My vehicle battery died and so I replaced it. Three days later, it died. I knew it was the alternator. I’m new to the area and didn’t know where to go. Someone recommended them and after reading the outstanding reviews, I decided to give them a try. I met David the owner, and his wife. They were very friendly and professional. It was late at night so they said they’d check everything out and call me the next day. Jack called (Mechanic) the next day and was very nice and professional. He explained everything in a way I could understand and they repaired my vehicle. They were timely, professional, and made you feel at home. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend.

Recently had work done to my van from another company that I trusted, got her back with more problems then expected, was seriously afraid to drive my van since 2 of the gauges were sky rocketing past “H” and the battery gauge was closer to -8. Opelika Town Automotive was recommended to me and was told they can work on any vehicle. They had it figured out in less than a day, not over a week. Will highly recommend this company to anyone, no matter how old or new your car, truck, jeep or van is, they got your back 100%!! Never in my life have I been more disappointed in car service. I was driving up through Auburn when new lights flashed on my dash for battery issues. I have a Hybrid car, and after looking up the lights realized it was a Hybrid battery issue. I went here and told them this. Meanwhile, every new person that looked at the car had to be reminded it was a hybrid car after their diagnosis, proceeded to act surprised, and then not change their diagnosis. I was told it would be over 400, but for a hybrid battery issue, I did not know how high or low it should be and assumed this was reasonable, my mistake. It proceeded to take three times as long to fix as I was told it would. They kept telling me my gas cap needed replacing to fix one of the lights, the gas cap was less than a year old, and the light they were worried about was air conditioner related. I told them twice I did not need the gas cap, they insisted on getting one to the store and charging me anyway. After hours of waiting, and then taking my car ‘around the block’ (taking an additional half an hour to pick up that gas cap I did not want), I finally got to check out the work and be done with it. THEY REPLACED THE REGULAR BATTERY. 440 FOR A REGULAR BATTERY AND A GAS CAP. I have replaced the battery before. Never in my life has it been nearly that amount. I’ve paid 200 with labor, 90 to go pick up a battery and replace it myself. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed with service. I turn the car on, every single dash light is still on, who would’ve thunk it. What a waste of time and money. Never trust this place within an inch of your wallet or with a second of your time. I don’t care if you have a hybrid or not. They are scammers and will agree to work they are not qualified to do nor know how to do for a quick buck. Hell is too cold for them. Edit: Liars and frauds. Thank you for the correction, 440, how generous you were. How do you manage to stay open with such generosity? I went in and asked if you could fix something. You couldn't fix it and worked on the car anyways. I'll repeat, hell it too cold.

I drive a 2012 Camry with over 240k miles. I was worried about noisy in near steering wheel area. I visited several shop, but there is no local mechanic could solve issue. Therefore I had to study this noisy for couple of days, and I started to suspect the steering wheel damper(Tiny plastic part) is the common issue for Camry 2012-2016 model. Long short story, Jack took the time to explain what he knows No matter what the exact cause is, I really appreciated how Jack listened, understood, and worked with me to figure things out over the phone. That kind of attitude means a lot. I feel like I finally found the right mechanic shop for me, and that makes me really happy. With their support, I believe my car can make it to 400K miles.

Short version: They are amazing! Longer version: You won't find a fancy website or a shiny flashing sign. They keep their prices reasonable and always seem to err on the side of what is best for the customer. They stick to the timelines they set and treat people right. You will not find more honest, hard-working people that know their stuff and don't just try to jack up a repair price. I've never had a mechanic try to talk me out of getting a more expensive repair and recommending cheaper alternatives until I worked with Jack, David, and the rest of the staff. They treat us like family and have taken great care of my Mom even when I'm not around. I cannot stress how amazing they are and how they treat people right! If you're not sure who you can trust to get your vehicle fixed, I'd highly recommend checking them out! A large amount of the repairs they do is same-day, you can drop it off first thing in the morning and we got a call about 20 minutes after they were officially closed saying they'd still be there another hour if we wanted to come get it that day. A lot of shops will just leave it until the next day but they understand that people need their vehicle and do their best to get it back in your hands as quickly as possible. Great people, great service, at an affordable price!
