Nick was friendly, easy to communicate with, and offered the best price around. Great work on my car with a good warranty. I highly recommend Mason Brothers.

Had an appointment this morning. Waited for 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I gave up. The place was still locked up, and there was no one around. Wouldn't answer the phone. Good times.

Nick was very professional and super chill to work with. My Subaru engine light came on, and he went through the codes and possible problems one by one and we were able to clear the problem! His also very efficient and affordable, highly recommended!

Highly recommend going to Mason Brothers Automotive. Nick faced many challenges with our vehicle but still was able to fix the problem quickly and professionally. His quoted pricing was exact as well as timing for completion of the job. He communicated well and was transparent about the whole job. He had a great attitude the whole time communicating with him.

Nick really hooked us up. We have a very complicated European vehicle. He knew exactly the issue when others could not figure it out. Great customer service, honest, reliable and affordable. 5 stars for this awesome family business

We had Nick change the oil and check other filters etc. on our jeep. While doing that service, he discovered a leak in our AC unit. Nick changed it out, but we ended up had an issue with the new unit. Called Nick and he had us come back the next day and he swapped it out for another new unit. All works well now. Nick is professional and cares about his clients. We fully recommend using Mason Brothers!

I was visiting from the Phoenix area, and had recently had an oil change on my vehicle. It was leaking a little oil, and I needed someone to take a look and see if there was an issue. Nick looked the car over, and one of the gaskets was loose. He tightened it, and there was no more leaking. He didn't even charge me anything. As a woman it's always daunting to have car issues, because we often get taken advantage of. Nice to see that there are honest and good mechanics that exist that don't take advantage of women.

I got both my Tacoma and my wife’s rav4 oil changed there without any issues for a great price! I’m on the other side of town and I’ll still return next time!

My car randomly started shaking really bad yesterday. I called him @8:45am, he told me to stop by so he could look at it. I made it to the shop at 10:30am. He diagnosed it quickly and had my car fixed by 5pm the same day. Very nice and friendly guy. 10/10 experience. He replaced all 4 spark plugs and put on a valve cover gasket. The price was reasonable and fair. Saved me tons of stress and headache. He gets everyone in and out in a reasonable time.

Came here today around 1-2pm, needed just my rotors changed and brake fluid flushed. I had the parts I just didn’t have the tools to take the stripped screws out for the rotors, first went to brake masters and quoted me $600+ JUST for the front brakes , did my research and came across mason bros. Auto, got a quote instantly from nick ( cool dude) of $275. Highly recommend , fair pricing and not trying to upsell you. If you need help like I did , don’t waste your time and money at those “big” companies , talk to nick, reasonable guy. Definitely coming back. 👍🏽

Nick was wonderful. He didn't try to upsell me, took the time to listen to me, to go for a drive to hear the noise I described and didn't even charge me to refill the steering power fluid. If you're looking for a flashy place with donuts, coffee and ridiculous prices, go elsewhere. If you just want an honest, competent mechanic, you've come to the right place.

Had the shocks and struts replaced from here a couple of weeks ago, and my car has been running great ever since. I'm from Phoenix, but at the recommendation of a family member, I made the trip down to get my car worked on and saved $300+. Very happy with the quality of work that was done and the price that I paid. Will be continuing to drive down for my car's future repair needs, and recommending to all of my family and friends.

I had the great opportunity to have my car repair at MasonBrothers Automotive. The service was the best service I ever had. My car issue was a major repair which I was about to trade-in. When I contacted Mason Brothers Automotive, I was very skeptical. Our phone communication reassure me I was dealing with a professional, someone who knows the job. I just trust him, and he accomplished the best work ever. I truly encourage and recommend Mason Brothers Automotive for any car repair. You will never regret it and will make him your prefer car repair in Tucson, as I just did. I truly found the reliable and honest mechanic I can count on. Thank you so much of repairing my car. I greatly appreciate your service and help. You are the BEST EVER.Thank you!!.

Great work. Fair prices, and completed work when he said he would. Got my car towed there at night for a flat fee, the driver easily loaded my car that has low ground clearance (less worry for lowered cars!), then Nick changed out the starter the next day. I would recommend Mason Brothers Automotive for when you're having car troubles👍

I would like to go back to PeNeLoPe Santino's review about my car (Subaru wrx). He did replace the turbo; however, it did take Nicholas mason NeArLy two months to do so, all the while my Calls, Texts, and voicemails were all dodged like dude was insanely popular and had no time for my questions. UPDATE: my turbo worked for a couple of days and then immediately started spinning with absolutely no boost. I have to now go through to someone else to check for boost leaks, correct sealing, and possibly a MAP sensor.

