I had a great experience at Midas! I came in for an oil change and some diagnostic work, and the team was professional, efficient, and upfront about everything. What really stood out was how the manager Tyler took the time to walk me through a price plan and explain the financing options available—super helpful and no pressure. Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable, which isn’t always the case at auto shops. I really appreciated the honest communication and great customer service. Highly recommend!

They seemed to do a satisfactory job, however, with that being said, I felt somewhat duped by their online coupon offering an oil change for 24.99. After I got there, the attendant informed me that for my year of vehicle, I could only use the more expensive full synthetic oil and it was 49.99 but after all the additional minuscule charges, I ended up paying $76.00. The online form asked the year and model of vehicle you own. So they could have indicated at that point that my vehicle didn’t qualify for the synthetic blend. Don’t make the same mistake I made. I felt that I had been lied to and should have walked out. I will never go back to a business that practices shady tactics.

I had my vehicle in for suspension work, cv axles, tie rods and a wheel bearing. They did a great job providing parts numbers, allowing me to save money ordering the parts myself. When I picked up my vehicle however, I noticed my rear window visor was missing. I found the visor in the grass behind the shop broken into 3 pieces. After collecting the broken pieces I asked the front desk if they knew this piece was broken. They said they were not sure and gave me my receipt. I drove my car down Central about 2 miles, and lost all power going to the vehicle. I got the car restarted in a parking lot and drove back to the Central location to let them know of this issue. The looked the vehicle over and after 20 minutes gave me the keys back and told me my car was "possessed". They actually said this. I trusted their opinion and needed to drive back to Lawrence Kansas the day after pick up. The vehicle began to lose power randomly again about 2 hours into my 3 hour trip. I got the vehicle to my destination (Lawrence), and upon starting the car the next morning, it now refuses to shift, along with the random loss of power. I spent just north of $1600 on suspension related work, and picked up a vehicle with massive engine and transmission issues. I explained to them that if any of these issues had been happening, I would have obviously prioritized this as the first repair before any of the suspension work. It was simply suggested to me to take the vehicle back in to a transmission shop to get looked at. I will be selling my vehicle at a complete loss and am truly heartbroken that the car that I have had for the last 10 years will now be sold for essentially scrap.

So often in this day and age, it is extremely difficult to find an honest, caring business, especially in the automotive repair industry. I am extremely pleased with the outstanding customer service I received from Rachel and her crew at the west Central Midas shop. From our first phone conversation until I drove away, I was blown away with the way Rachel and her crew treated me. I am a Senior Citizen and too often our age group is preyed upon bu unscrupulous Service Advisors and auto repair shops. I am very happy to report that my experience with Rachel and her crew was second to none! She was absolutely professional in every aspect on my visit. No high pressure sales attempts, just respectful communication! She was extremely patient about explaining everything, including my options and possible financing. The customer waiting area was very clean and organized. So was the shop area. The employees were wearing clean uniforms, and obviously kept the shop organized and tidy. Rachel even brought the technician that worked on my car into explain things and answer my questions. I would recommend this Midas location(on west Central in Wichita)to all of my senior friends. Too often the Senior community, of which I am one of, is preyed upon by unscrupulous car repair shops. Rachel made me feel completely at ease. She deserves a raise! Easiest 5 star review EVER!!!

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Nine days later, I noticed a slow leak in my back right tire. The same tire that had a slow leak before my appointment. This tells me that the tires were not rotated as claimed, and I was never informed of any issue that would have prevented them from doing so. In fact, my invoice claims that the work was completed. I returned on 12/29 to make them aware of the issue. While they did offer to rotate the tires, the earliest appointment they could offer was 1/3 even after expressing my disappointment. I declined the service and will take my truck elsewhere from now on. To me, trusting someone to work on my vehicle is a big deal. If they are willing to lie about doing a tire rotation, how am I supposed to trust that they completed the rest of the service without cutting corners that could potentially cost me thousands down the road? I would highly recommend that you take your vehicle to another shop.

First time customer, came in for an oil change. Everyone was friendly and professional. Rachel was amazing. She walked me through the cost breakdown and was completely transparent on what to expect from the service. They did a overall inspection and provided a detailed breakdown of what they checked, what passed and what needed attention and even provided a breakdown of what it would cost for repairs but weren't pushy about doing anything more than what I came in for. My experience with Midas — especially with Rachael — was truly exceptional. After dealing with a previous shop that claimed to operate on “Christian morals” but showed me anything but integrity, I was stressed and unsure where to turn. Rachael changed everything from the moment I called. She got me in the same day, stood up for me when a tow driver damaged my engine cover, and guided me through every step with honesty, compassion, and real integrity. Her team carefully diagnosed the issue and discovered the problem was tied to work the previous shop claimed to have done months earlier. When that shop tried to charge me for a tow that should’ve been covered, Rachael encouraged me to advocate for myself and even helped me look for a cheaper option. She supported me through the entire ordeal, checking in on me and offering solutions when the other shop left my car sitting untouched for a week with the statement that it would take another week for the work to be done. I decided to bring my car back to Midas due to the other shops lack of urgency (and professionalism). When my car returned to Midas, the techs clearly explained how they knew the “new” part from the other shop had never been replaced. They were patient, respectful, and transparent — everything you hope for in a repair shop but rarely find. I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism and kindness shown by Rachael and the entire Midas team. They’ve earned my trust and my highest recommendation.
