I did a search online for a Transmission specialist in Pearland and Pearland Transmission Man has the highest reviews and the best recommendation in the area. I usually do most of my own repairs but I'm currently traveling and working in the area and I don't have the knowledge or ability to repair my own transmission. Last year I took my van and pickup truck to two different Pep Boys on Fry Road in Katy, Texas and they both tried to up-sell and charge me for un-necessary additional repair work that was already done in the past on my suspension and brakes. I now do online research and ask a lot of questions before I decide on a repair shop. From my very 1st phone call Charles was able to answer all my questions, he took the time to explain the error trouble codes over the phone and gave me additional troubleshoot tips and provided an estimated cost over the phone. Most mechanics would never take the time to explain in detail. When I went to his shop, Charles used his hi-tech diagnostic code meter and show me the error codes and went over all the details to fix my transmission. I never had a mechanics spend so much time with me to explain the step in troubleshooting and repair. My transmission didn't need to be rebuild, I just needed to replace a few parts and Charles saved me a lot of money. I highly recommend Pearland Transmission, I trust him and as long as I am working in the area I will call Charles for any future maintenance or repair on my vehicle.

This is a good shop, they fully rebuilt my trans for a 2001 isuzu rodeo for a reasonable price, and even worked a payment plan out, and only asked to hold onto my title. They also offered a 3yr/36k warranty on there work, but I'll doubt I'll need it. The last rebuild lasted 10 years AND I even doubled the rated weight capacity for 6 months( which is what inevitably blew it out) and it still never left me stranded. It hung on by a thread for 3 months till I finally coughed up the cash to fix it. 5 stars. Bobby and charles are great.

This guy is incredible! I went to get a transmission transfer case fixed here after Firestone quoted me over $6,000 to get it replaced. I offered to get the transfer case used so they could put it in, but they said they only buy from dealerships, which is weird that they'd want to put a brand new one in an old 2013 Dodge Durango. This guy just ordered the parts, and put it together himself. He kept me updated every step of the way, which I'm very grateful for as I was on a timeline. I gladly paid a bit over $1400, and as im writing this: I just made it to Indianapolis. When the repair was completed he even brought out the faulty part, and showed me what was making the noise! Obviously he did a great job or I wouldn't have even made it out the city of Houston. It's a shame I won't be back, but hopefully this helps anyone find quality service at better prices than the bigwig anti-consumer corporations.

I had installed a Revmax valve body on my 2009 Dodge Ram 2500. I have a 68RFE transmission that required a relearn for the new valve body. The instructions on the new Valve Body said do not put in gear until the relearn was performed. Consequently, I asked Charles if he could come by my house with his Scan/Computer and do the relearn. He readily said he would drop by later that day. I appreciated his kindness and understanding in coming to my house to do the relearn. He said for me to pass it forward. I still gave him a $20 for his time because although he was 4 miles from my house he took the special effort to help me. Thank you Charles for being helpful and kind!

Best shop ever no lie. No only did they help me out they did a great job in time. Would recommend to anyone that has issues with transmission. Charles is a great mechanic as he was rebuilding he will keep you updated on how it is going. Extremely resonable and willing to help you out, i could not ask for better service. Any other shop they where asking for 3 to 4 days. I was in and out in one day. Not only did it drive good it felt great smooth shifting like a brand new truck.

Awesome experience with Charles. My 18 Ram 2500 needed a transmission rebuild. He explained the process, and the benefit of the rebuild. He promised a schedule and stuck to it, provided an estimate and the total was just a few dollars under his estimate. I stopped by one day and he showed me the old, worn parts and the new Mopar replacements. Highly recommend PTM - honest, straightforward and very competent. Honoring a schedule is super important to me as I use my truck to make a living.

This is the place to go in Pearland. I drive a 1976 Chevy pickup that was leaking transmission fluid from EVERYWHERE! Not only did Charles find all the leaks, he replaced worn parts and made sure the truck was road ready before giving it back to me.
