Stay away from this place. Poorly organized and RUDE estimators. I booked an early appointment with an individual on the phone and was told there would be no problem. This is a fleet vehicle so an employee arrived onsite only to approach by a disgruntled estimator who was unaware of our appointment. He took a look at the vehicle and then said that he would make an estimate if he got around to it. Called him up later to see what he thought of the vehicle. The estimator let me know that since we already received a check from our insurance company he wasn't interested in giving us a quote unless he was doing the work. Told me it was pointless for him to even put one together and said that if he did quotes for every car that came in he wouldn't get any work done. Said he didn't want to deal with someone just bringing vehicles to different body shops for quotes. HOW ARROGANT! Simply assuming one is price shopping isn't the right way to secure business. When I told him I am a mid-sized business and not looking to price shop just looking to looking to just get the repairs done he said he would fax me something when he got around to it. This used to be a reputable place I would bring all my personal vehicles but the attitude of this estimator has changed that for good. STAY AWAY. They obviously don’t need any business.

We can't say enough great things about McDowell's! Dave and the staff were great to deal with, and the job they did was awesome. If you're looking for honest and personal service the way it "used to be" and want the auto bodywork you need to be done right, go to McDowell's.

Such amazing service!! Replaced bumper looks great! Fought with Geico to make sure I got the repairs I needed covered! They had my car for a while while waiting for Geico to show up and write a new claim. While my car was the there, they emptied my car of everything and cleaned it inside and out!! Then they returned everything back in a neat and organized way! Could not have asked for better service!!

A friend used this company for his Audi Q5 & said they did a great job, so I called them for a quote on my daughters 2015 VW Jetta, she hit a dear in December, a new hood & fender have been installed as damage was minor. The bumper has been sanded and filled as there were a few scratches. I called them with a description but they told me to bring it in & were about 2 to 3 weeks out, so they could quote it properly, which I did, only to be told they were 6 weeks out and not particularly interested. Why not tell me this on the phone, I wasted a trip into Manchester, very frustrating. I am sure they do good work but I guess I will never find out.

I had a some damage to my car today from a piece of ice that was about the size of a large rock that was flung from a truck on Rt 101. I was stopped by Mc Dowell's and they fixed my car. I have some experience with auto body shops and I must say that I was never treated so professional and feeling as comfortable with their expertise as I did today. I would recommend Mc Dowell's in a heart beat!! Thank you so much Mc Dowell's!

McDowell's Auto Body is the best and only place to have your car repaired! I am a resident of Manchester since 1985 and have had a few mishaps over the years along with my family of four. Each an every time we needed a repair we were welcomed and treated very fairly. Dave who typically does the estimates, scheduling, and whatever else the owner Jimmy asks of him is a true professional. He explains the process, helps deal with insurance companies and gets back to his customers in a timely manner. Both Jimmy and Dave make sure that your vehicle is repaired to the highest standards making it impossible to see any evidence of the repair. Your vehicle is returned clean inside and out which ices the cake. Jimmy runs a great shop and makes sure that you are happy with his work. I can't recommend McDowell's Auto Body enough and will continue to work with them in the future!

This is a great body shop. Extremely honest and trust worthy. I have had them repair my car several times. I moved from New Hampshire to Connecticut, however, if there is ever an issue with my vehicle, I still drive 3 hours for them to take care of it. If you are interested in getting your car repaired and not just shopping estimates, this is absolutely the place to go. I only drive high end vehicles and this is the only place I trust to repair them.

This place is the best in the business! Brought my car here after sliding into a tree leaving a big dent and chipping off big junks of paint. They fixed my car better than new. You could never tell it was in an accident. They did an amazing job matching paint and fixing the dent. The employees are very informative and pleasant to speak with. When I went to pick up my car they went above and beyond for me. I found my car had been washed, waxed, vacuumed, been interiored wiped cleaned, gas tank topped off, and air in my tires. They truly are the best out there. I will only ever go back to them for future needs

McDowell's is just amazing. My first experience here was in 1993 when I was 18 years old and at that time had my 1st accident (not my fault) and I was clueless about automotive auto body & collision repair. I was introduced to Jimmy at that time who's the owner of the shop and I would of never guessed at that time would turn into a friend and someone I'd give not only my future business but countless friends and family through out the next 30 years. After this huge intro I'll try to keep the rest simple... if u want your car repaired properly and have a team on your side that will fight tooth & nail with the insurance companies to make sure your car is fixed properly the 1st time without corners being cut.... this is what u can expect from Jimmy & his team at McDowell's. I guarantee u from start to finish u won't get a better experience and quality repair than here. Anyone that's had car collision repairs done here will tell u the same thing and will only trust their car to be worked on here and here only. Place is great. I originally went to one of their competitors and the owner threw a fit about me asking questions then refused to work on the car, having me come pick it up, because I had plastic film over the damaged fender. The staff at Mc Dowells were the exact opposite. All staff professional and welcoming. Had no problem getting someone to handle a film reinstall after her fender was replaced. Fought with insurance company about 3rd party supplier fender. Did great work and communicated with rental car company.
