If your thinking about renting a uhaul truck choose another location this place will fail you and literally leave you out in the cold 34° waited 45 mins to no answer to any of my calls or any call back and now uhaul is sending me pick up another truck on Rigby 6 Miles away I ubered here by the way now I have uber to that location what a Friday thanks uhaul and the owner of this place thanks for the call back.

I had been dreading having to go through yet another Texas summer with no AC as it had run dry last year when we arrived from Hawaii and decided to check around on Craigslist and FB marketplace for costs. A lot were advertising$75-120 and we're working out of their home garage so when I saw Proactive on FB quoting$25-35 I messaged and gave them my car make and model and they said $35 and it would take 40 minutes. I was sceptical and asked point blank why so low when everyone else was charging this much? The response was, "Actually, they are overcharging and that's Why they are working out of their home garage. " I was pleased with his honesty and went in. 40 minutes later, I had an ice cold car AC system and wasn't fleeced. They are courteous, friendly and professional. You won't find a more honest person.

Went in for a tune up and let me know my belt tensioner was also messed up. Glad to know they look at everything that can be going wrong with your car. Price and how quick it was done is a plus. Will be bringing my cars back!

Good and clear communication about pricing. Offered to order the breaks for me at a cheaper price. The breaks where there same day, a couple hrs later. Installed them fast and made sure they were working properly. Highly recommend.

Super professional mechanics. Rented a uhaul from them a while back which was also a good experience. Just bought a new vehicle and wouldn’t start, feared it was my starter going out. Was prepared to spend a decent amount on that to get done but after they took a look at it, they decided try to see if it was something they could mess with. Tony ended up figuring out what was causing the issues. Wasn’t the starter. Saved me hundreds and probably more since what was really occurring would have kept happening. Locally owned from the area, ethical, professional. My mechanics moving forward.

My heater hose on my truck broke off and my attempt to remove the connector off the firewall connection was not successful. Not enough room for me to get a grip on the connector to remove, very tight space. I ended up having to tow my truck to Proactive Automotive Repair shop based on a recommendation due to not being from San Antonio. They took care of my repair and had me back on the road in no time. Very reasonable repair costs as well. Will definitely use them again if needed. Thank you Proactive!

My experience with the shop has been beyond wonderful, I had transmission issues that no other mechanic could figure out and when they towed my vehicle to Proactive Auto Frank took such great care of my car. I recently had the pleasure of working with Frank, who went above and beyond to repair my vehicle. The engine needed to be replaced on my BMW X1, and it now drives better than any car I’ve had. Not only did Frank update me throughout the entire process, but he was also extremely knowledgeable about the damage to my car and was able to swap out the engine within a short time. I am so grateful for the transparency and frequent communication, as some mechanical repairs can be confusing. I also felt confident that my car was going to be well taken care of while at Proactive Automotive. I would highly recommend Frank as an honest and trustworthy mechanic and Proactive Automotive for any vehicle repairs. I’m updating my review because after my car was worked on here my car kept giving me issues. My car recently broke down again so I took my car to a different shop. The new mechanic is now telling me that all of my bolts were loose, my ABS sensor (which was, “fixed”) still doesn’t work, and car parts were rubbing against my tire. My experience started off well and I wish it had continued that way.

At first this shop was very on top of it with communication and explaining what was going on with the vehicle we had brought in, soon it turned into a run around experience. Unfortunately after getting our vehicle “fixed” here we ended up having to take it to another shop which then informed us that not only was the vehicle not fixed properly, they had neglected to properly fasten the bolts back on the vehicle. Overall a bad experience and money wasted, highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

CADILLAC CTS 2.0T 2015 Spent almost 9k and the shop owner did me dirty. 3 MONTH WARRANTY ON A ENGINE BULD IS RIDICULOUS. They also took a year and some to give me the car back. Till this day I had issues with my tune, engine compression, and oil leaks that I didn't see. I have convos where the owner clearly dont care about it, blaming it on an internal conflict. Im not gonna get into the details BUT NEVER WILL I GO AGAIN NOR WISH THIS ON ANYONE. You been warned; hopefully before you have them work on your vehicle. Additionally, they halfa$$ the job, missing and loose bolts found all over. Sad fr.
