I found the mechanic shop I'll be going to for as long as I have my car: Affordable Brake and Tire. They truly proved their commitment to their customers and the quality of their work. A few months ago, they changed my oil and transmission fluid, but something didn't feel right with my Nissan afterward. After a diagnostic check, I was informed that I had a transmission issue, and with less than 42,000 miles on my car, I was devastated. This happed during the holidays... I called Nissan America and they advised me to tow my car to a Nissan dealership, where I was told I needed a valve replacement, but because the wrong transmission fluid was used, my entire transmission needed replacement—something Nissan wouldn’t cover. A new transmission would cost me upwards of 6 thousand dollars...I notified Affordable immediately with the news. Affordable Brake towed my car back to their shop, inspected it thoroughly, topped off the transmission fluid, and drove it around to ensure everything was safe. When I went to pick my car up, the mechanic spent almost an hour discussing my car with me, reassuring me that it was safe for me to drive my elderly mother and children. I appreciated how he refused to speak ill of the dealership, instead focusing on their work and commitment to customer education. It’s been a week since I picked up my car, and I’ve taken my mother to her medical appointments and let my daughters drive my car. It’s running smoother than it has in months, contrary to the dealership's claims. All it needed was a simple top-off of the transmission fluid. Amazing but all true. I’ve found an honest, skilled shop that listens to its customers, and I give five stars to the staff of Affordable Brake and Tire for their dedication to making things right.

I got a flat tire over the weekend and called this place for the first time. Upon arrival very kind employee had taken all the info and my car keys. They were able to repair the flat tire and add air to all tires. My car sensors were able to show me the accurate psi per tire. Great service, paid $42 including tax.

AVOID THIS SHOP I had a nail in my tire tread the second week of December. I took it to this shop on a Saturday. They asked for 2 hours to get it fixed, which seemed long, but was not too big of a deal. When I went back to get it they tried to sell me new brakes. I declined. They then charged me $45 for a tire patch, which is about 4x more than I've ever heard of before. My suspicion is that they are subsidizing their "car review" by overcharging for simple things like a tire patch. All of that is just probably standard stuff for a disreputable tire shop, but, in this case, on Christmas Day we were driving on the highway going out to North Bend from Seattle. No cars were near us. The back right tire (the one they worked on) blew out the side wall while we were going 70 on the highway. We stopped and put on the spare and then I had to buy a new tire the following week (from a different store). I called the shop to tell them that the 9 month old tire they repaired (that had maybe 4,000 miles on it) had blown out 2 weeks later. They then proceeded to give me the run-around for a few weeks. It started with saying to call back in a week when someone else would be there. When I did that, the person told me to come to the shop the next day. When I did that, the person at the shop told me, oh, he shouldn't have told you that but if you come back next week someone can help you. These guys are shady shady shady. Do not trust them. I will never return.

Paid for an oil change, but got my car back with no oil. Coolant was empty. Brand new battery somehow drained. Fuse box lid with map is gone. Lids and tops weren’t put back. Second opinion technicians diagnosed that their work (‘done at point s’)is in question. Questioning if the rest of the work I paid for was actually done now after an honest tech looked at it and showed me everything/explained everything. Not to mention the screws of my covers were missing. It is frustrating paying thousands to get my car back with details missing. So on top of paying for work to be done I also have to pay to fix things they didn’t put back to keep the car nicely in one piece. Disrespectful shop. I highly recommend going somewhere more transparent honest and respectful. The men here seem to think they are well above women. One of those shops.

This is my go-to auto repair shop. I’ve had to bring my car here for several tire related issues and each time, they diagnose the problem and send me on my way within a day. The drop-in hours of 8-11 AM are especially helpful for quick jobs. The mechanics have proven to be skilled, friendly, and trustworthy. Finding a good mechanic was a big stressor when I first moved to Seattle. Since finding this place, I’ve never had to worry.

This place is a scam! They replaced my brake rotors and the brakes immediately started squealing. I took it to another shop that said I had been given old rotors that needed to be replaced again. I told Affordable Tire and Brake to give them a chance to fix it and because it was under warranty. Then all they did was put the brake pads back on backwards and refused to replace the fraudulent used rotors. I spoke with another patron in the shop one time who was experiencing a similar scam. Don’t go here! It’s not even cheaper than other shops.

This is the worst auto shop ever. They will literally rob you and call and tell there's something else wrong just to get more money. After they fixed the first issue they said it would cost another 1000 dollars just to get the car running right. I ended up going to bud and company up the street and they fixed the problem for 400.00 dollars. They are not honest mechanics and they should really be shut down! I didn't even want to leave one star but had to. STAY AWAY FROM AFFORDABLE TIRES!

Used to think they were honest, but got my 02' chevy astro tuned up for initial quote of 1800, but brought "the price down" to 1600 when I barely started asking questions why its so expensive. Still overpriced for the service. In fact, pretty sure i got ripped off. If you're a woman, bring a man with you. My check engine light still came back on few months later. I'm so busy, I really dont have the time, money, or energy to deal with them again. I'm going up the street next time, where i originally wanted to go but they were busy.
