These guys are the most honorable, service-oriented crew I have ever come across in all my years of car ownership and maintenance. I've brought them a couple quirky problems and in each instance they went out of their way to fix the issue quickly with great service and a fair price. When their schedule was too full for a last minute repair, they've made solid recommendations without fear. It's also worth noting that the handful of bad reviews here have been responded to promptly, and indicate the reviewer was mistaken in the business they reviewed. Certainly my own experience has been worthy of the five stars and is totally in keeping with every other glistening review here.

I was brought here by a couple that were buying my used car and was so impressed with the service! They gave my car a total look-over, took it for a drive, and were very thorough. The staff was all very friendly. I interacted with three of them and they were all fantastic. Definitely going to switch and have them be my mechanic (aptly named) from now on!

Was recommended to this shop by D&D brakes across the street and was beyond satisfied with my experience. Took my Honda Accord to this shop for a transmission service and to inspect a “leak” in my power steering fluid another shop claimed to find. Paid 187 for the service, a full inspection, and a replacement to a O-distributer ring that was leaky and affecting my transmission. Job was done in about 2 hours! I have visited 2 major popular mechanics in downtown Seattle and U district, both of which were quoting me thousands of dollars of work for repairs I’ve had done in the past 2-3 years that they could not “verify” due to it not being updated on the carfax (Michigan autoshops don’t often upload their work to carfax!). David and his team did a complimentary inspection and affirmed that nothing was wrong with my vehicle that I was being told by a different shop was present, and well as some assistance with timeline on my transmission. Will be bringing my car here from now on for honest accurate pricing and quality repairs.

Finding an honest mechanic is almost as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack! I have had my current car since 2006, brand new- Subaru Forester/ 4 door. To be fair , many of my car issues over the years have been outright weird... for a well maintained car. I have since found out that Subaru had " issues" with their 2006 Foresters. If my car hadn't been given to me by my father who had passed away, I would have gotten rid of this Subaru and gone with Toyota.. years ago. But, due to wise advice I have kept it and simply fixed the problems. I think I have had everything conceivably replaced or repaired since 2006. During this time I have hopped around to all kinds of mechanics from Seattle, Kirkland, Oahu, Bothell, Lake Forest Park back to Seattle, growing more and more discouraged with dishonest- incompetent ..over charging mechanics. I finally took it to the Dealer thinking their service department would at least be competent.... WRONG!! Especially the dealer I bought my Subaru from... they are overpriced and extremely dishonest!! One of my local Chevron dealers were able to fix one issue relatively inexpensively but, their service providers all charge differently and with unreasonable pricing. I recently was told by them that I had a strut leaking and I needed 2 even though only 1 was leaking... Their estimate was highly unreasonable so, I went shopping on google once again for a new mechanic... Alas!! My Mechanic was literally found! Great reviews and close by. I first spoke with Adam over the phone and he was so kind and mentioned - "IF I had one strut that was leaking, I didn't need 2!! " Go figure... He mentioned he would check out my car first and let me know exactly along with an estimate. I was impressed with the response and scheduled. I had to schedule out a week and take it in really early; before 8AM... But, I'm glad I did!! I met the Owner, David Deangelo- also very nice- experienced- informative and helpful!! I think I have finally found a good mechanic for my car to continue providing the best care for her!! Thank you My Mechanic!! Your customer for life...

David is honest, knowledgeable, kind, and fair! Best mechanic I've ever had. On multiple occasions he's given me multiple options on how to handle a situation (quick & cheap fix that may not last, mid price fix that will take a while to complete, OEM that will be pricy but perfect). I will take all of my vehicles to David for as long as I am in Seattle.

We only worked with Dave a couple of times so far, but he surely has earned our trust. We have been trying out different mechanic shops in Seattle for more than a year, but no other place makes us feel more comfortable handing over our cars. Dave has always been honest and transparent about what needs to be fixed and what can wait. He talks straight, gets the job done well, with a reasonable price and no hidden fees. I'd recommend Dave to anyone who's looking for a reliable mechanic for their vehicles.

Fantastic group to work with! I have used My Mechanic a few times now and I have been nothing but impressed with the customer service and quality of work done on my car. Services are reasonably priced and the front staff and mechanics are super nice. David is very knowledgeable and has been able to accurately diagnose my car problems based on his past experience and functioning knowledge of the systems. The parking lot is a bit small and can be difficult to park in, but it's worth the service you get!

My Mechanic was recommended by another business, and at first I almost disregarded the place bc they were booked for almost a month. Instead I waited and set an appointment in advance and I'm very glad I did. David was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly he didn't talk down to you. He explained the fixes he did and he was upfront about the costs. I expected to leave my car for a few days, but David had it ready that evening. When I started my car and drove it home I was shocked. My car ran better than it has in at least three years. Unfortunately I'm moving otherwise I would bring my car to David for everything. Cannot recommend this shop enough, but schedule ahead if you can.

I gave My Mechanic a call, they told me to come in same day, spent close to two hours figuring out what the issue was, resolved it, and didn’t charge me a penny.

Dave is a MECHANICAL GENIUS!! This is what he does and thank our lucky stars he is bringing it to the people. Absolutely trust him to look after my child! LOVE HIM. NO QUESTION. We have been using him for seriously, 17+ years. He services all our cars and there is no question I have that he can not answer. He's a straight no chaser. We have had him look after our 1997 Ford F250, ancient VW Jetta, 2004 Volvo XC90 etc. He knows when to call it quits and when to keep on fixing. A WEALTH of information is in his head regarding all makes and models when we are buying a new to us, used car. This guys is top notch. I got him off the Click and Clack web page of NPR a zillion years ago and have not looked back.....Seattle is a better place to live because we love and trust him so much. The entire community is oh so lucky to have him. PERIOD. Feel really lucky to have found someone this perfectly suited to his craft.

I’ve found my new mechanic! David is truly fantastic, and I could not recommend him more highly. My fellow women know that it is all too common to be taken advantage of in the auto world. I recently took my car to another mechanic for regular service and diagnostics and was presented with outrageous and overly priced suggested repairs. Not too long after, my low beam light went out and needed to be replaced. I wouldn’t go back there and was determined to replace it myself, but that didn’t work out either. That’s when I found David. He is fantastic, warm, kind, funny, and very personable. He offered me phenomenal and fair service, without an appointment, replacing my light, even telling me what he was doing each next step. He didn’t charge me for the labor, especially when it would have been totally fair to. He even refilled my window washer fluid and checked my oil without me even asking or expecting that of him. And when I told him I needed new tires, he took the time to talk me through what I would need, and why, and I so appreciated that. I will 100% be going back to David if it means continuing to get incomparable service from someone with so much integrity who will treat me as a human, and not as a woman who could be taken advantage of financially. Thank you so much, David! Very grateful.

My experience with Safelite for a broken rear car window was frustrating. They failed twice to complete the repair. The first attempt involved bringing the wrong glass. The second attempt, right before Thanksgiving, failed because the technician claimed the window regulator had stopped working, preventing the glass installation. Desperate to have my car fixed before the holiday, I sought a second opinion. Dave was a lifesaver. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the true issue and didn't stop there. He helped me source the correct parts and even recommended a repair shop that did the glass replacement for half the price Safelite was quoting. Dave, a true Good Samaritan, refused payment for his time and expertise. Thank you, Dave!
