Initially was told it was a one day install and the price would be $1700-$1900 and they were very familiar with what I wanted. It took two full days and final price was $2145. I will let you draw your own conclusions.

I had these guys do governor springs on my truck. It slipped timing almost immediately after leaving their shop because they didn’t secure the lock nut properly. Then, rather than calling a tow truck, they put a chain around the front frame crossmember to pull the truck back to their shop. This ripped the front frame crossmember in half. Then, instead of fixing that properly, it appears they had a blind child attempt to weld it back together. On the other hand, they did sell me on an airdog lift pump which… has failed multiple times, leaving the truck on the side of the road. I would hire them to maintain the vehicles of an enemy army. Edit: I’m glad they confirmed the date they worked on the truck. Here’s a photo, with date, showing the freshly “repaired” damage to the frame crossmember. I took this photo after they drove the truck back to my place, said “oh yeah we fixed the frame,” then jumped in another truck and drove off quickly before I even got underneath to look. Everything I said above is 100% accurate, it is no surprise they are trying to disclaim responsibility. There were two invoices, one for insurance work (the one they mentioned) and another for the performance “upgrades”.

Had them install some Banks stuff on my 21' Cummins. Great communication and when there was a couple small issues with the Banks kits Tim stayed late after everyone was gone and the shop was closed to get it right that night. Definitely recommend.

Amazing shop and I can't recommend them enough. I had a shop local to me replace the turbo in my 6.7 Cummins. That new turbo blew 500 miles from home on a trip into AZ. Took it to Poor Boys Diesel and saw Tim, he worked with my local shop, replaced the turbo and fixed the exhaust system and got me back on the road in a couple days. They coordinated payment with my shop and I didn't have to pay a dime. Tim is a super good dude and the shop's communication was excellent. Can't recommend them enough.

They did a Cummins swap & transmission upgrade, on my 2006 f550 Earthroamer. If you’ve ever looked under the hood in and Earthroamer you would know there are tons of mods and additional features on this truck. It was a huge complicated job, they did an amazing job, I had To go back a couple times, which I fully expected. There was no bitching they just handled it. Tim the owner is very fair in pricing, he was super cool and allowed me to do a few things I wanted To take care of in the camper side while it was there. I have Nothing at all bad to say. I would Definitely use this shop again for any more work.

EXCELENT experience! Knowledgable technicians and flawless work on my 2022 Ram 3500. 1/15/26 Brought her back in for additional upgrades. EGT sensor, cold air intake, and transmission flush and added tranny cooler by-pass valve. I’ve been an aircraft technician for over 40 years and I know what “ attention to detail” requires. I would not hesitate to recommend PBD for ANY job, big or small and the best part is knowing the job is going to be done right the first time.
