I guess reviews should have been read prior to doing business with company. To start I went to this pep boys location at approximately 915 where I spoke with David. I told him that I had 4 brand new tires that I had purchased elsewhere. I asked if he would be able to mount/balance and complete an alignment on my vehicle. David said that would be no problem and it seemed to be true as the shop was empty besides one other person. David took my keys and had the technician take my car back quickly. At approximately 1015 David came into the shop and mentioned that I needed a new airfilter and asked if I wanted it replaced. He stated that it shouldn't be too much long that the alignment was next. At approximately 1030, I observed my vehicle backing out of the bay and going towards the alignment bay. Once on the rack in the alignment bay I was able to observe my vehicle sit for a while without being moved. At approximately 1115, I asked about my vehicle. I was reassured that it would be done soon. At approximately 1200, I was able to hear my vehicle backing out as the technicians began to have a horn blowing contest between my vehicle and another. Soon after the technician left with my vehicle and drove back into the driveway stating he was done. I went to the front counter to pay and was given the invoices. I asked the technician about the alignment values paper and he said they may have been out of paper. He then went to the back and came back with a paper saying my cast axle in the back has a slight bend and may have a vibration. I leave and drive around Raleigh at approximately 30-40mph for a couple of hours. Upon hitting the highway my vehicle begins to violently shake and the dash began to jump up and down. I called back to pep boys and was reassured that my tires were balanced when mounting. I had to take my vehicle to another shop where every tire was out of balance with the worst 3oz. I called back to pep boys and advised that and they stated they were sorry and unsure what happened. After $220 and 3 hours, I had to leave and get the right guys for the job.

Brought My car in for a alignment and inspección, on My way out Iget told one of My tires has is leakinh from an old patch. My tires are brand new and habe not been patched bit I toll with it because I need to have the tire replaced at the moment so I get to a different shop to get told that My tires is patched and plugged and is still leaking. So at this location they messed up My tires tried to patched it messed it and on top of that messed up My tpms. Horrible service Will not ser any of My money ever again.

Came in for an oil change after moving across the country back in December and they recommended a full synthetic oil change for a higher mileage vehicle, okay cool. Fast forward 5 months and my oil light is flashing on and off inconsistently. Took it to a different shop after getting established and they said it was very dark with little to no oil on the dipstick. Mind you I’ve never had this issue since I bought this vehicle 5 years ago and have consistently changed the oil every 3k-5k miles prior to relocating as recommended. Never really have heard good things about pep boys but thought would give it a try but this will make me not come back again. **Finally got a call back 2 months from the manager of that location after filing a claim but they make you follow up on it and no one actually contacts back right away which leads me to think it’ll just get swept under the rug**

I have never wrote a bad review but this place seems to like them lately so I figure I'll add mine . I went and bought 4 tires from them and the second time we drove the vehicle the CHECK TPMS light came on. I went home to look it up. It's for the tire pressure sensor inside tires. Also I read that sometime when the tire tech removes old tires from rim they can mess it up. So I took van back and they looked at it and said both front ones were broke and needed to be replaced. I asked them if they could of messed them up and of course said no. No manage was there so I left. So I called a few days later and talked to asst manager and he also said it wasn't them. So since i didnt have any proof, I went back to go ahead and let them them. They gave me estimate of 290. After waiting a while the lady running front called me up and they had the wrong sensors in estimate and I needed different types and it was going to be around 470. I've been there a while so I just said ok. So after they were done the assistant manager checked me out and lowered it to 370 I guess to be nice. So then when I left I started my van and the TPMS light was still on. So I went back inside and the assistant manager said they forgot to tell me that whatever they use to reset the light wasn't working and I'll have to go to another store in garner to get them to reset it

Waited for over 2 hours to have a tire patched only to have the tire go flat immediately upon returning home. The AAA service tech said it was the worst patch job he’d ever seen.

They took an hour to do an inspection even though I was the only person there. They failed my inspection due to tires that had low tread and proceeded to offer me a discount on a new set of tires, so I took my car next door to the jiffy lube and they DID NOT fail me for my inspection. The customer service rep proceeded to go silent when I confronted him about the service taking so long. This place is a scam, a waste of time and money. Do not go here.

These guys are the best and very professional!! I have been coming to pep boys for about 8-9 years now and since old management left from location I was going to one of the wonderful workers are management at this location and other than Honda& Hyundai, pep boys ( western blvd) will be my only other people I trust on my vehicles. Incredibly slow service even with an appointment, unprofessional staff, broke my key fob and customer service keeps saying "oh you'll hear back in 24 hours" and then when I call the next day they move it another 24 hours. I could say more but I am so over this. Just go anywhere else. Edit: I reached out and got the run around for a few weeks, then I was ghosted via email. Absolutely ridiculous with no sign of resolution in sight. Avoid like the plague.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Pep Boys Store #6678 and now with the company as a whole. I had an early a.m. appointment to replace one tire, install a light, and inspect my emergency brake/brakes. I sat in the waiting area for nearly six hours with no updates, and by the end of the day was told my brakes couldn’t even be addressed because there wasn’t enough time—despite being told to come early specifically for that reason (brakes were the main area of concern). This was an entire day of waiting in a room with no updates, just for them to install one tire and a fog light that I already provided to them. This cost was around $350. I gave them another chance a few days later, arriving again at an early am scheduled appointment. I left this time and did not want to wait due to my poor experience the time before. My car sat all day, and I never received a call letting me know it was ready. When I followed up the next day, there was no apology, and I was simply told someone should have called me yesterday, my car had been ready. The cost to "repair" my emergency brake (they mentioned something with rotors as well) and replace one more tire was around $650. After spending almost $1,000 and my breaks still squeaking to this day, which was part of the issue to be addressed, I am extremely disappointed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care has been incredibly frustrating. I even reached out to Pep Boys customer service afterward and haven’t heard anything back in over a month. At this point, I’m not just disappointed in this store—but in the company as a whole.

Posting for young women! Beware! I brought my car here for a state inspection and was told I failed and needed to have $440 dollars of work done. This seemed very suspicious so I took it somewhere else and not only passed but was shown the exact parts of concern and was told that they were in amazing condition for the cars mileage.

Great service, but quite expensive for what you're getting. Tire replacement isn't too pricey, but regular maintenance work like oil changes (mine was $90) or wheel alignment (mine was $125) are outrageously expensive. The first time I got my car serviced a few of these maintenance charges were complimentary - and I really can't complain about the quality of their work. That being said, you're still going to be better off spending your money somewhere else.

Please beware of the Pepboys location on Western Blvd. I was quoted a price for a service and upon picking up my vehicle, I didnt receive what I paid for only back brakes and battery. In addition, I started to hear a weird noise from my left passenger tire. Noticed that one of my lugnuts was missing. I informed the shop about it and was told that 1 missing lugnut was not important. After inspection from a mechanic, all the lugnuts on that tire were loose! I called corporate office over a week ago and have not received a call back. I am BIG on customer service and this was disappointing. Never going back....

This review is a long time in coming, but I needed to post it. I ended up with a screw in my tire after the Thanksgiving holiday. As luck would have it, it was in the evening. I managed to get into this location, but was told that it was likely too late for them to do anything. All I asked was if they could check to make sure I would make it home safe under the hope I could bring it in the next day. They checked and for sure I would not have made it home safe and sound. Then, they took care of me and my tire anyway. They did not have to as it was an hour before their close time. It took them a half an hour to work their magic. It was a holiday and at night. As a single female, that right there meant the world to me. I'm beyond grateful they took the time to do that and would highly recommend this location for their customer service. Thank you so much for making sure I made it back to my family that night.
