when addressing my concerns. We came up with a plan of attack and prioritized the work needed, which softened the sticker shock blow for me. Once comfortable and confident with the shop, I authorized Larson's to do the first of the work, I came into a bill that was a few hundred dollars less than the original estimate! That, with the fact that they vacuumed my vehicle before releasing it to me gets them 5 stars. I was very satisfied and will be a future customer.

Peter bailed me out with an emergency repair on the day before Thanksgiving to prevent me from being stranded. Very knowledgable about Volvo repairs and had needed parts on the shelf. Excellent customer service. Best of all was willing to communicate with me (a female) respectfully as a person. Confirmed with my mechanic when I got home and work was done at a fair price! Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely return and highly recommend this shop to anyone!

I've been coming to Larson's for 3+ years now for routine maintenance on my Volvo XC60. Peter provides incredible service and the best customer experience I've had with an auto repair shop. You won't get a better locally-owned family ran business than the one Peter is running here. If you want straight prices (almost always under dealership cost), plus full transparency and genuine care for your vehicle's maintenance needs, don't hesitate to take your car here, you won't regret it. I genuinely can't say enough good things about Larson's!

I never leave reviews, but Peter (the owner/mechanic) deserves it. If you're looking for an honest, cost-effective, thorough and diligent mechanic, this is where you need to go. My car needed extensive maintenance (i.e. replaced axles, etc.) Before I moved out of state. He shopped around with vendors and replaced a bunch of stuff that he discovered while doing the original work, at no additional cost to me, just because that's how he operates. He even gave me a new air filter, which was not on the original estimate, at no charge just because he recognized I needed one. He even described everything to me ahead and showed me the old broken parts without me asking. My car drives better than when I first got it a decade ago from the dealership. 10/10 would recommend Larson to any of my friends and family.

Peter (and Dave) of Larson’s Volvo are simply the best, in every sense of the word. I found them online, through Yelp actually, when I was searching for a new garage to service my 2004 Volvo XC70. After a couple years of being unsatisfied with the local big box Volvo guys, I decided I needed to change up my mechanic, and I now have a relationship for life. From the first time I took my Volvo into Larson’s, I have been at total ease. Peter’s disarming and honest approach was so earnest and refreshing, I couldn’t help but feel my car was in the right hands. He did a full inspection just to figure out what (if anything) needed to be done, and then gave me a thorough and honest breakdown of the car’s status. Instead of pushing me to get any and everything done that wasn’t 100%, he gave me a prioritized list to help me understand what was really important and why. He has always acted as if it were his own car – and this is key – instead of just doing things to make more money. He provides an honest breakdown of what is going on, how much things will cost, and an honest assessment of whether it’s worth it or not, and often it’s not. And then 2 years down the road, when that deferred maintenance becomes a bigger issue, you not only know it’s coming but have complete trust and faith that Peter and Dave are doing everything right. Over 3 years or so, there have been numerous occasions where Peter has gone out of his way to help me save costs – whether it’s him scrounging his contacts to find used replacement parts when appropriate, or giving my wife and me the assurance we need that doing something in 6 or 12 months down the line won’t be a problem. I simply cannot stress enough how happy I am to have found Larson’s, and I will continue to go out of my way to recommend them to friends. My car is likely nearing the end of its life, and I remarked to Peter how I may have to buy another Volvo just so I can keep him as my mechanic, but he assured me they can do basically any car! So Volvo or not, take your car to Larson’s if you want exemplary service, 100% transparency, good pricing, excellent work, and an awesome mechanic.

This is such a great place to bring my car. My husband and I both bring our cars here. Peter has good communication skills, he is very knowledgeable about cars. He does his best to give us options and explain the different ways to take care of things. He’s well connected in the auto repair business. I highly recommend Peter to take care of your car!

Wow!! When I started up my 1976 Volvo 245 DL after Peter worked on some drivability issues, it felt and sounded amazing! Before, I would try to start the car and it would die if I didn't lean on the gas pedal for at least a minute. After the work he put into it, I turned the key and it was running on it's own! Fantastic, I am really impressed with his skill, customer service, and my new 1976 Green Machine! Highly recommend this shop for any Volvo issue; Peter was able to do what other shops have not, help it live up to its reputation of being a dependable and safe vehicle. Thank you Larson's! :)
