I would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible. My fiancé had a scheduled appointment for an inspection, we show up and they tell us they are behind and can’t get to it right now. Which we would be understanding but we NEVER received a phone call about them not being able to get to it; they weren’t apologetic or anything. They said if we left the car there overnight, they’ll get to it first thing in the morning. We never received a phone call so we called at 5 pm and they said the car didn’t pass because it needs front brakes and rotors, and tried to charge us almost $1000 just for the front ones. Mind you we just had the brakes and rotors changed 6 months ago. We said absolutely not. We live almost a hour away, and we called saying we’ll be there in a hour to pick up the car, we get to the shop and the cars still apart they said it’ll take 20 minutes. We waited for a HOUR for them to give us the car back. We took it somewhere else and they said everything was perfectly fine. Avoid this place

I had broken down in your town had stopped at a different mechanic about a mile up the street who told me good luck, but that he was too busy to even look at my car to tell me why it was smoking. I drove at 1 mile to your shop your guy Kind and generous looked at my car. He diagnosed it really quickly and was able to have it repaired and back to me within 24 hours.

I scheduled an appointment by phone and the manager had no idea that I was arriving. I was told the mechanic was "always late" and I would have to wait for him. They took my car in an hour after my scheduled time. After leaving on the lift for 40 min and not touching it, I was told that their emissions computer was broken and the computer wouldnt work. The manager, Lucas, told me to return the following day for my stickers. The following day, a new assistant called and told me "their inspector wasnt in." He had no clue I had spent the entire afternoon there previously and wasnt the slightest bit apologetic for being caught in the lie. Just a bunch of lies, laziness, and what seems to be inferior equipment. I'm actually glad I dont have to return, I was afraid they would sabotage my vehicle. The control arm I was told I needed was not acknowledged by the garage that performed second inspection.

Took our truck for inspection, they tried to charge us $1000 to fix something another shop laughed at price and said $100. We had an appointment but when we call you do not call them instead it calls a scheduling office who did not remember scheduling us and would not confirm the appointment so we waited HOURS. They got visibly upset after telling them we did not have the 1000 to pay and would need to leave with out the inspection. Just bad attitudes all around. Will never go back.

I went in for a wheel alignment. Was told I needed new rear tires before they could do the alignment. I ask them to do the alignment and I was planning on getting tires at a cheaper price elsewhere. They refused to do the alignment if I did not purchase tires. They did say I could go get the tires and come back. I did not have the time to do so.. so I proceeded to have them put on tires that I purchased from them. When I went back to pick up my car they told me that they broke a Tire air sensor and replaced it. Now the tpms light is on and was told the battery is dead in the front tires. Funny. Sensor was not on when I dropped it off.

Very frustrating experience with Monroe. It took three visits to get my car inspected understandably the first time I was told about a tire issue. I came back with the issue fixed to finish my inspection only to be told that the inspection would not pass again because of the brakes, I do not know why this wasn’t checked two weeks prior when I had the car in the first time. There was not much empathy shown for my situation from the gentleman working the desk. And the guy in the garage just seem grumpy. Also, I don’t understand that if I have an appointment time why it took 45 minutes for my car to be Knowing I was waiting for my car. I’ve been bringing vehicles to this location for years and One would think they would value returning customers. I did the work outside of Monroe as the charges to have the work performed were incredibly high

Didn’t know how to do a tire warranty and had to call multiple people for help. Told me I couldn’t get my tire replaced because it wasn’t blown out but I knew the warranty said other wise, after sticking up for myself, and this man being rude, I did get my tire replaced. They should reread the warranty. Very rude and doesn’t know they’re doing. Told me I also had a leak but said “oil or transmission I don’t know.” How do you not know. After we left and swore we’d never go back, I found out that man is the manager. Not sure how he got that position but he’s horrible. I may be a woman but I will not be pushed around.

Wish I could give zero stars, now that we are out over $600 due to their incompetence. We purchased stud able winter tires on Amazon, which gave us the option to have them installed at their partner- Monro. When arriving for our appointment, we stated to the gentleman at the desk that we had an appointment for "installation of STUDDED snow tires" that we purchased on Amazon. He took our information, had us email our receipt from Amazon to him to prove we paid for the installation fee. We left the vehicle and came back when they called a few hours later that it was done. The tires were NOT STUDDED. At NO POINT did the employee at the desk state that they did not have the capability to stud tires. I would not complain if we didn't make it clear that was why we were there when we arrived. We would have taken the tires to another facility that could stud them. Now we have tires cannot be studded since they were installed and driven on. This should be disclosed to any person purchasing STUDDABLE tires. The worker stated "I Assumed Amazon would have told you", which I find a ridiculous answer, how would Amazon know what you can and can't do? There were no description stating such when scheduling with them. And, no apology to boot. Very poor customer service. If you want studs, DO NOT GO HERE. Waste of money.

Overall a good experience here at Monro. They got me in as quickly as they could for an oil change given the circumstances, and by circumstances I mean the corporate call center flooding them with appointments that they can’t keep up with. There were only two employees at the time who had to call and reschedule several other appointments while I was there simply due to lack of hands. They were visibly stressed, which is not conducive to a good work environment or efficient workflow, nor is it fair to anyone involved. In my opinion, the corporate center needs to have better communication with the local shops in order to provide the best experience for customers and employees alike. The employees I interacted with did a great job with the situation they were handed - I’m only knocking one star off to hopefully bring attention to corporate that they need to check with their shops before scheduling as many appointments as possible. As a final note, I was never asked which oil change package I would prefer and therefore, from what I could tell, ended up paying for the highest option. This isn’t a huge deal to me personally, as I would have chosen that option anyway and spoken up if inclined otherwise. Nonetheless, that should be a question asked upfront rather than assumed.

I got an oil change and they checked my brakes, tires, filters, and the checked my bushings (because I asked) prices are fair, 10/10 would recommend to anyone
