brought my car at 9 AM I asked would the car be done before 6 AM to have the diagnostic done to let me know what work has to be done? Well, here it comes at 5:45 in the evening they call and tell me that the car just got the diagnostic done I explained to the sales person at the front desk that I would need the car by Monday. And if they weren't able to do that, then please let me know and I would take it someplace else the answer to that statement or should I say question was yes, we will have it done before that time. I called multiple times 1 at 3 o'clock 1 at 5 o'clock and each time. They told me, don't worry, sir. It will be done. How can you? Tell me the work would be done on a car by 6 o'clock. And you contact me at 5:45 in the evening and it needs a tune up. I will never take my car to pep. Boys. I'm sorry. They are sorry if I could give them A0I would give them a 0. That's how horrible it was not only that I took my car there before and I vowed never to do it before. They told me that my headlights could not be repaired because it wasn't an electrical problem. Took my car to another shop and it put the headlights in. It's been over a year, no electrical problem. So i'm the dumb one for taking it back to pep boys

My vehicle broke down and it was towed to Pep Boys. The best thing that could of happen. Will and the guys spoke with me through out the process. I was able to see what was going on with my service. I am already scheduling my appointment for my second vehicle for service so that it won't break down like the other. I will be traveling to them from Raleigh but I don't care, these guys are amazing and even if I break down, I know the insurance company will send the best to get me up and running again, The Pep Boys.

Alright overall experience was ok for their brevity , kindness , and professionalism as they were good at a customer service level however I got an alignment done with these guys which wasnt horrible cars steering wheel to drift ratio was okay i guess slightly better than when I turned my car in, and wouldnt you believe a wildly loud rattling noise started on my car almost immediately after pulling off I assumed it was the tires or bearings since the alignment should be great it was just done afterall. I thought okay maybe since the tires are worn its aligned but Ill need new ones and went through a long list of things I thought could be wrong new parts this that took it to a mechanic and got it fixed and turns out the sway bar links were loosened by pepboys and never retightened properly cause a bit of damage sure but... how do you take your car in for service and get it turned back to you / incomplete or in worse condition than you got it?

I’ve came here since I’ve been stationed here, and they have always taken for ever for tires. I worked in California as a general service technician, tire technician, lube tech, to mainline tech and good god an hour to just tell me my tire was non repairable ? My bosses would have my rear end , excuse my language, but we were always held to a standard. I can understand under the hood inspection, cabin, tire tread, brake check, under carriage components, but none of that on the link sent to my number was even done, just a picture of my wheel and “tire not repairable” shit I would tell customers that when I was 18 in the first 10 min and let them decide. I’m sorry but you guys had your chance, I’m just so disappointed.

I have never had issues with Pep boys before, but this time the service tech did not hook my hood release cable back up in the drivers side of my car and I found out the next day when I was going to check my oil. I took it back immediately but they wanted to charge me for it saying it was worn out. A friend and I repaired it in an hour or so and there wasn't anything wrong with it. The tech just didn't hook the cable back up. Very disappointed in the way they did me.

I went to Pep Boys concerning my battery. I called before going and was quoted a price for my battery. When I got to the shop, they tried to quote me a price almost double the initial cost. I was able to talk with an associate and get my original quoted price after being given an attitude and almost being called a liar about the price I mentioned that I was quoted over the phone. I left my car overnight and was informed I would receive updates concerning the progress. I never received any updates and had to keep calling about the status of my car. When I called the associate informed me they put the NEW battery in but that my car would no longer start and they would need to run a diagnostic to figure out what was wrong. This diagnostic was going to cost me extra on top of my original cost. No one informed me beforehand of the diagnostic they were wanting to perform. I argued that I was not paying for more services because no one informed me beforehand. I was finally able to speak with a manager who voided the cost of the diagnostic. My car was finally finished 2 hours later and I never received a call about it being done. I had to call them AGAIN to get the status of my car. I asked what was the problem that prompted the diagnostic and no one could give me an answer. I instead was told “the “master mechanic” worked on it and now it’s running again.” I don’t plan on going back after the run around I was given just to put a battery in my car.

Worst place to bring a car to. These clowns attempted to ring me up multiple times w/o military discount when I was always there in uniform and on top of that I told them that it’s a fleet car registered in their system when I check in for my appts but they always wanted to bill me for the maintenance costs instead of the rental company they’re partnered with so I had to escalate the situation every time! Lastly, I had the insane experience of your employee, the white dude w/ponytail wearing glasses who threw the car keys on the floor after violently closing the car doors made me understand this place employs mentally unhinged ppl.

don’t let them keep yr car overnight. employee opened my mail and took a brand new unactivated card out of the car then tried to say ppl break into the cars sometimes but the car had no damage to show a break in and no camera footage of where the cars are parked. yeah right, broke run down establishment and will over charge and steal from u. tried to charge my mom for a new $300 for a new battery rotary cord when she got it screwed back in for free at the auto zone and her car runs fine now. always get a second opinion and don’t let them keep yr car, even if the employee didn’t take it why don’t u lock the cars and why don’t u have cameras outside where u park cars but have them inside.

