Took car there, told me 3-4 weeks. 8 weeks later only half of what agreed to completed. Parts taken off car never returned. Tyler makes up excuses for everything. Have completely removed and re-doing 100% of everything they did. Complete waste of time and money. AVOID!!!

Had a great experience here. Tyler Sellers is a knowledgeable person and extremely honest as well. Had them install a set of Kooks headers, spark plugs and also had a dyno tune done to my Camaro SS. After I received my car back which I loved the way it sounded, I realized my AC was not working. I contacted Tyler about it (could of been during the install or it could have been something that had nothing to do with the install of the headers) but regardless, Tyler told me to take it to them the next time I was up there (I live 3 hrs away) which I did and without having an appointment they took care of it right on the spot. Can’t say enough about how well it feels to know you’re leaving your vehicle in good hands! Will definitely see you guys again sometime soon. Thanks for working with my schedule and distance to get everything done in a timely manner!!

Super fast and honest, very accommodating for drop off and pick up options. Performed all repairs to my vehicle and went the extra mile to ensure I would have long term reliability. I would highly recommend and will be a repeat customer as my needs arise.

Had them install solid bushings on the car…. Left there driving the car almost ran into a guard rail…car kept pulling left was no way in controlling it…I called Tyler back to tell him what the he car was doing…he claimed they test drove the car and everything was ok… never once said bring it back let us look it over I had to tow the car home…paid them over $1200 to install solid bushings and to perform a alignment…Car was in drivable lucky it didn’t kill me…the car rear cradle had several bushings not pressed in place…rear cradle was sitting in the car cocked…car still not drivable…No way it was a alignment performed or even test driven…

I was looking for a company that could handle a serious rebuild of the engine in my 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE, I was looking to solve some issues with the Whipple supercharger that was installed and needed help with getting it tuned correctly. After reading reviews and having called and spoke with Mario I got the warm and fuzzy and decided to do business with them. After VA Speed inspected the car, it was recommended that due to the block being damaged I needed to do a full engine rebuild. Full disclosure, at the time I was active-duty military and had just transferred from San Diego and was on my way to a temporary assignment out of state. I knew I wouldn’t be able to cross check or be physically available for all of the work that was to be done, but again felt comfortable and confident that Mario would be there and able to get the job done. I dropped the car off in late September of 2021. I explained my timeline that I would be out of the area for a few months with the agreed upon expectation that that would be enough time to get the work done. I gave them a point of contact in the area (my uncle) and my cell phone number, and was promised regular updates, photos and dyno sheets to which I never received (any of this). I called to check in with them consistently to get the status through my hectic training schedule and was told that Mario no longer worked there, and that Tyler would be handling my work order from there on out. Once again, I was promised to be kept updated; I received very few calls and every time I called, I was met with additional work that needed to be done and/or excuses for delays. I returned to Virginia in December and went into the shop to check on my car – after 3 months it wasn’t even close to being finished. I again spoke with Tyler and was promised that it would be done in a “couple weeks”. I told him as we rolled into the next year, I was getting ready for deployment (in March) and I needed the car to be completed before this time. I reached out to my uncle; he went to check on the car to check on things and told me that the car was not really being cared for as there was food and wrappers inside and it clearly was not ready for pick up. Four months later (August) my uncle was told the work had been completed and he could go pick up the car – twenty miles down the road the engine stalls and couldn’t be restarted. After calling and paying for a flatbed to be towed back to Virginia Speed. Met with more excuses and changing stories, the car is still not fixed at this point! Deployment came and went - still no emails or status updates on the car. When I returned from deployment in October, I had paid upfront 15K and after a year of VA Speed “working” on it, it still is not fixed. Finally in December after additional costs, I had enough and called Tyler to tell him “I’m done, I’m coming to get the car – have it ready”. I went to pick up the car –when I arrived the car was still on the dyno – I literally sat in the parking lot and watched him put the tune in the car. He apologized, we shook hands and I drove off. Once again 10 miles down the road the check engine light comes on, the power management comes on and the car stalls. I gave VA Speed every opportunity to fix my car and at every opportunity they failed. I later traded the car in and to my surprise received a call from Mario telling me that he had the car from the new owner at his shop and that he fixed the tune and fuel injectors, and that he was not surprised that I couldn’t even drive it. I later tried calling VA Speed to see if I could recoup some of my money and spoke directly to Douglas the owner and was told that it was up to me to prove that there was something wrong with the car and that he “tried really hard” to fix it. I am writing this review to save anyone who is considering using this company (let alone spending serious money) – not to! These guys are not professional, nor are they competent. Bottom line after over 15 months and now over $16k, my time was wasted, and my money spent! DON’T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I recently had my 99 camaro at Virginia Speed to have a freshly built motor installed and tuned along with a whole load of new parts. I cannot say enough about the service at quality of work. Tyler and the team were top notch in keeping me informed along the way and even helped me make minor upgrades with little to no additional costs. They got my motor breaking in nicely and I can't wait to go back for a final tune. Hit up Tyler for all of your LS needs.

