If you're mechanically inclined, he's the type that you can call and tell him what problems your car is having, and he will give you a list of things it might be so you can try and fix it yourself and save some money. I will not take my car to anyone else.

I cannot imagine taking my vehicles anywhere else. Extremely competent, thorough and trustworthy are at the top of Russiff Auto's traits. They have diagnosed my car over the phone with only a thank you, shown me damaged parts that were replaced and told me when what I thought was a problem was not or could be held off from repairing for a while. Hard to find someone who provides service like that in any business.

James at Russiff's Auto has been servicing my family's vehicles for years and besides being a brilliant mechanic is fair, honest and truly cares about the well-being of his customers. It's below zero outside and I was in trouble with a problem with my car door - James took the time to diagnose the issue and guide me to a solution over the phone. Whenever I take my car in for maintenance or repair, he takes care of everything that needs attention - being proactive with safety concerns - and is very reasonable with his prices. You will not find a better or more trustworthy mechanic anywhere.

Truly the best price in town, and he's very honest! I had Toyota tell me that I needed a new head gasket, which would have been $1,200 at the time. I went there and he looked at it and he told me it didn't need to be done. Another time Midas told me I needed something done, and he looked at it and told me one of the three things they said I needed done, did not need to be done. Both times I was ready to pay for it. You always does a great job also. Been going here for about 10 years now, perhaps longer! Would not go anywhere else!

I have been fortunate to have been a regualr customer of James and Sherry Hoban for almost 25 years. James is a remarkably competent mechanic and one of the most trustworthy and honest persons I know. Even after all these years, I still find his efforts to save his customers money refreshing and remarkable. His biggest drawback is that he is so busy, it can sometimes take a while to get things in to him. That being said, he has many times "squeezed me in" to what is no doubt an already packed work week just to serve my needs. I can recommend him without reservation.

I hate to rate them because I don't want anyone else going there and increasing the wait time! :) James is the most honest, reliable, and thorough mechanic I've ever used, and his wife Sherry is wonderful. If you need a car fixed, and fixed right, go to Russiff. May not be the cheapest, but the best value for your money. And he stands behind the repairs he makes. I've been to him many many times (lots of cars in our family) and I've never had to take a car back to fix a problem he already resolved.

James is amazing. I've never written a review on Google for someone, this explains the gratitude I feel towards him. We were on a road trip to travel the western US. From Colorado, we were facing some issues with the Acura. We still had at least another 5 states to go through. The car being from 2005, I was scared as hell. Went to Acura dealership is Colorado, they shared, if I want to have a peace of mind, it would take around $8,000 to fix everything. But I knew better. Never trust dealerships, since they are into selling anything and everything. Luckily the car held out till Montana. I found him online. To test him, I didn't tell anything but the conditions. He figured everything out and shared that he is confident for my safety and need to only fix few minor things. At the end it just cost me around $230. I was so glad and humbled by his honesty. In this age of fake service to charge cut throat price, his honesty and patience blew me away. Thus this review! Anyone should use him without a second thought!

Incredibly knowledgeable and professional. James always takes extra time to see if your car needs extra/upcoming repairs and takes you into the shop to show you your faulty parts as proof so you know you're not getting tricked. Fair prices and excellent service, not sure how this guy isn't booked a month out at all times.
