Every employee that helped me had excellent customer service skills and they kept me informed on the progress of the repair throughout. Cannot recommend. Dropped off my vehicle for a cosmetic repair (that was covered by insurance who admitted full liability). More than two weeks later I received a call from Peyton who claimed that the repair could no longer happen (and had not in fact been started) because the insurer refused the repair cost. Confused, I followed up with the insurer who stated that was not the case, but the insurer told me that Gerber Collision & Glass had tried to write-off my car twice despite the insurer wanting to pay for the repair at whatever cost. However, since Gerber Collision & Glass had done no work in two weeks+, the insurer suggested I take my car somewhere else because after also speaking to Peyton directly they were similarly surprised by her lies and lack of professionalism. When I went to pick-up my vehicle, there was no apology or explanation. Truly confusing experience. What a waste of time. I took my car to another repair shop (that has much better communication skills and is actually professional!) - and the repair cost came in $2000 less than what Gerber estimated.

Avoid this location - I’ve had positive experiences with Gerber Collision in the past, but unfortunately this location (2113 E Olive St, Seattle, WA 98122) fell short. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and unprofessional both on the phone and in person. It’s disappointing because the estimator I worked with here was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Based on this experience, I’ll be taking my business to another location where the customer service matches the quality of the repair work.

Helpful, friendly and fast! This is a well overdue review, but I have to pay the highest compliments to the Olive Street team at Gerber. After an embarrassing mishap between me and a parking garage, I brought my black car with new white custom stripes to the team. The team was highly accommodating, and was able to quickly turnaround a solution. The team was friendly and helpful, and completely non judgemental about my silly mistake! Thank you so much Olive street team, you turned a bad situation into a completely manageable one. Though I hope I don't have to return soon, I will happily know that my car would be left in capable hands!

I had a very frustrating experience with my car repair. Peyton, the estimator, had initially told me my car would be ready by January 3rd. However, just two hours before I was supposed to pick it up, she called to inform me that the last part needed to be painted because it came in unpainted. She assured me that it would be ready by Monday morning after the paint had dried over the weekend. When I called Monday morning for an update, Peyton said she would check on the status. Two hours later, she called back to say there was another broken part, which also arrived unpainted, meaning it had to be painted as well. This was incredibly frustrating, as she had previously assured me there was only one part left to fix. To make matters worse, she mentioned that they were "trying their best" to finish the car that day, but it might not be ready until the next day. She also mentioned that "we have more cars than we're supposed to have in the shop," implying that the delays were somehow my fault due to their overbooking. Overall, the lack of communication and multiple delays have been extremely disappointing. I’d also like to add that Peyton called me Tuesday morning, four days after the job was supposed to be finished. She told me my vehicle was done and was being cleaned, and that it would be ready for pick-up around 12pm. I explained to Peyton that I couldn’t pick it up because I’d be at work, but my husband would be there at 3pm. When my husband arrived and payed the deductible, he went to our car and found out that a part was still missing and hadn't been installed, so he had to wait for it to be put on. This has been the worst experience ever!

Our car was side-swiped while parked in a parking garage. The necessary repairs included replacing the driver’s side door panel, side view mirror and repairs to other portions of the left (driver’s) side of the car body (fixing small dents, repainting, eliminating scratches). The team at Gerber’s location at 2113 E. Olive St., Seattle was excellent from start to finish: efficient, work done well, spot on continuous communications about their progress with repairs, and almost on time return of our car. One small mishap (and I mean small) resulted in a one day delay in getting our car back. James, our service consultant—friendly. Kind and very communicative—explained everything, and it wasn’t a problem for us. All in all, we highly recommend Gerber for body work repairs. For us, it was a seamless process.

Though Gerber could have taken us for a ride on repairs and collected the insurance money, they instead used a solution to remove paint that came from the other car and showed me we could avoid the whole thing (and deductible) for free. Where to begin… 1 star is too many. I’ll just touch on the big ones. Transmission is slipping and clunking loud, window from drivers side where they did work is not consistently working, I was charged for a new tire and rim but didn’t receive either. In fact, I think it may have looked slightly better in the top before picture! The paint is not the same color and when addressed they said the material was different so that’s normal. But why is the material different? It feels like cheap plastic garbage. The paint is also bubbling and coming off in places. I was charged for a new sr5 sign for the back door… where is it? There isn’t even one on there! There is a charge for a clear coat painted job to the roof also… but look how dirty it is! How did they paint that? Did they clear coat all this dirt too it? Supposedly it was in the wash bay before pickup! The roof wasn’t even damaged so I’m not sure what they were even doing up there. So many things. The trim pieces don’t line up with the others and are not attached tightly with gaps. I’m easy going… this is tragic. Another body shop will be fixing what they did and now I will be without a car for even longer!
