Had my BMW here at the shop with Sam. Price was a little high and when I went to pick up the car, the battery was dead. He had left the lights on. He gave me a jump and it made it three blocks down the road. I called him because I was in the middle lane with a dead battery. Had to convince him to drive 3blocks to try and help me. When he got there and it would start told me he couldn’t help me and left me there. BMW batteries are not normal batteries they’re very expensive and have to be programmed. I had to learn the hard way thanks to Sam. Sam if you’re reading this, I need you to take responsibility for this because this is not our fault and the BMW keeps getting low on battery ever since we had it at your shop. Sam’s Auto Care.

All I can say is "No need to guess, just do it!' Gahzi, the owner of Sama Auto Care is extremely knowledgeable about auto repair,auto care, and auto body work. He has repaired several different parts on my Lexus truck. He is now working on restoring my classic Jeep wrangler. I have sent all of my family members to him, including my mom and my hubby for repairs, and body work. I love his upfront transparency about the repairs, and costs and what he says has never come back higher in the end. He has a wonderful character, and a very very sweet Spirit. On July 27th, 2024, I consulted with Sam C. about replacing the AC compressor in my 2004 Honda Accord EX. Sam assured me that if I provided a new compressor, they could perform the replacement without any issues. I specifically asked if they had the necessary equipment, including an evacuation pump, to avoid damaging the new compressor, and whether they had the required licenses. Sam confirmed that they did. I dropped off my car at 9:30 AM that day to begin the service. However, when I returned, I was given conflicting information. First, I was told that the acting mechanic/technician did not complete the job and had left for the day. Then, I was informed that the new compressor had broken and did not hold the Freon. I asked Sam to walk me through the process and to confirm that the proper equipment and licensed personnel were used, but I was not provided with any proof. Sam refused to speak with me directly, instead communicating through his receptionist. The receptionist insisted that I pay before my car keys were returned and could not give me a valid reason why I needed to bring another new compressor after they had damaged the one I provided. I was also told that in order to send the broken compressor back to the company it was purchased from, that I would have to pay them for that removal in addition to what was already paid. Additionally, the packaging for the new compressor, which I needed to exchange it with the original seller, was not returned to me.

I was referred to Sam from a friend. He will not rip you off and will find the best deal for you. He explains to you what going on with your car . The guys that work with him as well are also very helpful in explaining what going on with your car. I remember I was waiting for my car and an elderly lady came in very nervous , because she didn’t know anything about cars and explained she lost her husband who use to handle things with the car . She had lots of questions and was asking advise from the worker and I felt for her. The young man was so patient and helpful to her . I feel as woman we are usually seen as someone to take advantage of when it comes to car repair shops, but at Sam’s Auto you will not be treated that way. I would recommend him to others.

I have a daily commute that goes past Sam's. A few weeks back, as I was driving home from work, my AC died, all my dash lights turned on, and I managed to pull into the repair place a little way down from Sam's just as my car died. Sam's was the only auto shop on the strip that serviced my make and model. With no appointment made in advance, and in 105+ degree weather, Sam not only walked down with me and immediately diagnosed the issue (fried alternator), he got my truck all the way up to his shop for no extra charge. It was ready the following evening, and has been running perfectly ever since. Considering how many cars were in line when I strolled in, I was absolutely blown away with the quick turnaround for a completely unanticipated job. Not only that, but the service was excellent. Sam detailed all of what they had done in the repair in a straightforward, professional manner, and the price was more than reasonable, particularly for such a rush job. He went above and beyond. I will definitely be returning to this place in future.

BEST auto shop I’ve been to in my entire life. I don’t know much about cars but my car had been having quite a few issues that other mechanics did not properly diagnose. Brought my car in to Sam’s Auto Care and got a proper diagnosis for what the main issue with my car was. I was properly informed at every step of the repair process, great communication, and very knowledgeable. My car runs really smooth now and the check engine light has finally gone off after almost 1 year of being on. I would 10/10 recommend this auto repair shop.

