I went to have a crank case and crank shaft re done he sold me the wrong size rings causing oil burning and in less that 1000 miles the bearings he sold me gave out because of them not being sized correct this guy and his shop obviously don’t know how to measure stay away for engine machine work .

They were awesome, super nice people and the pricing wow AMAZING, they don’t overcharged for labor like a lot of mechanic shops, just make sure to make an appointment you’ll get your car faster is kind of common sense I know but some people mmm well... lol

Last I heard over a year ago by James son that his dad doesn't rebuild engines anymore and Derrick Jackson comments on here 3 weeks ago says hes taking his other engine back to rebuild?? Hello really? James son refers me to a mexican mechanic on coors aidens who charges way too much labor and lacks the respect of just talking in his native language about everything thats being said about any vehicle hes working on and I dont know mexican languagel. I was hoping to have Mr James be my mechanic he is really professional and helpful when you walk into the door. It would sure be helpful if Performance Co. could list the repairs that they do work on. Its so hard finding a honest mechanic!

James at Performance Connection did an excellent job rebuilding my rare 1956 Dodge Poly engine. He helped secure rare parts for the engine, did extra work to complete the job without charging me for the labor, and kept me apprised of the progress. The finished product was excellent and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Performance Connection for any engine rebuild/assembly!

James is a personable guy and willing to assist. However, I have been disappointed with the long block he built me. I believe his machine work is spot on. However, I never made it out of my driveway before I had to replace the oil pan rear seal, main seal, and both valve cover gaskets. They leaked from the first start. If the engine would not have been installed I would have returned it.

Met James and his son about a year ago when I was in the market for a LS engine. Immediately when I met James he was very welcoming. The more we spoke, the more I got to know him and his experience with working on cars and engines. I’ve used one engine builder for over 15 yrs with no issues, so it was hard for me to trust someone else to build an engine for me, especially when it was an engine that was going to be pushing high horsepower under boost application. The price that James quoted me included the build, and the price was very reasonable so I went for it. I have driven the car a little over 1000 miles now and I got to say, I am very please with the quality and workmanship they provided to me. Since then I have purchase additional engines from them and the machine work has been good. No issues. They have many years of experience, lots of parts and engine cores, pricing is very competitive, positive attitudes and great stories. Feels like family. I highly recommend this company. Jaime
