Dishonest and disingenuous mechanics! These guys are certain to rip you off. Went in to get a starter done, and they decide to upcharge me 200 dollars for the lowest quality starter available. The part was 84 dollars, and they basically charged me 300 for the part alone. This is a for a late 90's domestic. Sad place. Only came here because people recommended it. I have traveled the country, and very rarely I come across a show this scummy.

Highly recommend!! I've always been intimidated by car shops but at Redmond's, you'll feel respected and cared for while being educated from the start! I really appreciated how kind and patient Eric was as he explained why my engine & traction control lights could be on and what parts are affected. The entire team was so welcoming and detail oriented. When I picked up my car, they even protected my seat & carpet from mud! Thank you all! Already recommending you to as many as I can!

We had car trouble down from a very long road trip to south carolina. We arrived without an appointment and the team at redmonds immediately took care of us and went above and beyond to find the problem, fix the problem, and made us feel at home while we waited. I would recommend everyone who needs any mechanical car service to go here. What an amazing team, they are honest reasonable and most of all explain every option and educate you thru the process. Staff is great, but the guy at the front desk is very condescending and talks down to me every time I speak to him. Took them 3 days to put tires on my car. When I pick it up, they’ve put the wrong tires in the wrong size after refusing to quote me on four specific sets before I settled on one he suggested. When I told them they had put the dead wrong tires on my car all he had to say was I would “like them better anyway”.

Amazing service. They helped me when my car died in an extremely tight parking lot. My parents are in PA so I didn’t have anyone to help and they made it so easy. The tow even gave me a ride back to my apartment and was so kind. They fairly priced us to fix the small issue and got my car back to me same day. The self service lock boxes are great. Overall great customer service and quality. If you’re a college student, or really anyone, I recommend Redmonds

I cannot explain how great these guys are at Redmond’s auto. My family and I have had multiple cars serviced there and other places have quoted us way higher than why should have been. We have had multiple jeeps serviced with them and they are always very upfront with us about the issue and what the cost should be. They don’t nickel and dime you here and are knowledgeable on issues associated with certain vehicles. I’ve called multiple times the day of an issue and they have been able to work with me and fit me in to make sure we are taken care of. As long as I live in Columbia I won’t be going anywhere other than Redmond’s. Thank you to all the guys at Redmond’s and for their services.

Redmond’s is awesome! Whenever I have any issues with my car I’ll walk in and they squeeze me in as fast as possible, which is always impressively quick. I drive an ‘04 Mustang that’s ALWAYS got something wrong with it and without fail, they always get it diagnosed and repaired faster than any other shop I’ve been to. Seriously, this car was on its last leg for a while and now it runs perfectly. I had my car sitting in the shop down the street for almost 2.5 months without any progress and no one could tell me what was wrong with it. So I had it moved to Redmond’s and they literally pinpointed the issue, found the part that Ford discontinued years ago, and got it back to me, all within maybe like 3 days max. If they find other issues, they always reach out immediately with options while also being honest about whether or not it’s a crucial repair. They’re all super transparent and professional. Prices are fair and the customer service is so much better than the other places. I always recommend Redmond’s whenever someone has any car issues.

Was at this establishment regularly for about 3 weeks & in that time realized this shop is led by a tyrant. One who tries to force his techs to believe shocks can't cause tire wear, or that red dots on new tires shouldn't be lined up to the valve stem.. Each of which are easily verifiable with a quick Google. So not only was I berated or treated less than for my knowledge , cody would also mis lead his customers as well with this line of thinking. Its okay to be wrong , its not okay to be wrong & not hold yourself accountable. The owners Jerry & his wife aren't much better. They did treat me with respect yet when I addressed the issue they stated verbatim ( its just how he is ) so no accountability on all fronts. If you promote free & logical thinking as well as a willingness to learn new things & a humility for others then maybe this isnt the place for you. Its easy to play a customer to get a sale. I guess its hard to be genuine , authentic & honest.

I’m an out of state parent with a daughter at UofSC. She had a light on her dashboard about tire pressure. We had just replaced a tire 2 weeks ago. I told her to go to Redmond’s since they have had amazing reviews on UofSC parents page. She stopped in unexpectedly and said they will look at her tire. All was good. I’m just happy that my daughter was able to have someone look at her & nothing was wrong. As an out of state parent it’s reassuring she’s ok driving her car. Thank you!

I got an appointment with Redmond’s the same week that I called. They did oil change, tire rotation, and transmission service. The mechanic heard a noise on the front side of my car. Redmond’s let me know cost of repair upfront. They resolved issue & updated me on services that need to be done in the future. Great customer service.
