This place is BUSY. Don’t expect to have any work finished day of. My car took 3 days and multiple phone calls just to get the diagnosis. The price was fair, and the customer service is friendly, but do not expect to get updates on your vehicle because they are pretty disorganized. When I got my car back after 9 days and even more phone calls to get updates, my battery was completely without juice, which they did not tell me about. Take your vehicle here at your own risk.

I came across this place when I was searching for a mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection of a car I wanted to purchase. I called and Ashley told me to come by and everything was done for FREE. Once the inspection came back and I got to see EVERYTHING that was wrong with the car. She went above and beyond to make sure that the car I was purchasing was safe for my babies and I. She saved my life and my wallet by helping me avoid this car once she saw everything that was wrong with it. The inspection was detailed, thorough, and thought out. She referred me to Shannon the manager and he was so kind. He directed me to someone who sold cars that were reliable and safe for my babies. They have became my mechanic overnight and they are the most honest people working in the automotive industry. Thank you Ashley and Shannon for showing me that honest people with honest service still exist.

Asked for a certain service and was giving a price. The service was not completed as asked for. After asking about it I was offered to redo it but if you can't get it right the first time how can I trust you on touching my vehicle again. They also left greasy footprints on my driver side floor mats. Floor mats in an auto shop should be automatic and if you can't do the easy stuff what else is done wrong.

The automotive shop that normally does my vehicle inspections stops doing them at 2pm. I had until the end of June to get my car inspected but I had no other appointments or obligations. I did a Google search for "nearby state inspections" and found Sun Auto Services. They were only 3 minutes away, and they're located 3 miles from my house. Honesty, integrity and character speak to you when you step inside their shop. Without an appointment they had me in and out of there in 30 minutes. Straight forward, transparent and wonderful customer service. Thank you, LaLa and Sun Auto Service!

I will always choose a business that is ran well by a woman in a male dominated space. I came here for a second opinion after a dealership gave me a ridiculous laundry list of things “wrong” with my car and I was blown away/relieved by the transparency and knowledgeable, hard working people. They found a coolant leak that 2 previous dealership service centers missed in the last year (one of those times being 2 weeks prior!) I got 3 fluid flushes and the coolant leak repaired for just under $1000. Ashley educated me, threw in discounts, and kept me informed the whole way! Cannot recommend enough!

*** AVOID *** FRAUDULENT UP SELLING UNNECESSARY REPAIRS *** EVIDENCE ATTACHED *** I own 2 Automotive Mechanic shops here in Austin, and one in Maxwell Texas and these people just tried to scam one of my customers - a 17 year old girl with hardly any money! I have over 20 years of experience and have attached the evidence to prove this as well. My customers 98 Accord had a power steering leak at 3 power steering hoses - and that is it. I was unavailable when she wanted to fix them so she went here for an estimate and they quoted her for the following unnecessary jobs. 1: ENTIRE power steering system replacement with pump & flushes. ((The power steering pump was fine and just needed an o-ring to be perfect. We replaced the 3 hoses for $40 total, and we had it all repaired in under 30 minutes. The system didn't need a flush because it was already flushed from being topped off for months and they wanted to bill her an additional $80 for a flush!)) 2: TIMING belt job and every component on the way there which is valve cover gasket and harmonic balancer. ((They didn't even inspect the TIMING belt AT ALL. They completely just added this for no reason at all. To inspect the belt, the valve cover would need to be removed, which would leave signs of removal on the gasket. They didn't remove the valve cover which means they didn't inspect the belt. The harmonic balancer needs to be removed to do the job so they billed for that too when it was perfectly fine as well! I have attached a picture of the perfectly healthy belt, taken on 10/2! 3: Rear brakes. The rear pads are LIKE NEW! The rotors were likely turned at one point and when these pads wear down, the rotors will need replacing, though it isn't mandatory right now. I've attached their outrageous ESTIMATE along with the most notable evidence to show they are taking advantage of people - the TIMING belt. ---------------------- This is absolute CROOK behavior, and they are attempting to steal a TON of money from a kid that can't afford to be taken advantage of. How many others have they done this to? AVOID *** AVOID *** AVOID

Recommended by a friend, now a loyal customer. I've literally been coming here for years. I'm surprised I haven't written a review. Anyway, the employees here are always polite and professional. Had my oil changed today, and the consistent commitment to customer service prevailed. Keep in mind, you cannot make an appointment. They will allow you to drop your car off after hours or throughout the day. Just have a ride lined up because this is a small shop. They do have comfortable waiting room if you choose to wait. I look for professionalism, politeness, clear communication, reasonable prices, and trustworthiness. Check, check, check, check...check!

If you been in Austin for any decent amount of time and asked around about a decent auto shop specifically for Japanese cars or Hondas then you’ve heard of Sun Auto. Either from a friend, satisfied customer, or just someone you ask on the street, then you don’t need to read the rest of this review. You already know. If you are still on the fence, just take your car in to Sun Auto Service. The Corpus Christi location is my favorite location. I had an outstanding experience with Sun Auto, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Shannon! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond. My car had to be towed, and he even helped coordinate everything and came to pick up my key so I didn’t have to spend extra money on an Uber. That level of consideration immediately stood out. Throughout the process, communication was clear and consistent. Shannon was transparent about what was going on, explained everything thoroughly, and even showed me the actual error and repairs. That kind of openness really builds trust and confidence. The repairs were completed on time, exactly as promised, and the customer service was top tier from start to finish. I work in customer service myself, so I truly recognize excellence when I see it. This was absolutely top of the line. Highly recommend!

The staff at Sun Auto is awesome!! Shannon and Ashley were very helpful in outlining what work needed to be done and Travis did a great job under the hood. Some parts proved more difficult to find but they pulled it off like the pros they are. They also outlined what needed attention but could likely be put off for a little while. Travis even caught some things the dealership missed and Shannon gave me a great price for the work performed. I highly recommend this Sun Auto location for anyone needing mechanic work done to their vehicle

I've had a great experience at Sun Auto Service. When I brought my car in, I was very stressed about what the outcome would be, and how much work my car would need. They took the time to explain me everything, reassure me, and a few days later, I received a very detailed report of all the things my car needs to be worked on (not as much as I expected honestly!), and they only charged me for what was the most urgent (which was why I came in the first place, so no bad surprise there). They seem very reliable and honest, and the staff was very welcoming. I will definitely come back next time I need my car to be looked at. Thank you again for your time!
