Phoenix is awesome. I own a 2002 Subaru Forester. To save money, I try to do as much of my own car repair work as possible with my limited knowledge and tools. Stuff that’s beyond my ability I take to Phoenix. A few years ago my starter began to fail. I researched how to replace it, bought a rebuilt starter at Autozone and then tried to remove my failing starter. The bolts securing the starter to the engine were frozen and I could not remove them. Worse, I stripped the head of one of them. I took my car to Phoenix and in 2 minutes they loosened the frozen bolts. They didn’t seek any payment say they didn’t mind doing me this one favor. But I insisted that I had to pay them something so they asked for $10. I drove my car home and successfully replaced the starter. Phoenix has also advised me on other car repair projects and their guidance and insights have,, so far, never been wrong. Thank you Phoenix.

The definition of an honest mechanic. I drive all the way from the east side just so I can get these guys to work on my vehicle. Excellent customer service. They never do anything or recommend anything that you don't need done. The work is always excellent and always comes with a fair price. They will give you knowledge and show you what's what under the hood. Without a question, as long as I own a foreign car, it's coming here.

These guys are great, I would recommend them to anyone. Bob and Jake helped me out and made me feel like family from the moment I walked into their establishment. I contacted them asking for help looking over a vehicle before a purchase. Jake came with and test drove it, was very insightful with his concerns. Then we brought the vehicle back to the shop where they put it in the air and thoroughly inspected everything. I'm really happy I did this as I almost purchased a vehicle that would have likely costed me a great deal so I had to pass on the purchase. If I happen to purchase a foreign car, I'm taking it here whenever it needs service! See for yourself.

I own a 2007 SAAB, which means parts and knowledgable mechanics are hard to come by. I had an ignition crisis and the car was stuck. Bob at Phoenix was busy to the rafters and recommended some other places that I could possibly get the work done. I was brushed off by all; Bob said "come in tomorrow". The guys fixed my car and were very clear about all of it. I have gone nowhere else since and all the work done has been excellent as well as reasonable. Last time I had the car in, Bob noticed a part on my seat that was hanging off. When I drove away it was in place (which I didn't realize until later) and I was grateful. It's a friendly, kind, professional, and happy group working at the top of their craft.

Very kind and efficient! We were picking up another car and the one we drove there had an alternator that went out right outside the shop. Even though they were about to close they made sure we could get home from there. Our second vehicle was fixed the next day at an affordable price. I would highly recommend Phoenix!

I couldn't recommend a auto shop more highly. The staff are friendly, professional, honest, and skilled. I have had basic upkeep work (i.e. oil changes) and more serious work (changing brake lines) there as well. Decided to take my Hyundai Tucson here after reading all the great reviews. I was in and out of the shop within 30 minutes and my car was no longer grinding whenever I turned the steering wheel. Price seemed incredibly reasonable. They let me look underneath the car and they pointed out the problem spot. Everyone at the shop was friendly and helpful. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I am not sure I have every been to a place like Phoenix or to a mechanic like Bob. They have taken the time to get to know us and our Volvo which has need a lot of work in the past couple of years. Bob lets me know when he thinks a repair is within my abilities to try at home, what parts to buy, and any pointers to getting the job done. And when we do have them do the work, I can always trust it will be done correctly and at an affordable price. I am sure our wagon would have died a long time ago if it weren't for Phoenix.

Phoenix Foreign Car Services is the best mechanic I've ever encountered, and is the only place I will ever take my Volvo S60 2.5T to be worked on! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. They will show you exactly what is wrong with your car and where, and their pricing is extremely reasonable. They installed upgraded parts on my car that I had ordered, did my timing belt and water pump for the cheapest price I'd been quoted, and even did extra things that I didnt ask for, like changing the bulb on my license plate light and securing a loose piece of plastic on my bumper. These are great guys who go above and beyond the call of duty and dont overcharge. I would recommend this place to anyone who is searching for a good, solid, fair mechanic.

If you live in the Madison area and own a Volvo--especially an older one--take it here. Bob and his staff are excellent. The work was done quickly and they were able to work with my budget. I also learned a ton from Bob, who has encyclopedic knowledge about these cars and is happy to teach you a thing or two. Best auto shop! Bob and Kearsten are some of the nicest people ever--I could not recommend this place enough. I recently purchased a 2009 Volvo XC70 and Bob showed me everything that needed to be fixed and explained the fixes and the price of everything before he started working on it. I called to make an appointment on Monday and my Car was done by Wednesday morning, which is unbelievable and I was so grateful for. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.
