I strongly advise against visiting this shop. I brought my car in for a specific issue, but instead of diagnosing or fixing the actual problem, they charged me for a completely unrelated service that wasn’t necessary. As a result, the original issue was never resolved. When I returned for a second visit, they attempted to charge me again for something else entirely unrelated to the original issue. At that point, I decided to take my car to another mechanic for a second opinion, and they immediately identified the real problem a simple fix that should have been caught the first time. To make matters worse, the second shop also pointed out that parts of my car weren’t even reassembled properly after the first visit. This was completely unprofessional and careless. As a result, I ended up paying twice and still had to deal with sloppy work. I strongly advise against visiting this shop at all costs.

Great service. Great price. Great people. I couldn't asked for better! My jetta lost power steering after a critter chewed up some wiring. I was able to have it towed to MF, get it repaired, pay over the phone and pick up the vehicle that evening. I highly recommended this shop for all VW needs! They are top notch!

I've dealt with MF Auto quite a bit and all my experience has been top notch. Now they are quite a busy operation so you be aware of that and have some patience. They've struggled to call me back at times, however I again understood that they are busy and they were always available when I would call. One of the cars they got running for me was a VERY problematic CISe fuel system drive 1989 MK2 Jetta. It took forever because it was a project car and needed some special attention. Well what do you know, the 1.8 16v was incredible after it was all done. It was so much fun to drive, however I gave up on the car and sold it to buy another car which I bought from MF Auto. I will even say that I bet they stayed after when their shift was over to work on my mk2 Jetta. Now I recently bought a car from them to replace my mk2 Jetta. I purchased a VW Passat Wagon which I absolutely love. They have not only replaced a good 2000 dollars worth of parts before they sold it to me (maintenance), they offered a warranty, and have been making sure that everything is right on the car. There was an issue with my headlight wiring and they purchased two new headlight harnesses for me and put them in for me. There was also an issue with the axle that was put in before they sold it to me. The axle turned out to be bad from the factory and they immediately bought me a new one and installed it also. Now, car repairs are expensive and I'd say MF Auto at times can be expensive just like any other ASE certified mechanical shop / Auto sales shop / Parts dealer and REVO software etc dealers. However, with MF Auto you get what's called ENTHUSIASTS. People who care about nice VW, Audi, and Porsche's as well as vehicles in general. Am I biased? Yes I am very biased towards people who know what they are doing and do good work. Matt Ford has tons of knowledge and hires good people. He might own the place but I've seen him multiple times wrenching on the cars. Awesome people. We've bought 3 cars from them in the last 5 year's.

I’m a fan of MF auto. For years I have trusted their knowledge of the vw vehicles. They always explain everything in detail and they also take pictures to show and tell what needs to be done and what has been done. Honestly I would never dream of taking my vw bug to another company. These MFer’s know their stuff. Great people. Great quality service at a reasonable price. I so very highly recommend.

I hate these review requests but I would do them 100 times for this business. I’ve been driving an Audi or VW since I learned to drive (1985!). MF Auto gets it! I'm disappointed to report that I did not have a great experience with MF Auto. I reached out to them in regards with doing a timing belt replacement on my daughter's Audi. We scheduled to do this repair while she was on winter break for her college classes. A few days before it was scheduled to go in the car started throwing codes so I reached out and arranged to have it sent there early which they accommodated. I have two conversations with Wes about looking over the car and ascertaining whether or not we should invest money in this car or whether I should just be looking for a different car for my daughter. We agreed that we would do a one hour inspection before spending any more money on it. Because of the codes that were being thrown he called back and asked if he could authorize a few more hours of Labor which I authorized. After spending 3 hours on it he said they couldn't figure out what the electrical problem was and had decided instead of spending any more money on it that it had a host of other issues and that I should look for a new vehicle for her. While I was disappointed that he did not do the one hour inspection we originally agreed on first I accepted this result. Upon getting the car back it now won't even start, much less run. With so many apparent problems described in the write-up I'm not sure why they asked for extra hours to service the vehicle only to give up after billing me $458. I would definitely not consider them experts on an Audi A4 Quattro, as they have the car for a week and couldn't even tell me what was wrong with it. The one hour inspection that we agreed upon would have been more than enough to tell me that there was a coolant leak, the oil filter housing needed replaced, the timing belt needed to be done (by schedule, no inspection needed for that) and that it had issues with the tie rods and front end components. It should have never been more than a one hour charge which we have initially agreed upon. Sending the car back to me with it not even starting or running now when it showed up there running and driving isn't even bigger smack in the face. I would certainly not use them again. They did a great job of making me comfortable with the initial sale only to charge me three times what I should have paid and to send a car back in worse shape than they got it.

I moved to Tennessee four years ago and where I moved from I had a great European independent shop that I’ve gone to for years and trusted. It took me a lot of searching and trying different places and I just couldn’t find a shop that really seemed to know what they’re doing when it comes to VW I am an hour and a half or more away from the shop, but I have now used them for two different vehicle repairs and maintenance some of them with problems they had to figure out and they have done everything 100% satisfactory and I’m very impressed! I keep very cleaned vehicles and you could not even tell they have been in the shop and a tech had worked in them. They kept wonderful cleanliness of the vehicle for me. Wes and Bob are excellent communicators and show genuine care for each customer their concerns and prompt service. I will definitely be back there again! So thankful to have found a shop like this

I cannot say enough about how amazing Wes and Bob are. The situation with my 2001 Audi TT was weird at best, super high mileage, had to tow it to the shop after another shop in town no-quoted me. Even over the phone the guys knew almost immediately what needed to be done. I put a lot of trust in them for this job without being able to physically be there, and wow did they deliver. Amazing with constant communication. They rebuilt my shifter linkages and cut me an additional key at a super reasonable price. Not only that, they were more than accommodating when I couldn’t come pick up the car for a little longer than intended. Sorry guys!! But thanks so much again! The blue TT made it all the way home 1400+mi!!! Unrelated to them: (and then, the day it arrived home, suddenly blew out the plastic firewall heater core coolant connector on an errand to the gas station hahahaha)
