My friends and I were from out of town and our car broke down. The mechanic did a diagnostic at a reasonable price, but forgot to call us when the diagnostic was done. This was on a Friday, and he had the car for over half the day, so by the time we got ahold of him, it was too late to take it elsewhere before the weekend started. After sorting out the car's warranty with the dealer over the weekend, we reached out and Ray's said they could repair it starting on Monday. We took the car for them to begin working on repairs, and then after holding the car for two hours, they told us they would not work on the car. I respect their decision to not work on the car, but they wasted almost a day of our time, which is unfortunate since we were only in town for 5 days. I wasn't impressed with their communication or timeliness. I'd avoid this place.

I was in a pinch and had to get my daughter back to college in las cruses, I had heard about ray’s at a local auto parts store in Albuquerque I went and talked to ray and he got my daughters car in right away!! They found the problem and fixed within a couple of hours!! Very honest and very reasonable in pricing!! Would absolutely recommend Ray’s to anyone needing work done on their vehicles!!!!!

Good clutch job on Subaru. Got the same estimate from all over town but they were able to tell me the different prices based on what they saw once they looked under the hood. They charged me the cheapest price quoted. Good to deal with an honest mechanic. Sucks that other guy got his wallet stolen. Good thing Rays is not a bank or private detective. I'd trust them with my car though.

We were just traveling through Albuquerque and had a wheel bearing go out. I was thinking about doing it myself and just buying a part at the nearest auto parts store. The auto parts store is about $229 for the part. But I decided to call up Rey since he had good reviews. He was able to get the part for cheaper and only took them an hour. Is the hourly rates are super affordable at $95 an hour. It was super friendly had us in first thing in the morning and out right away. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

The guys at Ray's do good, honest work. My water pump went out passing through Albuquerque on my way home to Denver. I booked a hotel and had my car towed to Ray's Automotive the very next morning and they handled the repairs same day in less than 3 hours. Can't recommend these guys enough!

Traveling from California to Texas, I woke up at 4:00 am my car would not start. I had my car towed to Rays. At 9 am, I was stuck my Airbnb was already booked by another for the next two nights. I had no place to go. Ray listen to my problem and took the time to quickly look at my car. Turns out my floor mat was keeping the clutch from engaging. He was kind and professional, in a very stressful situation. Nothing wrong with the car. He sent me safely on my way. Thank you Ray for listening and getting me back on the road!

Honest, hardworking, kind, and amazing local shop in the South Broadway neighborhood. You really can't find a better shop! I highly recommend these folks as they charge lower rates than other shops and they work fast! (My car had a laundry list of work including strut four replacements, fluid changes, and fixing a power steering pump). It took only five hours. I had my car back the same day! This is the shop I recommend for busy people!

They could not figure out what was wrong with my car. It took them a week of looking and never called to update me, so when I went over there to pick my car up then ray tells me it's a head gasket and he can not do the job. Then he charged me $200 dollars to get my car back. Very very poor service

My wife and I have gone to Ray's a long time and they have always done excellent work and Ray was always nice and an all around good guy. Normally, I would give 5 stars, but after recent interactions, I can't do that. I'm not sure what's going on with Ray himself because we haven't spoken with him. The last few times we've called, someone else has gotten on the phone. Most of the time we end up getting no one, leave messages, and we are never called back. Today, I called to get an estimate on replacing the air suspension in my car, which they have done for me before. I was told I would have to bring the car in, so I asked about bringing it in. I was then told to get a 2nd opinion by calling Amodor Brothers. First, I didn't get an "opinion" in the first place. Second, if he didn't want my business he could have just said. If they were full right now, he could have just said. Whatever the case, I called Amador Bros who told me they won't touch my car, because of age, among other things. I respect them for at least being honest and upfront with me. Again, I didn't speak to Ray himself and I hope he's okay, but whatever's going on, it doesn't seem good.

I used Ray’s this week for a vehicle repair. Dropped the car off Monday and it was repaired by Wednesday. Even having to special order the part, right before a holiday, Rays was able to have an extremely fast turnaround. Price was fair and way cheaper than I was expecting. Debris on I-40 ripped a hole in my transmission fluid pan. Was able to make it to our hotel. Called Ray's the next morning hoping to get help as they were not far away. Gilbert answered and said bring it in. Car lost enough fluid it was starting to struggle to shift gears in the 2.5 miles to get to the shop. Knowing my situation in needing to get home to AZ, they took it in and started working on it. They took the pan off, knocked the dent out and welded the hole to seal it. Ray went off to get the special Toyota transmission fluid it called for while Gilbert fixed the pan and inspected for other damage and issues. They had me out of there before our check out time at the hotel. The price was more than reasonable for the quick Monday morning service. And I enjoyed chatting with Ray while I waited. Just love finding a Mom and Pop shop making their neighborhood a better place.

Thank you for the water pump kit change and everything else you have done. The car runs very well. Wish I noticed the front lights were out but my fault for not testing them at night. The car has been non-operational for months so much else was wrong with it. Also, thanks for letting my dad pay by phone. I really appreciate the hard work you put into the car. Runs great!!
