Times may be tough for small businesses, but,I was given an $1125 quote to fix a brass radiator. Ended up buy a new “BRASS” radiator for under $300. That’s tax and expedited shipping total. Being the only Radiator shop doesn’t justify price gouging

I have lived in Redding for 30 years and I have been a mechanic for even longer and when it comes to radiators especially custom radiators he has done it and it's my opinion they are the best for price quality reliability and time period

I was in a bind, They got going found out my water pump went bad, got the part put it in and was back on the road in 4 hours. Since I have a F150 I went to the dealer first They had no time for me, didnt even look under the hood. I'm so greatful for Rod's plus I'm pretty sure I paid l 4x's less. I am very thankful greatful.

Had leaks starting. Knew it had to be replaced. Checked out radiators locally and online planning on installing myself. Went to Rod's and he installed a rebuilt unit for less than my part price. While at it, they noticed a bad vacuum line for heater and fixed that for free. Years later cooling system is still good.

These guys were awesome. We were from out of town. Diesel overheating so I called them. They had us swing by, diagnosed it, and fixed it within 2 hours. Got us back on the road in a hurry. Such a lifesaver and their prices were more than reasonable. THANK YOU!!!!

I replaced my radiator with these guys it was the price I expected and all seemed good until about 1 month later I got a bad radiator leak again so I called them and had to go back multiple times until they finally changed a plug that they should have replaced the first time I went. It’s still been leaking and when I brought it in a guy came out using his phone flash light looked in there for less then a minute and said he didn’t see a leak and my car wasn’t over heating so it’s fine. Well I had a mechanic friend look at my car and he said they didn’t put things back on correctly and that it basically looked like they threw it in carelessly so it wouldn’t fall out and called it good. I will never be going here again I don’t have enough money to be throwing it away on people that don’t do their jobs correctly the first time.

This place has outstanding customer service. We were headed to Oregon Dunes when our friend began to have some over heating issues with his truck. After replacing his termastat and again back on the road he still was experiencing problems. We wanted to rule out possible radiator issue so gave Rod’s a call of which we were told to come in. As soon as we arrived Rod started looking at his truck and blew out the radiator and did a couple other things. He gave us peace of mind to continue our trip up the mountains and that he didn’t think we’d have anymore problems and he was right. We SO APPRECIATED him looking at the truck that was pulling a cab over camper and a side by side without a wait and we continued our vacation and made it safely to Florence, OR and back home safely.

Outstanding customer service. They are the best U-Haul dealer in town. So easy to work with and since they are a small family business, you get personal service and they are a long time local Redding family so their word means something. I got to talking with the owner and he has a ton of connections and customers and has worked on radiators big and small.

This is a fantastic family operated business - we lost our radiator on Mt Shasta on a 112 degree Friday afternoon while traveling with a camper from Oregon to Sacramento area. We called around and no one would help. A tow truck driver even ignored my wave for assistance. We called Rod’s and they were happy to help! As we limped in, stopping to add water on the mountain, they called while we were still en route and checked in with us and said they had our radiator and were waiting for us to arrive with two technicians. We arrived at 3:50 and were done by 4:40! They had the new radiator installed in 40 minutes! Super friendly and competent! When we googled the going prices for the work done, they charged us about half what dealers charge. (By the way, the Redding Chevrolet dealership didn’t want to help and all I got was text). Update - unfortunately, I spoke too soon! Exactly one year and less than two weeks later, we made the same trip and found ourselves in the side of the road with a blown radiator. We made it to another shop in Weed, Ca. And found that they had pinched the hose intake and the radiator created too much pressure and sprung leaks all over. I called and explained and sent pictures of the error in installation (provided by the repair shop) but because the warranty was up by a week, they refused to honor the warranty or help recover any costs. They didn’t care that their faulty installation left us stranded on I-5. Guess their service is only skin deep afterall. Granted they were there when we needed them and we were (and are) appreciative. But they didn’t back their work.

They squeezed me in with a busy schedule and got my truck's radiator replaced within 4 to 5 hours. You can tell they work hard and are honest people. Price was affordable even in this rough economy, and I much rather do business with the local community than a corporate service.

Highly recommend! I had a hard time finding anyone to help with my Tesla Model S radiator. Went to Rod's Radiator and 15 minutes later, repaired it for me! Everyone else said i needed to buy a new one, that there garbage. With Tesla, you could wait three months to get your part. Forget that, go to Rod's, hands down the best in town!

This place is amazing! They are so helpful and have a lot of integrity, which is a great quality to have at an auto shop. If you want a place that is friendly, honest, and also supports veterans you should support this local gem.
