Brought my 1996 F350 4x4 in for a check engine light, and a random misfire. It needed to pass smog. Took a bit if time as there a number of small things that all contributed to the check engine light and the random misfire. Many shops won't even look at my truck, saying it is either too old or too big (22' bumper to bumper). They were able to get it to pass smog (they even took the truck to the smog shop) but then the stupid check engine light came back on. Steve is a miracle worker with some old school know how. That dang check engine light which has been mostly on since I've owned the truck (10 years) has been off for a week (a true miracle as before the longest it has stayed off was hours) I've been driving the truck on the highway, in town and just hauled 8k lb trailer up to Idyllwild. Steve and the guys were great about keeping me posted with updates. This truck is my baby, and I 💯 trust these guys to work on her.

Wow! What an amazing experience! The service was excellent and the customer service, even better! The AC was busted on my whip and other mechanics couldn't figure out the problem. I took my ride to Kenny and the gang and they were able to diagnose the problem before I made it home! Prices were the lowest around, but most importantly for me, the crew built my trust. I didn't feel like I was being up-sold or lied to. While the repair/fix wasn't cheap, I was able to walk away as a pleased customer. I found my forever shop/mechanic! A++++ experience!!

Called yesterday. They had me set up 9am next morning. Spoke with Clay and Kenny in the office who both had a lot of knowledge about cars. I was able to get a lot of lingering questions answered and they were quick and very fair pricing. There was even a 3rd party financing option available. There are a lot of mechanics around. I felt like Makestar genuinely wanted to help and make it as affordable as possible. Full diagnostic report with photos of everything inspected. We wont be going anywhere else.
