Update Feb 28, 2026: I previously left a review on Nov 20, 2025, noting that Mark was absolutely stellar, super professional, and easy to talk to for my 30k mile service. I couldn’t have been happier with how that went. However, my most recent visit for a battery issue was a different experience. I paid $350 for a new battery and left with the underlying problem still undiagnosed. Before my appointment I measured the battery voltage dropping from 12.4V when I got home from work to 11.9V the following morning, about half a volt overnight with no loads left on. That is a common sign of parasitic drain. This was also the original battery from when I bought the car in October 2021, and the dealership’s own multi-point inspection three months earlier reported no issues with it. This was not an old battery I had ignored. It was one they had recently inspected and signed off on. Despite that, the service department attributed the issue to my driving habits and did not test for parasitic drain, which is a basic diagnostic step for exactly this type of complaint. Instead they replaced the battery. I also asked about a firmware update for the Telematics Communication Unit (TCU) that I believed might be relevant. The advisor told me there were no applicable service bulletins. After the visit I confirmed that the TCU firmware was never updated. The invoice also does not document any of the software work they verbally said they performed. There are no module names, version numbers, or details of any updates. Washington law requires repair shops to document work performed on the invoice. They also charged $20 to dispose of the old battery, even though used batteries have recycling value and are typically resold or credited by shops. I chose the dealership instead of simply buying a Costco battery and installing it myself because I wanted proper diagnostics and manufacturer expertise. Instead I received a new battery and an explanation that the problem was my driving habits, without the diagnostic testing that would normally confirm or rule out a parasitic drain. If the battery was truly the only issue, that is fine. But determining that through proper diagnostics is exactly what I expected when bringing the car to a Mazda dealership.

This was a first for me... I was refused service after saying to an employee “that’s a lie, man” in a nonchalant way — no raised voice, no pointing fingers, no hostility. I immediately followed up with "let me take that back, I shouldn’t say that.” and we continued our conversation I didn’t think much of it but shortly after the assistant manager came out and said, “Did you call him a liar? We’re refusing service.” Very surprised by how quickly that situation escalated, especially given that I immediately corrected myself and the interaction was super calm overall. Manger didn't even ask for my point of view to understand the context. Good on them for sticking up for their employees but this situation was poorly handled. Refusing service over that felt disproportionate and unprofessional.

I really appreciate the people at this dealership. They are very professional and provide exactly what I’m looking for when I’m bringing my 2020 CX-5 in for service. I’ll admit that the prices are high, but that’s pretty common for dealerships. You are also paying for the professionalism, which they absolutely have. Whenever I get the service, they also provide an inspection and video of the findings that I can review when I am ready. It really helps me feel like I’m not being scammed and I am part of the process.

I had a leaky tire recently and went to the dealership instead of a local tire specialist to have it repaired. Ryan was able to fit me in the same day, and thank goodness bc it turns out there was a HUGE nail in the tire! I was shocked but Ryan and the service professionals were able to handle it within a couple hours. I did end up needing a new tire instead of a patch, but Ryan explained to me exactly why that was (the position of the nail on the tread made it more dangerous to patch) and the video the service professionals shared with me of my tire showed that clearly. I was so grateful to have it taken care of for less than they quoted me and be able to drive off the lot before going to a rave that night!

Great experience at the Mazda service center. After diagnosis, they found wires to the purge valve and fuel temp and pressure sensor had been chewed off. Alvin was very patient, explained everything clearly, and answered all my questions. He accommodated my car quickly, provided a loaner, and showed me the repairs too before I left. Kudos to Alvin!

I have been working with Raymond Chow for the past 3 years. He is by far the best service advisor I have ever encountered at a Dealership Service Center. He takes care of everything, from start to finish. I would recommend this service center to anyone.

Great product and good service. I’ve never enjoyed the experience of purchasing a car. The folks at Lee Johnson Mazda made it about as painless as possible. Aside from the obligatory upselling that all dealerships practice, there was no pressure. All questions were answered and we were made to feel very comfortable with our purchase. Overall, great experience and we love our new CX 50.

This was a 5-star service experience, and the first service appointment for my new vehicle. Checking in for the service was easy. Mark, the service representative was very friendly, informative and professional. I was greeted when I entered the building. Mark asked if I had any questions or concerns about my vehicle. I was told where I could wait while the service was conducted, and how long it would take. Simply put, great service. Everything worked out perfectly. Lastly, the location of the service center is very convenient.

Service dept is dishonest and inept. Was told I would get a rebate on tires only to find out later I was only getting it I applied and used special credit card. This was not disclosed. Brought my car in three different times for the same issue, it was never addressed, but unnecessary part replacements were suggested. Got those and it didn't fix anything.. thru complain sinned about 'non Mazda' plays, but my replacement parts lasted longer and we're BETTER then the originals, hate itwhen dealerships claim any else isn't as good. Dishonest, stay away!

I had my oil changed at Mazda today, and the service was absolutely excellent! Josh was very professional and thorough, letting me know that my brakes will need a flush and my belts are showing some wear—both things for the far future, but I appreciated the heads-up. What really stood out was the care and transparency: they even sent me a detailed video of the service so I could see exactly what was done. I felt completely informed and confident in the work. Highly recommend this team!

My recent service appointment at Mazda Seattle - Lee Johnson was exceptional from start to finish. The team greeted me warmly upon arrival. Raymond, the service agent, stood out for his professionalism and transparency, thoroughly walking me through the required service, costs, and timing. The best part was receiving a video from him while I was at work—it showed the technician performing the service and giving a clear explanation of my car's condition. This modern touch was incredibly reassuring. I picked up my car at the promised time, and it was in perfect order. As always, their service is top-tier!

We purchased a used Mazda from a Honda dealer and brought it here for service after the battery died the very next day after we brought it home. I called and they got us right in. They ran a complete diagnostic on the car and electrical system. It identified a fault in the battery. Alvin our service agent was great to work with and got us back on the road quickly. It was reasonable and fast. Great experience!

Great customer service from the service team at Lee Johnson Mazda. Ryan was very professional, made me feel comfortable, and explained the work clearly. I especially loved the video inspection and the easy mobile approval for a filter replacement. One quick note for improvement: my email calendar invite pointed to the Sales Center address rather than the Service Center. When I arrived at Sales, the staff there were unfortunately a bit rude and a total contrast to the helpful team in Service. However, once I got to the right spot, the experience was excellent!

I have received excellent service from both the service and sales department. The service department did a great job fixing my old 2006 Mazda 3, but it still needs some more work done on it. The most urgent part which was the water valve pump I believe had to be replaced immediately. They were also very patient with me as well, since the car has been with them for a couple of weeks. For the sales department, I’m happy with my new but used 2020 Kia Optima. I’m already in love with that car. For a base model it sure comes with a lot of great features. Feels more like a mid tier level to me. I had Roman helped me find a vehicle, and he did a great job. I probably didn’t ask as many questions as I should’ve asked. Literally my first time buying a car. The others were great as well and I apologize, I’m horrible with remembering peoples’ names. All in all, service is great and they were very helpful, honest and patient with me.

You won't be disappointed.
