We have used Meining Automotive for well over 20 years to service & maintain all of our personal vehicles, both pickups and cars. We have always found Meining to be friendly, honest, fully knowledgeable, very reasonable in their pricing, and as thorough as can be in servicing our vehicles. There may be other auto mechanics in the area who are nearly as good, but certainly none that are better. A top-notch group, one and all.

Called for an estimate of a known issue with my vehicle. Was quoted a price over the phone, and we agreed for a drop off day. Then he called me back 20 minutes late with an updated estimate. I thought all was good. When I dropped the vehicle off for repairs, they called me before working on it to tell me the cost was significantly more than the two phone estimates, and no scope of work was changed. Wasted a bit of my time. I will not be back.

Professional, Straightforward and Efficient. Finding a car repair shop, service advisor and mechanic one can trust is difficult, IMO. Recently I had the pleasure of working with the Meining team. My service experience was the best possible and could not be improved. Bill was perfectly accommodating, extremely knowledgeable about the technology and he was very professional during the entire service process. He and his mechanic made additional repair/service recommendations which perfectly made sense to me which were taken care of as well. All work was professionally performed in a timely manner, and I plan to continue visiting Meining Automotive for all my needs.

I selected this mechanic service center based on high reviews from Google and Nextdoor. I brought in a Honda truck for a family member who has been taking her vehicle to the dealership. I was pleased with their customer service and being kept up to date on the truck's status as they worked on my concerns, which led me to bring it there. One of their calls surprised me; they found an issue and humbly offered another automotive center to work on it since they felt the time and labor would have been higher with them. This establishment has earned my business even though I have not taken my vehicles there. I look forward to working with them as I have found a reputable company.

Edited for clarity and to add photo: Last week our car wouldn't start properly. We took it elsewhere initially, and they said it failed a battery test. The battery was still under warranty from Meining, so we took it here and asked for help. They said they tested it twice, and both times it "tested fine" so they couldn't help. It deteriorated badly throughout the week, so I called this morning and talked with someone else. The guy tried to convince me that it was "multiple problems" even though he had literally never laid eyes on it, and said they would need it for a day to diagnose. He also said it would be a month before they could get me in. I got angry because, while I understood what he was saying, it felt like they were hanging us out to dry. I decided to take the car to an auto parts store for yet another opinion. I told them the whole story and asked for help. They brought out two different types of battery testers and used them. One of them said "REPLACE NOW" (I forgot to get a picture). The other one (pictured below) shows that the voltage is okay, but the CCA is **SUPER** bad. This is what makes me absolutely livid. The guy I talked to last week at Meining specifically said that the battery was PASSING the test because the VOLTAGE was fine. He gave me specific voltage readouts and everything. He never said anything out CCA, but the CCA is what made it bad. The CCA is a standard part of battery tests, so I don't believe for one second that he didn't know. He withheld the information because he thought I wouldn't know any better (I didn't at the time), and twisted things so that he wouldn't have to honor the warranty. This is so incredibly unethical. I know I lost money in the end, but I'm glad I paid for a new battery somewhere else if it keeps me from EVER talking to these clowns again.

Meining is by far the best auto shop I’ve ever worked with. They fit me in to their packed schedule and took care of my Jeep’s thermostat issue within hours. I was expecting to have to wait days as it was a last minute drop off but they went out of their way to get the work done for me same day. Everyone I have interacted with over the years is so kind and professional. Prices are fair and the work is quality!

My 2005 Subaru was not expensive 10 years ago... and it also came with higher miles. So, I knew it may have to be replaced as the repairs could likely become too costly. Yet, Meining has replaced that concern with peace of mind and a continued joy of driving, and maintaining a car I love. Now at 250,000 miles, my 20 year old car can often out perform a new one, and certainly costs thousands less. You have proven that I can keep a car I love running great year after year - and save money. Thank you!! I appreciate it, and can certify you as a wonderful repair service, and it is why I recommend you all the time. I really wish that I could recommend this mechanic. Unfortunately about 8 months ago they lost the skid plate to my truck after a job replacing the clutch. I've been told many, many times by the owner Bill Meining that they will make it right and find another skid plate, but still they haven't. I understand that the part is difficult to find and they've been shopping junk yards, but at this point I'd rather have something, anything, even if it's simply financial compensation for a part they lost. I've received zero communication in the last 2-3 months. Without any other options, I am forced to write this review and possibly pursue legal remedies. Bill, you know how to get ahold of me. EDIT: 15 months after they first lost the plate, Bill contacted me and got the new plate installed. It's a shame it took so long, and a complaint to state Attorney General had to be filed. I do consider Meining to be a reputable mechanic, hopefully a lesson was learned regarding the importance of communication & customer service. Changing the review to 3 stars now that a resolution has been reached.

These guys are Rock Stars They did an amazing job on my car. The cost was fair and I was treated with honest feedback regarding the future care of my car. Very impressed that a real human answers the phone, no fake human want-a-be named AI. And while waiting, the entertainment can be pretty funny, and there is no extra charge for it.

I had such an incredible experience at Meining! The mechanics were very honest about what needed to be done with my car. I asked them to look into a few things that I thought I may be due for, but they only completed maintenance that was necessary. I really appreciated this as I am a graduate student and try not to spend more money than needed when maintaining my car. Pricing was very reasonable and customer service was excellent.
