Excellent service center. Shout out to Luis for being an attentive and knowledgeable rep! Iβve moved around the Bay Area a fair bit and this is the best Toyota service center Iβve experienced.

Best Toyota service dealership in the area. One phone call to take care of a nagging problem, and it was fixed the same day. Thanks to Luis, the best and most professional service manager π

They charged $200 for diagnostics for a non-functioning speaker to conclude after many hours that my spouse (or a toddler) accidentally set the speaker balance on a dashboard to the right speaker only (I had no idea one can even do that, thought it can be done only back and front). So needless to say, I'll not be returning to this location, clear example of short-term gain, long-term loss thinking.

Bad!! I made a engine oil change appointment for my Lexus vehicle and got the confirmation. When i got there for the engine oil, they said they donβt do engine oil change for Lexus. ( youβd better let me know before confirming the appointment ) And, they said the parts are different. Damn. They didnβt know what they talked about. The engine oil filter and oil pan washer for certain model ( like my car model ) are shared between Toyota and Lexus. Even the part numbers are same. Not sure, why i keep getting these bad experiences with the service center run by Putnam.

I took my Rav4 in for a routine maintenance and some additional service work. The agent that met me was very detailed with an explanation of the different service components and the cost of each. During the service, when they identified another issue (which I already knew about, but didn't mention), they gave me a fair cost estimate and didn't charge me for the labor. They completed the service in the agreed time frame with no surprises. I'm very happy with the service and the overall bill was less than other Toyota service centers that I've been to. I will definitely use them again.

I guess you don't know good things until they're gone. I recently changed my Toyota for another car make and now I realize how easy the routine maintenance service was at this location. I've always been able to schedule an appointment online for early on a Saturday and pick the car back later on the day. Everyone was very friendly and the process was very easy.

I made an appointment and showed up on time for routine maintenance. They quoted me two hours which was long, but fine. After two and a half hours still no call, no text. I go back to the dealership. They haven't even started on my car. They ask me to wait 30 minutes and they'll get it done. Thirty minutes turns into another hour and half. Overall a four hour ordeal that disrupted my whole day and the time I took off work to get this done. Extremely unprofessional. Other customers were literally napping in the waiting room because they were so backlogged and slow. Take the extra time to drive to SF Toyota or any other dealership that values your time.

Putnamβs Service used to be great , now theyβre subpar. Iβm a Toyota believer β I own four of them and am extremely happy with their performance, but something has changed in the Service arena. For one thing, they hired a new Service Wrangler, that really doesnβt care about YOU, the actual customer. Instead, heβs (yes, heβs a male) is under the Toyota corporate spell. My adviceβ Run. There are plenty of other Toyota services available at a FRACTION of the priceβ¦.

I brought in my Corolla for suspension repairs and was quoted about $1,700 for struts, which later increased to over $2,100 after a video showed βdamage.β I ended up paying $4,200 total for a tune-up, spark plugs, coolant flush, oil leak repair, and struts, which feels extremely overpriced for a 2013 Corolla. I also was charged a 2% credit card fee on top of that, adding another $85. The staff was polite and the work seems to be done correctly, but I felt pressured to approve everything quickly and left feeling scammed. I will not return and cannot recommend them due to lack of pricing transparency and excessive charges.

This place is absolutely terrible! Incompetent and no respect for customers time. Carlos the service manager is totally out of touch offering me a HUGE discount of $75 after Iβve had to bring my vehicle back not once, not twice but a total of 4 times. Every time Iβve brought my vehicle in for service a simple oil change, tire rotation etc. I have had to bring it back a week or 2 later because the maintenance notification would activate. I would call Putnam Toyota service to ask whatβs going on they say itβs because they forgot to reset the maintenance notification. After the first time it happened I was totally fine with it, people make mistakes. The second time, I was a little bit more concerned so I checked under hood to discover that they didnβt even secure the caps for the washer fluid, another pink fluid reservoir thing was left with the cap dangling and the oil dipstick was sticking out a couple of inches. I was curious to see if they even did anything. I brought it back expecting some kind of apology but the guy that greeted me at the service reception said this happens a lot just wait around and weβll reset the system. It only took about 20 minutes but this is now the second time Iβve had to take hours out of my day to bring the vehicle back for something thatβs so basic and routine. The third time was worse because not only did it happen again! Iβve had to spend even more of my valuable time during the holidays going back and forth to Putnam Toyota Service because no service manager would be able to address the issue. So sad how this Toyota service center canβt even perform a simple oil change.