I contacted VA speed about my 2017 super charger Flex fuel tundra. The tune was not taking and the truck was running at stock specks. I ordered parts from Pro speed for there upgrades on a new fuel rail system, fuel pump and smaller pulley And asked Virginia and Speed if they would like to install the parts for me. Keep in mind Va speed is only doing labor only on the install of the parts and the tune will be done remotely between the 2 companies. All I can say it that the professionalism from the mechanics at Virginia speed was outstanding. The communication with every step was spot on. I was notified and contacted throughout the whole process. I could not be any happier with the outcome with my truck. I would highly recommend VA Speed for any type of performance work on there vehicles. 5 stars are just not enough.

Had work done to my 2018 Silverado 5.3 last year and the work done at Virginia Speed is flawless. They did a Cam, torque converter, a tune, and a few other supporting modifications and even made great recommendations before, during and after the work was done. Turn around time on the work was 3 days saving me time and money in the process. No issues whatsoever with it, a year later truck is still great. I drove from Virginia to Long Island a few months ago, and had no issues on my trip. During the year I drove through all types of weather from freezing temps to 100+ degree temps and all is good. They answer any and all questions even after the work is done to set you on the right path. They exceed expectations, and dollar for dollar it’s worth it. If you’re going to get work done, especially on these newer Chevys, this is the place to go.

Never been as satisfied with a shop as I have with this one. Took my 89 corvette in that I just purchased in for a new exhaust and a tune up. They went above and beyond with the car. I could not have asked for better service. Not to mention if your military they offer military discount on parts. 10/10 would recommend

I brought in a vehicle, which is a 240sx that is LS swapped, that was bought from auction to get worked on at this shop and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Neither me nor the shop knew much about the car but it was brought in running extremely rough and with the serpentine belt constantly popping off. I spoke to multiple people there at the shop and they all are very knowledgable and left me knowing I was at the right place. They diagnosed the multiple issues the car had within a few days and managed to get in a new bracket, replace old worn parts, and tuned the vehicle within a couple weeks. They also looked over the vehicle and made sure the LS swap was done properly and everything functioned as it should. Im sure i wont have to be back anytime soon but if I ever needed to get anything done, this is the first place I’d go to

I have a 1984 Chevy Corvette and a 19 70 Nova SS Virginia speed has been excellent to my cars they treat me and my vehicles with dignity and respect Tyler is very knowledgeable from the inside out of vintage vehicles my Nova has totally been dismantled and put back together from engine to power steering and heating to Total electrical wiring starter alternator he's done it all and if anything breaks behind his warranty he warranties it back out you're not going to find a better person and or team that cares for your vintage car or hot rod and he makes sure that your vehicles are safely stored in his shop.. I appreciate his expertise his judgment and his care and his love for cars and knowledge.. out of a five star review I give him seven out of 10 I give them 12 a lot has to do with someone's personality too because he takes the time to talk to you and tells you your options and what's best for your vehicle year and make and what the ins and outs would be for the choices that you make in other words what the pros and cons could be I really like Tyler of Virginia speed and the crew is wonderful also they are a must try for your vehicle of performance

WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN I came here to get long tube headers and cams put in on my black 05 ford mustang gt. While there was a delay due to the headers not fitting properly and having to order another set that fit, when I finally got my car back, the first thing I noticed was the battery terminal wasn’t put back on the battery post right which cause my battery to die. Secondly, a check engine light came on as soon as I left the shop. Took it to AutoZone to get a diagnosis test and was told I had a bad o2 sensor. Took back to them and they fixed with no problem. Fast forward, my check engine light came on again. Took it to autozone once again and was told I had misfires in multiple cylinders. Again I took it back to them and they fixed the problem. My car was then put back on the dyno and I was promised to have the results emailed to me once everything was done. I never received anything so called to inform them. He took my email and said he would send it when he gets back to his deck. When I checked to see if he sent them, I didn’t receive one email. I’m highly disappointed will never come here again. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!!!

Since I am new to the area, I checked with a friend of mine for a place to get some work done on my 2013 Corvette Z06, who recommended Virginia Speed. I was just going to get the heads done to prevent the known problems with LS7s valves, but decided to go ahead and do H/C/I/ headers while the heads were being done anyway. I ended up talking to Tyler at Virginia Speed and immediately felt comfortable with his level of knowledge and expertise with what I wanted accomplished. After a few conversations, we decided on what we considered a good fit for my car. They were able to get the car in within a couple of weeks and then had it for a couple of weeks through no fault of their own. It was a parts ordering issue on the supplier’s end. I visited a few times while the car was being worked on and was impressed by how professionally the work was being done and how clean the build looked. August was the one turning the wrenches while Tyler continued to work with me on the finer details of the build. So far the car seems to be performing quite well with no issues. We have discussed perhaps a little fine tuning to get it just the way I want it but have yet to decide on what that may look like. I would definitely recommend Virginia Speed for a build like mine. It came in with ~ 440 RWHP and left with ~ 580 RWHP. They were easy to work with and I feel like I left with a nice, clean build. Thanks Guys!

Brought my 2010 6.2 Ford F-150 Raptor with a truck load of parts to include a Whipple Supercharger Kit post deployment. This location was able to do everything I asked and had great customer service and communication through the entire project and outside of having something they are unable to do for me even with the lengthy drive from my home I will not be going anywhere else.

I love cars, but I have very little time (and not enough knowledge) to work on them. Virginia Speed has worked on my 2014 and my 1965 Mustangs (both GT convertibles.) I've always appreciated their knowledge and great advice. Recently I decided to give my 2014 a bit of a "make over." I added a coil over suspension, upgraded the wheels and tires, lowered the car a bit, and added a high-performance brake kit. Tyler led me through the process and make great recommendations on the best parts to use, how much to lower it, and ensuring it would handle as good as it looks. The results were just incredible. It feels like a totally different car and the adjustable suspension will allow me to use it as a daily driver without sacrificing performance. I really appreciate having such a great shop in my neighborhood. Highly recommend everything they do!

New Update: Took the 1961 Impala to Tyler at Virginia Speed last week. I needed the A/C compressor replaced and to fix a brake line leak. It looked like the 5.7 LS1 motor would need to be raised about 8 inches to gain access to the bolts on the compressor. Tyler's team was able to snake the compressor in there without having to raise the motor. Not sure what kind of magic they used, but they got it done! I have total confidence in Tyler and his team and that's I will only take my car to them. I can't Recommend them enough, if you're looking to have some work done on your car, Virginia Speed is the place to go. Thank you again Virginia Speed! March 2022. I took my 1961 Chevy Impala with an LS1 to Virginia Speed for a Stage 1 Cam upgrade. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It runs awesome and these guys are true professionals. I'll definitely take my car here for any future upgrades. I highly recommend Virginia Speed to help you reach your performance goals!

The upcharge to do a basic spark plug and wire change is ridiculous! Over $500!!! The wiring just was beautifully done by leaving exposed connections and zip ties not even cut! Please if you love your car take it to someone who will love working on your car too!
