I was in need of a turn signal bulb replacement and other Pep Boys locations and auto shops either quoted me high, told me they were unable to assist, or were not pleasant to talk to. Fortunately, Matt at this location was more than happy to assist and was extremely friendly from the get go, from initial phone call to visit. I know very little about cars but felt safe knowing he was on the job. I 100% recommend this location and him for his excellent service and eagerness to get the job done. This will be my go-to location for anything car related from now on. Thank you Matt and Pep Boys!

I found myself in a stressful situation with my two young boys and a flat tire luckily my vehicle was only stranded steps away,Alex at this location in Tempe Arizona was so amazing by quickly taking matters into his own hands and obtaining my vehicle and allowing me to stay sane by got us back on the road in less then 15 minutes! I will forever be grateful for the amount of compassion that was shown and the exceptional customer service that was given.He is a prime example of what real five star Customer Service should looks like. As someone that takes care of my vehicles it was a Horrible experience Dropped off my truck to get valve stem replaced My rims (like new!) was damaged and my lug nut key was damaged as well, service provider didn’t seem to care Will not be back nor recommend to others

I recently had my A/C compressor and condenser replaced, but the system was overcharged due to improper equipment and wasn’t cooling efficiently. I scheduled an appointment with Pep Boys, and even though they were extremely busy—with a full parking lot of vehicles—they still handled my car professionally. It took a bit of time to assign a technician due to being overbooked, but once they started, the job was done quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly, and the pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We had to have my daughter’s car towed because it overheated. They gave me a reasonable quote to fix the issue, and when I got the bill it was less than the estimate because they discovered that some of the recommended repairs quoted were unnecessary! WHO does that?!? This Pep Boys does! I highly recommend them to you!

DO NOT BRING YOU CAR HERE let me explain why, these people all of them may I say are scammers and liars I came here to fix my 2019 Mustang because the check engine light came on and it wasn't starting smoothly so I left the car there and they said it was the spark plugs and ignition coils so they fixed it for around $800! I then brought it back home the same day and the next day the SAME EXACT ISSUE was still present and then the check engine light came back on so we brought it back for them to look at it again and they kept it for 2 days trying to find the issue and they couldn't so after 2 days with no car to use they finally called me back after not saying a word for the 2 days we left it there and they said they couldn't find the issue and to come pick it up and when I came to come pick it up I found out that my car had 50 extra miles on it! Called to see what that was about and they said it was part of there (tests) i don't know what kind of test includes 50 MILES! worth but ok and they didn't even say they were going to be driving my car around for the testing they said they were going to (look) at it such sketchy people I'm telling you CANNOT TRUST these people with your car they clearly took my car for joy rides till they were done with it then just gave it back to me it's still broken by the way and they couldn't even bother to screw in the engine cover screws back so now my engine cover isn't even securely tightened onto the top of my engine I attached a video to this review if you don't believe me and if your wondering how I would know I had 50 extra miles on my car when I got it back I was smart enough to take a picture of my mileage before giving them possession of my vehicle and that's how I found out when they gave it back to me that they put miles on my car without me even knowing one can only imagine what else they did to my car if they couldn't even bother screwing in some screws into a engine cover! Please just go anywhere else but here............. PS went here to get my car serviced ended with my problem not being solved becoming even worse and wasting A LOT of time and money on repairs I didn't even need and not having a car for a total of about 3 days for a Minor engine missfire

I took my car hear a few weeks ago for new struts & shocks. My struts weren’t even tightened down causing my steering wheel to shake.(took it to Big O thinking I needed my wheels balanced,but didn’t) Now I have a weird metal on metal sound when turning left as well.

Let me tell you about the God awful experience I had at this pep boys. I came in on 12/17/2025 to have my tires checked and to get new ones the front desk worker advised me that my front driver tire is beyond repair and needs to be replaced. I stated my driver side rear tire loses air as well and if I could check it for a leak. They said they would check it and to wait 45 minutes. While that was going on they advise the tires I wanted were not in the shop and to place an order online ti have them shipped to the store. I did exactly what she said and placed the order. When I got back to my car they stated there was nothing in my driver side rear tire. Which I found odd because a different shop informed there was something there. The front desk person said they couldn’t do a dunk test but there wasn’t enough light outside so they did absolutely nothing with my car for 45 minutes. I came back to this pepboys on 12/18/2025 with my order and appointment. I was terribly informed the warehouse had not sent my tires to the shop. I followed every instruction from the front desk worker yet she attempted to place blame on me by saying I didn’t prepay in the website. I was never informed to prepay I was only told to place the order. She then tells me the only tires they have are about 50 dollars more than what I expected to pay. This was clearly a pepboys error. I came in this shop with the last 250 dollars to my name and they did me wrong. Pepboys yall seriously gotta be better. You let me down Natalie

Came to this location for a diagnostic Natalie & David were so helpful & kind! David was great didn't rush & took his time inspecting my vehicle thoroughly & was able to help steer me in the right direction to what the problem is with my vehicle! I have been to plenty of auto repair shops in my time and know which shop's to stay away from that try to overcharge you & bs you on unnecessary repairs & this was not the case with David he was honest & very helpful highly recommend!!! This is the second time I brought a vehicle to Pep Boys. In a world where finding a good mechanic is not only difficult, But finding one who’s good and you can trust is next to none. Alex in the mechanics demonstrates Both qualities and their entirety. Honestly, I would think Alex was AI if I couldn’t see him with my own two eyes he’s the perfect employee. Pep Boys should give him a Pep Boys. The news this time was not Necessarily what I wanted to hear, but he gave me all the information to make a decision without costing me any additional money. He certainly could have I would’ve known no different. I am a repeat customer because of my treatment by Alex last time over two years ago. I was happy to see he was still there and still giving the same honest information. They were fast, service was impeccable. It was easy to use, and the diagnostic was a good price. I highly recommend utilizing this shop.

Absolutely dishonest shop — avoid at all costs. I brought my 2016 Kia Optima here on a Sunday because they were the only place open and the car was overheating. They told me the engine heads were cracked and that coolant was mixing with the oil, claiming my only option was to replace the engine. Thankfully, I had the vehicle towed to the shop I normally use for a second opinion — and good thing I did. My trusted mechanic confirmed there was no issue at all with the heads or fluids. The actual cause? A stuck thermostat, which cost me about $300 to replace. This shop tried to convince me to replace an entire engine that did not need to be replaced — a blatant lie, not an honest mistake. There’s simply no way to “accidentally” confuse a bad thermostat with cracked engine heads and mixed fluids. Their diagnosis was completely fabricated to push an unnecessary and expensive repair. If you value honesty and integrity, steer clear of this place. I’m considering filing a BBB complaint because what they did goes far beyond an error — it’s deliberate deceit.
