The dealership sold me one of the best vehicles I've purchased recently. Unfortunately, the communication, dedication, and response time to their erroneous transactions, caused me issues with register the vehicle for almost 12 weeks. I reached out to the GM via email and certified letter, but he never responded to me directly. The sales professional did a wonderful job sealing the original deal, but from there I dealt with lackluster management, to include the sales and DMV departments. As a veteran, I'd advise you to never purchase if you are from out of state. They have potential, but should greatly work on their positive insight towards the customer(s). Silence is not refuge only--it's also a negative character when speaking in terms of customer-to-business relationships. <EoM>

Purchased both the main and auxiliary batteries for my E-Class - both were in stock, and the parts professional even helped carry them to my car. When I returned the cores, he replaced the battery in my key fob and showed me how to do it myself. The dealership staff were friendly, and the entire facility was spotless. Do NOT visit this location. The staff lied to me, rushed me into signing a contract, and then changed the agreed-upon numbers after I signed. I had a clear verbal agreement with James, but once the contract was signed, they altered the terms. General Manager David Olds needs to be replaced. I trusted this dealership, and they took advantage of that trust. The Hoehn family needs to investigate this location immediately. I am now pursuing legal action against them. If the owners need proof, I have all the text messages showing exactly what was agreed upon, and I’m happy to provide them.

I took my 2009 Mercedes SL550 to this dealership to get a battery. Service advisor Kia talked me into buying two batteries. After the batteries were replaced, He then tells me I have a bad alternator. He should have diagnose this before battery replacement. He then told me I had an oil leak that was responsible for the alternator going bad. He wanted another $280.00 for that diagnostic test. He never really fully addressed my other issues I asked about. He seems to be only concerned about getting money and not taking care of the customer. I will never set foot at this dealership again. I went to another Mercedes Benz dealership and was treated absolutely great. I am totally disappointed with Mercedes off Carlsbad. Never again. Kia should be employed at a lower level dealership. Not Mercedes Benz. Have a wonderful day. P.S. The service manager said service advisor totally ignored my phone calls when I left them messages. Terrible!!!! Worst Mercedes Dealership in San Diego County. Motivated by gouging customers for profits while delivering substandard service.

Recently bought a used car from this dealership. I had Billy Daniels as my salesperson. It was the easiest car buying experience I have had. Billy was very professional and pleasant to work with, as well as the rest of the staff that were involved in the process. There was not a point that I felt forced or coerced in the process, it was very laid back and I enjoyed having time to look at numbers with no pressure. I stopped by MB of Carlsbad yesterday to do a test drive I scheduled in advance with David Silvas. I have a list of cars that I am interested in that check boxes of things I'm looking for and the AMG GT was among them. David was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the car. He is a good and trustworthy sales person. While the AMG GT did not ultimately land among my top favorites that i drove, the experience at this dealership was top notch. One of the worst car-buying experiences I have ever had. I have purchased around 15 vehicles from dealerships, and this was by far the worst. I bought a vehicle from out of state and had it shipped. The out-of-state purchasing process with this dealership was the most drawn-out process I’ve ever experienced. Aside from the three-week purchase process, I am still waiting on my registration paperwork more than a month later. They claim the delay is due to the state and their business office, but good luck getting a manager on the phone. I left six voicemails and did not receive a single call back. I was told the vehicle would include floor mats, yet only two were provided. They said new ones were being shipped, but it has been over two weeks and I still haven’t received them. I received a ticket for not registering my vehicle within 30 days, but I cannot register it until Hoehn sends the required paperwork. There is a severe lack of communication and follow-up. If you are going to spend $50,000 on a car, I assure you there are far better places to do it.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Mercedes-Benz of Carlsbad. After my vehicle was serviced, the technician failed to properly secure the coolant reservoir cap. This is a very basic step that should never be overlooked during routine maintenance. While I was driving, I suddenly received a warning that the coolant level was too low. This was very alarming and stressful because I immediately worried that my engine might be at risk of overheating or damage. After checking the car, I discovered that the coolant reservoir cap had not been properly secured. Because of this careless mistake, I had to go out and purchase coolant myself and refill it. For an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership, this level of negligence is unacceptable. A simple oversight like this could potentially lead to serious engine damage and should never happen after professional service. This experience has seriously undermined my confidence in the quality control of your service department. I hope the dealership will take responsibility for this mistake and ensure better attention to detail so other customers do not have to go through the same situation.

Good experience during purchase. After that you’re not important to them. Had a vehicle totaled and needed assistance. Had to call 10 times to try and teach my previous sales rep. Never heard from him even after VMs. Finally the manager assisted me. Now I have been trying to get a hold of finance for over a week and have left 3 VMs and it’s been crickets. No one ever answers, and front desk just re directs you to the sales rep or finance manager that you worked with, but they never answer. Assuming I will need the manager to assist me once again. Quick to take your money and very responsive when that is the case. I loved the vehicle as well. But yea don’t expect any help post-purchase. If i didn’t move out of state I would have physically gone there by now for assistance.