Putnam Toyota Service is to be avoided at all costs. Prior to my most recent experience, I have taken my cars here for years with reasonable satisfaction. Things have dramatically changed as of June 2025. This most recent experience was beyond horrible and I will never use them again. Among the issues experienced: - They never provided any paperwork when I dropped the car off for regular maintenance with a listing of the work to be done and with an estimated cost - They replaced the brake pads and rotors after obtaining verbal phone approval but charged $1,600 for this service - The final bill was for over $2,200 when my wife picked up the car, but the final bill contained no typical recap of the actual services provided. The bill was simply a list of detailed coded charges that provided no real explanation of actual services provided. I have no idea what work they performed. - I followed up twice by phone with the "service technician" who simply provided the same paperwork by email that was useless. He clearly couldn't care less about his customers. - Follow up calls to the "Service Manager" were never returned. - BTW, the listed mileage of the car on the service paperwork was almost 1,000 miles off of the actual odometer. Sloppy and lazy, at best. Stay far away from these, at best, inept folks. I am truly becoming of the belief that they are criminal and beyond being simply inept.

Went for routine service, it was good. However they forgot to complete one item so had to go again. Charges 2% extra for credit card usage - why knocked off two stars. I mean car dealers make a lot of money. The 10 year service not cheap - about $1800. To scramble around taking 2% on customers for credit card is outright shameful.

I have come a few times for routine maintenance. They were all well done and pretty quick. I came on early morning, so there was no wait time. My only complaints are: 1. They don't sync with Carfax. 2. The parking lot can be very difficult to navigate if you are not a skilled driver or if you don't have a 360 camera. Fortunately, the service advisor, Jesus, was kind enough to help me get out of the parking lot.

I wish I would have checked here first but this is the closest Toyota dealer to my home so I had continued to go there. Last service visit they took my car in and by 6:00 p.m. at closing they didn't even call me back. I'm not exaggerating, they totally forgot. Instead of waiting in the dark for another 24 hours until Monday morning, I drove down there last minute in my other car and it took some time (30 mins?) for them to even find my car. No paperwork and my car was filthy with fingerprints and still stuck in service mode when returned to me. Service manager called me and offered me a car wash and fill up with gas - Um, no thanks, you've completely lost my trust. They mailed my paperwork to me but I notice on it that they added some weird characters to my actual email so it doesn't even match. Apparently they don't want to send a review to my real email, which, is on file with Toyota several times so no need to put a fake wrong one on the form. There are tenured people at this dealership who know what they're doing, but if it's at the end of a day on a Saturday, you might not be dealing with one of them. Lots of excuses/diminishment from the service manager when he texted first then called. Do better. After all, it's Toyota we're talking about.

This was my first visit to Putnam Toyota. I have a 2007 4RUNNER with 153K miles and it will easily go to 300K. I've been meticulous about keeping up with necessary maintenance over the years, and have relied heavily on dealerships' service centers to provide reliable, professional guidance. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. I've found a trusted service writer, now Assistant Service Manager, that I have developed a trusted relationship with over the years. His name is Chris Abernathy and he's working at Putnam Toyota. His advice is always knowledgeable, detailed, and fair. There is no push to do work that doesn't need to be done. If there are concerns on the horizon, we discuss those and note them for next time. As mentioned, this was my first visit to Putnam, but I can state that it's clear that the culture there supports that approach to their customers. Shop clean. Communication excellent. Expectations met! I live in San Francisco, but I will happily make the treck out to Burlingame when I need service! If you go, ask for Chris A. You won't regret it!