Outstanding Service at Sam's Auto Care in Plano, TX I recently had a great experience at Sam Auto in Plano, TX. The owner, Sam, went above and beyond to fix my car, and I'm really thankful for his help. I went to Sam Auto to get an oil change, replace the coolant, and change my tires. But there was a problem - my car needed a special key to remove the tires, and I couldn't find it anywhere. Sam didn't give up. He tried looking for the key at a nearby car dealer in Plano, but they didn't have it. So, he went to another car dealer in Dallas and found the key. He not only changed my tires but also found and fixed a problem with my gas cap that was causing a warning light on my dashboard. What makes Sam special is that he didn't just fix the things I knew about; he also found and fixed other problems with my car that I didn't even know existed. This made sure my car passed the state emissions test. Not many car mechanics would do all of this. I want to say a big thank you to Sam for going the extra mile to fix my car. If you need car help, I highly recommend Sam Auto. They provide excellent service, and I'm now a loyal customer. Thank you, Sam, and your team at Sam Auto, for making my car safe and road-ready again!

⚠️ Serious Concerns About State Inspection at Sam’s Auto Care In September 2024, my wife and I purchased a used vehicle from Hiline Motors that had recently passed a Texas state safety inspection conducted by Sam’s Auto Care. However, we soon discovered serious issues that raised questions about the validity of that inspection. Just weeks earlier, the same vehicle had failed a safety inspection at Mercedes-Benz of Plano due to severely worn tires. There’s no record of repairs being made between the two inspections, yet the car passed inspection at Sam’s. After purchase, we had to replace all four bald tires immediately ($1,857), and mechanics also discovered three cracked wheels. These conditions posed serious safety hazards and should have prevented the vehicle from passing any legitimate inspection. This experience has caused us to question whether Sam’s Auto Care performed a thorough and compliant inspection. We have submitted a formal complaint to the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) and strongly encourage others to get a second opinion when it comes to safety inspections. If you’re considering using Sam’s Auto Care—or purchasing a vehicle from a dealer that uses them—we recommend extra caution and an independent safety review.

I have been a loyal customer of Sam's Auto Care for over two years now, and I couldn't be happier with the services they provide. I can't imagine taking my truck anywhere else. From repairs that no one else could find, to hard to find parts, to lemons I've bought on Facebook, they have been consistently dependable and thorough. They also do more than maintenance and servicing, and we've even talked about doing an engine swap for another truck of mine. They've been upfront with me about the work needed on my vehicles and have worked with me to find solutions that fit within my budget back when money was tight. Sam himself is not only an expert mechanic but also great to work with. The flexibility they have extended to me with scheduling appointments and pick ups has been a lifesaver for me on several occasions. Though I've reached my goal as a diesel mechanic and do some jobs on my own, there are times when I still go to Sam's when it makes sense. It's a satisfying feeling to be able to look under the hood and see they did as promised. I trust him and his team to do the job right and to be fair. I hope nothing but the best for these guys and hope to see them expand and grow! If I could give them more stars, I would. There's a reason they're always busy and it's not the decor, it's the fact they deliver great work time and time again.

I’ve been coming to Sam’s for probably 5 years now. They are polite, friendly, accommodating, dependable, and honest. I usually call ahead of time to see if it’s a good time to come in for service. They get me in and out quickly and they never try to upsell me extra services. If they did say hey I think you should consider doing this extra thing I would believe it was really necessary since they don’t make habit of that. I believe the prices are reasonable as well. Per my recommendation, my mom started bringing her car here, too, and still does even though she moved to Garland.

I brought my BMW to Sam’s Auto Care because it was overheating. They claimed to fix the issue, but when I got my car back the air conditioning didn’t work and the warning light still said the coolant was low — meaning the original problem was never resolved. When I returned about the air issue, they tried to charge me again. I contacted them multiple times, and Sam eventually stopped responding altogether. I also sent an email and never received a reply. I was told the repair would take half a day. Instead, they kept my car for over a week and charged significantly more than what I was originally quoted when I agreed to financing. Shortly after, my check engine light came on and my car has had ongoing problems ever since. Now, only days later, it’s overheating again. As a single mother with one vehicle, this situation has been extremely stressful and unacceptable. I gave them the opportunity to make it right — including sending a formal demand — and they did not. I've been going to Sam's Autocare for years, and I couldn't be more impressed with the consistent, high-quality service I receive every time! From the moment I walk in, the staff is always incredibly friendly and attentive. They take the time to thoroughly explain any issues with my car and provide a detailed breakdown of the repairs needed. The turnaround time is quick, and my car always runs better than ever after a visit. The owner, Sam, is great--he runs an honest business, which is nearly impossible to find in the auto care industry these days. It's clear he genuinely cares about his customers and their vehicles.
