They continued working w me through a separate issue and only showed me respect and kindness. I felt human. So my previous review doesn't do them the full justice of my experience.

I went to over 5 places get my license plate bulb changed and nobody could help me, I finally just took a chance and stopped at Matthews they were about 10 minutes from closing so I didn't think they would be able to but they did. For the life of me I am trying to remember the names of the woman at the register and the pro that changed my bulb but I cannot, but HUGE shout out to them for staying that extra 20 minutes and letting me and my crazy friend and 3 boys come in from the cold while waiting. You 2 are awesome

We have been to this place twice now and both times we were disappointed . They don’t call you to let you know what exactly they are going to do before doing it . One time I told them about my alignment and how the car dealership said they couldn’t do it . I specifically asked the worker helping me if they will call me to see if it something they would be able to do or not . I was also getting all new tires that day . The worker told me they would and the only time they called was when my car was finished . They did all new tires and the alignment . What if I didn’t have the money? That is specifically why I asked for a phone call first . The SECOND time we came here we had a flat tire . The base speaker is where the spare tire should be . So since we had the spare tire on the base speaker had to be in the back seat so it didn’t break . We told Matthew’s tires that we had that and needed them to put that back after they fix our tire and put the spare tire back in the trunk. We even had someone walk out to our car to show them what we were talking about . They told us they would do it. Later that day when we went to get our car they didn’t even have the courtesy of fixing the trunk after putting the spare tire in . ALSO they didn’t even put the base speaker back it was still sitting in the back seat . We didn’t realize till we got home because I heard a ton of clinking in the trunk and then I didn’t realize the base speaker wasn’t in until the next day I put my daughter in her car seat . I looked at the paperwork they gave us and it even says in the notes to put the base speaker back . Gave this place 2 times and both times they disappoint .

Pulled in with a tire going flat. What a relief I made to a Goodyear outlet. Well, not that great. I understand they had appointments lined up and customers to serve. All asked was help to install the spare. Maybe they could help before close…maybe not. We chose to call our insurance road side service. They came and got it done quick. Then told us to come to their shop to fix the tire and install. Mr Tire was fantastic. Some of the staff at Mathew were extremely helpful coming out to fill the tire so I could get it off Mathew’s property. So much thanks to them. As for the service manager, liability was his key word and though promoted wanting to help, not so much. Thanks Mr Tire of Appleton !

I have been bringing my SUV here for the past 4 years since I moved to the fox valley area. I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with other shops in the past so I’m always extra cautious. In the past 4 years I have never felt pressured into buying a service that wasn’t necessary and have always felt like I could 100% trust that they weren’t leading me astray when I’ve had things go awry with my vehicle. They have fit me into the schedule multiple times at the last minute when I had an emergent issue come up. Last week Thursday my check engine light started flashing, the whole vehicle started shaking and I couldn’t accelerate. I got my vehicle to Matthews right away and told them I just wanted to leave it there until they had a chance to look at it. They didn’t think they would have time to look at it until at least the following Monday. One of the gentleman at the front counter even gave me a ride home. I got a call Friday morning that they had diagnosed the issue, they gave me a quote, and were able to get it fixed for me by the end of the day. This place is absolutely awesome and they really take care of their customers. I will always recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good mechanic. Thanks Matthews Tire Menasha for putting me at ease and getting me back on the road so quickly!

I dropped off my vehicle and told them that I thought the battery was going and needed to be replaced. On a positive note, I was very happy with how quickly they got me in. I was happy to hear that indeed it just needed a new battery. However, I was not so happy when I picked it up and found out that I was charged $75 + tax for an electrical system check. Maybe they just wanted to be thorough, but in my mind if I tell them I think the battery needs to be replaced, wouldn't they just check the battery and if it's bad replace it? Why not ask me if I want to pay an extra $79 for an electrical system check? I can tell you I would have passed on the system check. Lesson learned.

I didn’t have an appointment but my tire was flat and I needed to get it filled before leaving town, and they graciously let me take it in and it was finished within a couple hours. They let me know what they were doing and were transparent about prices. Most importantly, they were friendly and inviting, good staff.
