I’ve been going to Philips for several years and I’ve never had a bad experience, and have saved money on repairs each visit. The shop is never too busy and you can make and appointment. I had the most amazing experience at this auto shop! I was greeted with warmth and expertise. My van was having a sudden mysterious starting problem. I took it in after replacing the battery failed. He said he would look at it and call me back. The very next day he called and informed me that the men who had installed the battery had not attached some of the wires correctly and that was the most likely the only problem. He was gracious and told me to drive it around, after he had tested it that morning, and see if it had any more issues to spare me the cost of any labor or parts. He told me to come back anytime, and with that I again had a working van free of charge! I was so thankful for an honest dependable mechanic who started with simple fixes and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. I will definitely be going here for all future car needs!!!!

Edit 6/24: had front and rear collision work done this month at Philips. Work was completed within time and money estimate, which were both reasonable, a loaner was provided. Very happy with the end result and clear communication provided throughout. I continue to recommend them. Old review: These guys are now my go to mechanics and inspectors. Had a couple problems with an AutoZone battery, these guys identified the issue and fixed it in minutes as a courtesy. Excellent service, highly recommended.

OK, here is a hidden gem that I didn't even know about.I got referred by one of my friends.This is one of the best places I've ever gone to for car.Repair super frair prices and explain everything to you.. I introduced myself to both the owner and the mechanic. I think that makes a difference and they took care of me really, really well. I felt safe and valued and as an older woman, I think that's very important I will come back here a million times and I recommend it to anybody who's feeling hesitant about meeting a mechanic, especially if you are an older. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at this establishment. My vehicle was misdiagnosed, and I was nearly charged a substantial amount for an unnecessary repair. Despite explaining my financial constraints, the mechanic insisted on replacing the alternator, an expense exceeding $680. Subsequent inspections by four other mechanics and my insurance company revealed that the alternator was fully functional, and the actual problem was a faulty battery, which was also incompatible with my vehicle. Furthermore, the mechanic suggested additional unverified issues and recommended unnecessary repairs. I felt my concerns were disregarded, and I was treated as a financial opportunity rather than a valued customer. By seeking multiple professional opinions, I was able to save thousands of dollars, and my vehicle has since been properly repaired. I strongly advise anyone considering this shop to seek several additional professional opinions before proceeding with any recommended services. This is just my opinion and experience, though yours may be different, so I'm not saying don't go, just double check.

I am so grateful my brother showed me Mr. Phillip's shop, because it is hard to find trustworthy and reliable service. My car had a lot of unexpected issues, but thankfully Mr. Phillip and his team looked into it and fixed my car. Everyone is so nice and I enjoyed speaking with them a lot. A man of God, doing God's work. I recommend anyone in the Mesquite/DFW area to come to this shop! 10/10 service for sure :)