First, got here at 12 and didn’t leave to 3pm that was the first thing. Pep Boys on Skibo will mess your car up and won’t take accountability for what they did. They will make you feel like something else is wrong with your car but your car can be working fine before they work on it. This is the second car they have messed up but won’t to keep charging you money to fix a problem they cause. Went for an oil change and like they just poured the oil all over the car instead in the oil hole. Oil was everywhere. Now my car shaking , putting and when you stop it cuts off. The manager Angela keeps saying it’s the spark plugs and oil don’t get up there but oil was everywhere under that hood and then they sprayed it down with water so now oil and water could have gotten in my spark plugs. It’s like they just try to get over on people. I was quoted an oil change for $88 then when it’s time to pay $180, what!!! For me to have it towed back to them. After they messed up my Range Rover I gave them another chance and they blew it again. Been going here for 3 years now, never again. *I tried to upload a video to give better views but it won’t load.

Huge thank you to Bob and the staff at Pep Boys on Skibo. My daughter’s car broke down at Chipotle on Skibo and Bob went above and beyond assisting my daughter and husband with trying to fix/diagnose the problem. We had the vehicle towed to Pep Boys and they did a thorough check of her car. A employee who answered the phone recommended a locksmith after they couldn’t address the problem which pertained to the alarm system and kept us updated on the status. Even though they weren’t able to fix the problem they showed great concern and terrific customer service. And to top it off, they didn’t charge my daughter anything. Very refreshing to encounter people who genuinely love what they do and enjoy providing quality service to their customers. Kudos again to Pep Boys.

We got a flat tire on the highway. Long story short, I called around to find out who had the tires in stock. Pep Boys confirmed they were in stock, supposedly checked in their back room and set up an appointment for about an hour later. We paid extra to have the car towed to that specific location and when we arrive it turns out they weren't in stock. Supposedly we reached a third party answering service instead of the front desk at that location. I don't care if it was an answering service or not, they represent Pep Boys and gave us incorrect information, even after supposedly physically checking. We had to wait over 24 hours to get the tire and have it replaced. The following day we received a phone call at 2:30 saying it should be completed about 4pm but the car was completed after 6pm. We also received a link to check the status, but when they began working on the car the status didn't update, even after we called to confirm. The front desk treated us well and the installation itself seems to have been done well, but this situation should have never happened. I can't help but wonder if it was a sales tactic to get us in the door since we were unlikely to tow the car again.

James is great! He knows how to do alignment on lifted trucks properly. I was in and out in one hour. The price after the military discount was very reasonable. I'll come back again when I need another alignment on my Tacoma.

Pep Boys on Skibo Road is not only affordable and professional, but they are amazingly friendly. Will, and the entire team, deliver top-notch service each time I frequent their establishment. I was so delighted with them during one visit, I returned with donuts and cookies. It's great to find fair pricing, skill, and friendliness under one roof. Thank you!

I was to have a complimentary oil and filter change service through Carvana (Silver Rock) with this company, and to boot it was a rocky start - I called the Skibo location - I was told that I need to come in to start the process - I went there around 6 -7 pm and was told that because they will have to call the Silver Rock I would need to come in before 5 pm and that I should come back in the morning - next day I went in the morning and was told by this guy - "oh silver rock can keep us on the phone long trying to get approval so you will need to leave your car". Are you even serious about getting business? Why would I leave my car with you for an oil and filter change - then to have to find transportation to get around - for me it was the excuses and the turnaround - lazy and sleazy employees. All i could gather from the interactions is that some funny business was planned for my vehicle. I work in the service industry, and I would never tell a potential customer the foolishness I was told. For your information I was able to get my oil and filter change at Take 5 - all that was required was for me to give the fleet name and number. Pep Boys celebrating 100 years and that was the best you could do ? Whatever scam you all got going on in there better get checked because I got poor customer service before even being a customer. I took my business elsewhere. Bad and inefficient employees have driven big businesses to the ground. A word to the wise is enough.

This review is for the Pep Boys location on Skibo Road in Fayetteville. My concern is primarily about customer service and communication—not necessarily the quality of the mechanical work. When I dropped my vehicle off, I was told the service would take about 1.5 hours. After four hours with no update, I called and was told it would be ready in 20–40 minutes. I never received a follow-up call, and when I tried calling again, the shop was already closed for the day. The next morning, I called and was told it would be ready in two hours. Four hours later, I finally received a call saying it was ready. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was informed— for the first time—that one of the requested services had not been completed. No one could explain why. When I asked if it could be done then, I was told there was no one on duty qualified to perform the service and that I would need to bring the vehicle back another day. To make matters worse, my floor mats were left with noticeable oil stains from dirty shoes. I understand that delays can happen, but the lack of communication, inaccurate time estimates, and poor attention to basic care of my vehicle were disappointing. I sincerely hope the mechanical work performed was better than the customer experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I will not return to this location or recommend it to others.

Good experience had the assistant manager assit us he was quite friendly. We went in for a wheel alignment he was quite knowledgeable about the issues we were having. There is a bit of a wait but is expected. Ample parking space. Right across the road from Panera Bread. Overall good experience.

Called to schedule appointment for 4 wheel alignment and got one for same day. The service writer was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable and immediately inspected the vehicle and prepared the work order. I observed the mechanic complete a thorough inspection of the steering and suspension before doing the alignment. Upon completion the mechanic explained the service using before and after chart. The service took less than 1:30 minutes from start to finish. I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Highly recommend

Very welcoming, reassuring, and responsive staff. Truly a one of a kind experience, their prices for the parts, and labor were incomparable to similar nearby stores. Staff went out of their way to help me, even past closing time to make sure everything was good and provided an overall very positive experience for me.
