I was from out of town to visit my daughter when the check engine light on my vehicle started flashing and I lost acceleration. I pulled over, turned it off and back on again and everything seemed fine. But, because it was a sudden occurrence I was afraid to drive home over 2 hours away. It was late after noon on Saturday and we couldn’t find anyone willing to run a diagnostic check to give me piece of mind for my drive home. Until we called LK Auto. Carlos answered his phone, I explained the problem, and he said (even though he was closed) to bring it by and he would run a check. He confirmed there were no fault codes and I felt a whole lot better. He didn’t charge me and said he was happy to help. He was kind, helpful and caring. No wonder all his reviews are 5-star…he is a kind person who cared more about helping someone from out of town than what time he closed. Thanks you so much Carlos!!

Carlos is amazing. My 2005 Subaru Forester's battery light came on nearby at 330pm. I went to the Napa Auto Parts to have it tested, and they confirmed the alternator wasn't charging the battery. They had the correct replacement in stock and called Carlos to see if he had any availability at 4pm on a Friday. He had the car fixed and running by 5pm. I cannot recommend him enough for his work product and price. We owe so much to him.

Our mini-van was leaking oil causing it to smoke from the engine. The dealer couldn’t get us in for an appointment for several weeks. We found LK Auto online on a Saturday morning and Carlos told us we could drop off the van that same afternoon. By Monday he had determined the leak was a loose oil pan and tightened it at no charge. We were very impressed and will definitely be back for our future vehicle needs!

Carlos is the epitome of an honest mechanic. I was told twice by my dealership that my brakes needed to be replaced, but the price they were quoting was astronomical. I heard about Carlos through my brother who takes cars frequently to him and highly recommended him. He got me in super quickly. After inspecting my brakes, he told me that they looked totally fine and didn’t actually need to be replaced. He could’ve just easily replaced both sets of brake pads and told me it was necessary and I wouldn’t have known any different. I was incredibly impressed with his integrity. When I went to pick up my car, I fully expected to pay for the brake inspection as I obviously took up his time. However, Carlos insisted that I didn’t owe him anything for the service which was incredibly kind. Would highly highly recommend to anybody looking for a mechanic in Madison!

I am very happy with these guys. I bought an awd vehicle and it needed a cv axle. Of course this part has been discontinued so I had to find an aftermarket one. He was willing to try to install it for me. It worked out great. I also asked him to check the fluids in the differentials and he topped one of them off for me. The prices were very fair and his work was excellent. I will be back soon for a brake job when it becomes necessary. I also like how he lets you be under the car with him. He points out stuff to you so you can see what he is doing. Very cool.

Carlos (the mechanic) is by far the best mechanic I have ever met: very kind, helpful, and shared all the information with me, with all options in full transparency. He charged $375 for rotors & break pads, for which other mechanics and dealers asked $450 at minimum. He allowed me to observe every step, did extra cares that usually other mechanics omit (such as lubrication, load bearing bolts & etc) and showed how my old break pads looked like, explained all details & intricacies. He also checked/refilled my oil for free just out of kindness. I would put 10 stars if there was such an option. He is just a gentle man with huge heart. I am glad that Earth still has such human beings 🥹❤️🫂 #Break #pads & #rotors This guy just loves his job and helps others with his skills.
