I've been going to Jason's for 6 years because the prices are fair (no upselling!), and the work is excellent. With regular maintenance, and the occasional diagnostic repairs, my 2006 Corolla is still going strong! Note that this is an owner-run place: sometimes you get put on hold on the phone, and there can be a wait when they open in the morning. I usually make an appointment, and do a drop-off/pick-up or go get food/coffee around the corner.

This place is amazing! Sam at the desk is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My car’s a/c needed to be repaired and my daughter’s car needed some work done on her spark plugs. They were able to get us in fairly quickly and kept us in the loop throughout the day. Both times our cars were ready for pickup the same day. The prices were very reasonable and there wasn’t any high pressure tactics to upsell. Finding a good local small business is worth its weight in gold and I definitely recommend this one!

Went here after noticing a strong gasoline odor emanating from my vehicle. Talked to Sam on the phone and she was extremely helpful, describing the situation as best as possible. As a student, I was preparing myself to pay a hefty amount but once the shop discovered the source of the issue, they deemed the labor cost did not meet the initial quote, discounting me over $400. They were kind, thorough, and honest. Great experience here!

The North Park Auto Repair team is absolutely phenomenal! They’re quick, friendly, and somehow make everything feel easy even when you’re at the shop because something’s gone wrong. They take all the stress out of the situation with their clear, kind, and upfront communication, helping you tackle the issue at hand without any surprises. They’ve taken care of both of our cars, and this is hands-down our go-to spot! Their prices are fantastic, they’re deeply community-oriented, and you leave not only with your car in great shape but with total peace of mind. I couldn’t recommend them enough!!! 10/10 experience. Ladies, Sam will help you understand the process better... call her! Sam is your girl!! I live in North Park & wanted to go somewhere near my home. I started looking up auto repair shops, called a few, and when Sam answered the phone at North Park Auto Repair I KNEW I needed to go to this shop. She was very detailed, straight forward, helpful and customer service focused. I usually have awkward/weird/confusing experiences with auto shops... but I finally found one that I feel comfortable going to all because of Sam. North Park Auto did a great job on my car & it was SUPER fast!! I was impressed.

I have a 2008 Pontiac that went into limp mode with the check engine light on after driving it to San Diego from Washington state. The local GM dealer would not work on a car this old. Called North Park because they’re located near my daughter’s apartment and had positive reviews. The reviews are true! They agreed to diagnose the problem that day, identified the issue, Jason called me and explained fuel pump had failed, sent me a pic of the failed pump and explained why, I approved a replacement, they ordered new pump and installed it next day. This was the best car service experience I have ever had and the final bill was exactly to the same as original estimate for the repair. Great shop and honest people I was really impressed.

Jason is the absolute best. I have taken my car here for a few years since moving back to San Diego and he is so honest, won’t have you shell out a lot of money just in hopes that it will solve the problem. I can always call him for advice on my car and he is so genuinely knowledgeable whenever he services the car. Sam in the office is also the best and she is so professional and kind and will give you honest pricing and advice whenever you call. 10/10 would recommend!

There's a reason these guys are just a smidge off from a full 5 stars. Second time I've taken a car to them for repair. I've had the car since 60k miles (now at ~130k in 9 years) and have only had work done at the dealership (a few recall repairs, a carbon cleaning & a water pump) aside from oil/filter changes every 4-5k miles. I'd let a mechanic that's a family friend that I've known since childhood do some work on my car that didn't exactly go as planned. Had my car towed over and Jason took care of me! No price gouging, he gets straight to the point of what the issues are, what's needed and gets it done. Car is running great and ready to sit in the driveway in comfort since I work from home most days. I've also referred some friends over based on my first encounter with this shop a little over a decade ago and they're also always extremely satisfied with the level of service. 10/10 would recommend every time!
