I was working on an air suspension project on my car and ran into a frustrating issue trying to remove a retaining bolt. After two days of trying everything I could think of, I finally gave in and reached out to MD Automotive, a local Austin mobile mechanic. Although they typically only service South Austin and I’m located in Manor, they were kind enough to make an exception—and I was ecstatic to hear that. Ryan kept great communication throughout, showed up on time, and was incredibly skilled. What took me two days to struggle with, he handled in just 10 minutes. While he was here, he also took a quick look at a fluid leak on one of my other vehicles and even gave me some great recommendations on pro tools I should consider if I plan on continuing to work on my cars. Highly recommend MD Automotive if you’re looking for honest, efficient, and skilled mobile mechanic service in Austin.

Ryan is awesome. He came to my house, I gave him my keys, went back inside, and 25 mins later he texted me that my brake pads were replaced. Amazing. I even told him the wrong axle needed replacing, and he caught my mistake and was prepared with the correct parts. Great experience with Ryan - had (what we thought) was an issue with the starter on my Toyota Tundra. I’m one to say what I need to say especially when customer service is terrible. In this case, man, they were 1st class all the way. We have our daughter in Austin and we live in Brownsville. Called them and set up a time and day to go and see the car. They were prompt and professional! Took care of the problem that same day! Great communication! I totally recommend MD Mobile Mechanics/MD Automotive. After calling a bunch of shops, we felt good about going with these guys, and we're super glad we did. They kept us in the loop before our appointment, let us know when they were on their way, and fixed our car issues while we were chilling at home. We thought it'd cost more, but he was cool enough to tell us one part didn't need replacing, which saved us some cash. One of the best automotive companies I’ve ever worked with. Not only was it extremely convenient, but they answered my request for service, called me, arrived and finished the job all within the same 5 hour span on a Friday. Of course, you will pay a bit extra since it’s mobile. With that said, the guy who came out and worked on my car proactively told me of the pricing multiple times before ever doing the work, and even gave me cheaper, alternative options that I could do if I was willing to sacrifice some convenience. This is exactly the type of mechanics you want to work with. I will be using them for all of my future car problems!

10/10 recommend!! Sorry if this is a double post, but it didn’t look like my last review went through. Anyway; very quick, great customer service, great price and just an honest, diligent mechanic. Got my starter replaced in my Toyota Yaris, and will continue to use their services for any automotive needs in the future! Ryan showed up early for me today as well so that I could get to class on time. Great experience overall! No tow fees this way, and they won’t gouge you on the parts or labor. Like I said, very happy with my experience and I’m not one to usually write reviews but this one was well deserved. 5/5 stars!
