After having an issue here & writing a review that I have since been taken down only because the conversation with Ed Mallard went no where. I’ve spoken to the regional manager Ed Mallard. Before I go into detail if the president of NTB national tire and battery see’s this review again please go listen to the call so you can see exactly what I’m talking about. Sonys the conversation started Mr. Mallard was rude & even he asked me about my point of view of the situation, I explained, he immediately went to deflecting and stating that there was basically no way that what I was saying happened had happened, although I have photos and proof of the damage & the bolts that were loosened are over 100FTLB & never lose. He claims he level three mechanic and never corrected my incorrect terminology on the tie rods being called ball joints. I explained, however, exactly where and what was damaged and he also spoke of the same area on the vehicle and called it ball joints, so I am under the impression that he knew what I was talking about although the terminology was incorrect. he also stated that he had called me multiple times. I checked my phone record and I only had one missed call which was the one I was returning once he and I were on the phone. He also never addressed the second issue that I had which was a missing bolt underneath my vehicle. He was so focused & agitated on claiming that there was no way that NTB had not done this all the while he never even knew when I was there nor did he look at my account( yes he didn’t even look up my account, he said so on the call) so there’s no way that an investigation on the matter was ever done. Had an investigation been done and it had been found that they had not done it, maybe this would’ve been satisfactory, but no investigation, no questions, no insight, then you cannot have a conclusion that they did not do the damage. ED Mallard was not the technician who worked on the vehicle, but yet he continued to highlight his level three mechanic status, as if it made a difference of what the actual technicians who worked on the vehicle may have done. I will no longer use national tire and battery. As I stated in the conversation I had with Ed Mallard if nothing else this has taught me to go directly to the dealership to deal with more professional mechanics for the work that I’m unable to do at this time. If a professional from NTB wants to talk to me like the president directly, I will do that, but ED Mallard is not a professional and cannot handle this situation.