I needed motor mounts and my A/C fixed, Nick gave me a great price and was above board about everything. My car needs more routine maintenance done on it soon, so I plan on bringing more work to him since he did an excellent job, within the time span he quoted, and for the price we agreed on (without any surprise charges). Nick also did not try to sell me on work that I do not need, and was totally willing to show me any issues he came across. The issues he pointed out were issues that I already knew about before bringing the car to him. It's great to find an honest mechanic who is able to fit my repairs into his schedule, and not charge me an arm and a leg.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! My son took his car to this guy for repairs. At first, the guy said it would take him about a week. That week turned into almost two months, the entire time he largely ignored our requests for updates, and complained about having to provide updates when he finally did. We had also supplied the part to be installed, which this guy claimed was broken. When I tried to make contact with him about the part, which had a warranty and needed to be returned, he ignored my call, and never reached back out. Each goal post he set for my son's car to be finished got pushed out. If you want to be dicked around for months, go to this guy. He doesn't know what he's doing, and doesn't grasp the most simple concept of maintaining communication with the property owner. In addition to removing all the tires from the car without permission, he also did not complete the repairs. We have to take the car to another shop. FYI - you can see my son's car on the lift in Corey Laurence's review. Update: Bottom line - there was NO communication about what was causing the delay. You could have told my son what was up, and he would have bugged you less. You can't fault someone for trying to get information about their car. Even your response shows how little you care about wasting other people's time. Still blaming us. More than 5 calls a day from three different numbers? I'd like to see that. I'll be uploading the series of text messages that you ignored. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!

Nick is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He did an oil change for me in December and was able to point out some issues that needed to be taken care of. I went back yesterday to have my axle repaired which he fixed without any trouble. The price was very reasonable and I look forward to having him take care of my SUV in the future

Usually leave good reviews but Nick disappeared on me the day of our appointment which was supposed to be a serpentine belt replacement. This was urgent and Nick informed me he was unable to do same day service which was why I scheduled next day 3:30 beware he will go ghost and leave you hanging without courtesy of rescheduling.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Mason Brothers Automotive (owner Nick) has been so dishonest and damaging that I feel I need to warn others. Since December 2024, I have paid Nick close to $2,500 for various repairs. Most payments were by debit card, but on July 8, 2025 I paid $620 in cash for what he told me was a new alternator and battery upfront . By July 10, 2025, my car was back at his shop because it wouldn’t start, the belt system was making noises, there was a burning smell, and the car wouldn’t accelerate. He kept my car for over 43 days . Problems started earlier when I first brought my car in for a serpentine belt. He installed it wrong, the belt slipped off, and I had to have the car towed to his shop . He then replaced the belt, tensioner, and pulley system, but let me drive away with no power steering. When I immediately came back, he admitted he knew there was no power steering when he drove it, and told me “you don’t need power steering to drive.” He then said I needed a new pump, which he also charged me for. Coming to my biggest reason for this review , wait for it it's The worst part Mu battery had a burned hole in it from being overcharged because I thought I needs a new alternator . I mentioned my suspicion of what service my car needed Nick confirmed I needed a new alternator and battery he replaced both . 2 days later my car would not start . He said i must have left a light on and drained the battery . My car at this point making a horrible noise that it was not making before and was struggling to run. I also mentioned i saw pieces of a belt in the tensioner / pulleys . not sure if these belt chunks are from the first serpentine belt work or the second time . But he said " he would get to it when he could he had other customers ahead of me and was out of town long story short 43 days later I requested the keys to my car back . Immediately I brought my car to 2 other mechanics to just look at and was told my bearings are going out and the alternator was not new looking and my tensioner and whatever was stuck in it needed fixed . I confronted Nick about the alternator appearance and he then told me it was "refurbished and they sometimes look older " I sent him multiple messages and even a written demand letter asking him to either fix the work properly or issue me a refund. I gave him chances to do the right thing, but he has refused to return my calls, refuses to refund even a penny and then tried to advise me to not complain or leave a bad review or persue further action like small claims court because of supposid "drug paraphernalia " he found in my car ..... Because of his actions, I now have a car that still does not run, debt from a title loan I took out to pay for these repairs, and major personal hardship. My children have missed school and doctor’s appointments, and I’ve had to take 10 buses a day just to manage basic life needs. This business is dishonest, unethical, and unprofessional. If you value your money, your time, and your safety, avoid Mason Brothers Automotive at all costs.
