Work was done quickly. Finding the building can be tricky if you're not familiar with the older areas of Virginia Beach.

I had some issues with my wheel bearing but these guys fixed it in just a couple hours with a bill lower than other garages I've asked. The only thing that I didn't like is that the parts they needed to fix my vehicle they asked me to go get them which I thought was pretty unprofessional. But it was only 225 to fix my wheel bearing compared to the 400+ other garages had told me.

My family has been using Sid and his garage since the 80’s. The father who opened the garage was a legend. His son follows the tradition of a honest fair place to service your vehicle.

Charged a fair price for a tensioner pulley and serpentine belt replacement. Showed the broken parts after too. Would use their services again.

I went there for a inspection for my wife lil sisters inspecton . The guy was rude to me right off the back . Said he didn't care what I had done to it that It had nothing to do with the inspection .....well I was just trying to relay that I had done a considerable amount of work to it to keep it road worthy . (I was lil unsure about the tires) so I got rejected it was expected the battery was not bolted down missed a light bulb & the front lights were not 100% secured down . Drivers side tire They also claimed there was a power steering leak .(when I checked the power steering reservoir it was completely full so I replaced all the fluids anyway ) the leak was a oil leak that I fixed to a tiny drip . All were fixed in 2 days and back to the inspector greeted the grumpy old dude when I got there & then he acted like he did not remember me . (That struck me a lil funny cuz his daughter worked in the ice cream shop next to my store for a few years & quincentennially the reason I knew the shop was there )so ...........the grumpy old dude on the telephone accused me of switching the drivers side tire with the passenger side & suggested I did the same with the brake lamp . ($1.99 fix:/)Also said the power steering rack was still dripping & accused me of another shady fix . Guy has the people skills of that guy from office space bill lumbburg .lol . The next inspection station I took it to politely told me I had a small oil leak & said it does not affect the inspection so.......don't go here they are pretty lame don't know oil from power steering fluid . What a Grumpy old jerk !

These are my go to guys. They have been around forever, honest and don't charge a fortune like the dealers. I love them and most importantly I trust them. For a single girl in the city they are a Godsend. I HIGHLY recommend them. I would send my kids and know they would be taken really good care of. A dying breed this place. They CARE!

Brought my truck in for engine diagnostic/repair. Engine light on. Truck ran fine but check engine light on. Their idea of a fix is to just throw parts at it which only made the truck run worse…much worse. So, the new plan since not competent enough to fix was give me the money back rather than figure it out and fix. This on top of 5 trips back and forth to listen to excuses. Don’t know how they pay the rent. Total hacks

This is a small auto shop. I called to make an appointment for an oil change and to check my lights. My appointment was handled as scheduled. The owner was very friendly and engaging and explained things well. The young man that took care of my car checked everything before returning it to me. He even checked the air pressure in my tires. I am very confident that I will go back there if my car needs any other work. Typically, I have gone to the dealership where I bought the car - I live in California. That dealership is great. I called the dealership in Virginia Beach and they quoted me three different prices for the oil change and couldn't quote anything for bulb change. Lowes knew exactly what type of oil I needed for my particular car. Go figure!

Failed my inspection for work he did the prior year. Then tried to nickle and dime me, saying he didn't know if he could replace the part. I assume this is how he tries to rack up the cost for parts and labor... Didn't take the bait though, took it to another mechanic where it passed with no problems. The owner was also rude and dismissive, not helpful. My experience was not pleasant, I would recommend taking your car somewhere more reliable and trustworthy. Response to owner: Now we have an audience you want to address my issue? When I was at your garage you turned your back on me and said you were busy. This was not my first issue dealing with you either, every time I took my car there you would find some minor issue with it and then try to refer me to another mechanic, 10/10 I fixed the issue myself. Once I even got my car back and the window wouldn't roll down. I would give you no stars if possible.

Be very careful parking at Barrel 17... appearently the parking lot at Barrel 17 is right next to Lowes Auto and they will call Aristicat towing even if your not parked there after 8 p.m. Ended up paying nearly $300 for my meal and had to walk to retrieve my car. The no parking sign was faded and I missed it. Guessing this local will never visit this shop!
