We took my wife's car to be repaired for a noise in the steering. They stated they looked it over and found it was the steering shaft that was bad and that they would have to order the part. They claimed to have put everything back together and that they would call us when the part was in so we could bring it back. When we picked it up my wife backed out of the parking spot and instantly knew something wasn't right. The whole steering column was completely loose. It moved up and down when you turned the wheel. The mechanic swore he had everything tight and didn't want to listen to us until I got angry with him. He then took it back and found that no he didn't have everything tight. We then took it home and it was 10 times worse than it was when we took it to them. We found another shop that had to go in and fix what they did wrong and found that at anytime while my wife was driving it that the steering shaft could have just fallen out. This is a very serious issue. So we have now paid another shop to fix their screw up and now back to the original issue that we took it in for to start with. As well as the issue isn't the steering shaft so would have paid for that and still not had the issue it went in for fixed. I just thank God my wife didn't have a very serious accident and that we found a good shop to go to now. Would never recommend Sam's Place to anyone. I give this place zero stars!

Got to say! I read plenty of bad reviews. But I took it as a grain of salt. I took my car in several times for service and was fine with the work. Never looked under my hood because I didn't have a need to. But make a long story short I wanted to check out where my sensor was located on my car so I popped the hood and the plastic cover that snaps over the engine was cracked all the way across. They did not even try to snap it on,Just sat it on top of the engine and sent me on my way. When I called about it the lady basically accused me of letting someone else do that to my car. Won't be ever going back. Unprofessional at its finest. And it wasn't my engine it was the cover 😂 the owner is very unprofessional look how she responds to other people complaining. She gets in her feelings like her shop does no wrong. And I never complained about my bumper. Yes it wad messed up when I brought it in. It's holding on by zip ties bit was still on pretty good. Your mechanic came out after doing my car and apologized for pulling the bumper down and tried to pull it back up as much as possible. So me complaining about that is a lie. Truth is you called me a liar over something that could have been fixed for 25 or 30$ when I was going to come spend almost 500$ to fix the other problems. Don't take your car here. I'm 55 yrs old not 25. I'm a hard working man that has no need to swindle anyone smdh. People read her response to every negative review and tell me if the lady is professional.

Had a very good experience here when I brought in my 2016 Honda Civic. Very easy and straight forward process on the customer side of it. Front end and mechanics are very personable and knowledgeable. Tylor made me feel at home and also the mechanic (who's name I can't remember at the moment) was great to me. Overall, great vibes from everyone there. I always love when I can support family owned local businesses. Will definitely return if I need work done in the future.

Ignored my request, wasted a week, no accountability Told them to replace the spark plugs and wires—basic job. They promised a 1–2 day turnaround, then sat on my car for a week, gave me some excuse about a guy calling in sick. didn’t do the work, and blamed the ignition control module WITHOUT doing the work I requested. They also claimed to have called but I'm pretty sure they dialed the wrong area code trying to reach me, then blamed me for their mistake. Never apologized once. Will probably deny any wrong doing and blame me like he did on other negative reviews. Unprofessional and unreliable. Avoid!

Ive had several repairs done here. Fixed my transmission. Fixed my Range Rover. Usually other high end cars here. I saw a Bentley here today. Last time there was a Mclaren. I didn't know they had exotics in Tucson. :) Always great work and diagnosis. Management is trustworthy. Techs are knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Brought my car here after the dealership tried telling me that we marred the surface on an output shaft seal and it would never seal again, quoted new transmission. Idiots at Nissan failed to mention it was leaking internally, Paul let me bring the car in for a second opinion without charging me after I already shelved out 500 bucks at Nissan. Gave me a killer price on pulling the transmission and even swapped out a motor mount for me since the cradle needed to be pulled without charging me an extra cent. Very honest and wholesome team over there, even had an incident happen with a parts delivery driver backing into my car (not affiliated with Sam’s place) Paul took care of everything for me and didn’t just hang me out to dry to deal with the company’s insurance. It’s been 2-3 weeks since getting the car back and not a single leak from the transmission! Will definitely bring my car back any time it’s something I can’t do on my own!

I came across Sam’s Place through my warranty company. I appreciated the work they did so when I got a $2000 quote from the dealer for “routine maintenance” I called them. When I brought it in they looked over the car and found some of the items quoted had already been completed right before I bought the car. They did the work needed and I was in and out in a day for under $400!! As someone whose car knowledge ends with changing a tire - an honest company is the most important thing I can find. I got several oil changes here and some suspension work done. I thought they were great. This time I took it to a different mechanic due to availability and was greatly disappointed to find that Sam's had overtightened the oil filter and broken the threads in the aluminum oil filter housing. The mechanic thinks they also may have dropped the filter during installation because there was gravel around the threads that likely contributed to the damage. On top of that it was very obvious the O Ring had not been replaced as it was flat. So I'm out $300 + to replace that at the new mechanic.

This is by far the most honest, upfront, and reasonably priced auto shops in Tucson. My family has been going to Sam's Place Automotive for the last 20 years with my own experience over the last 10 years with my 2 cars. The owner Paul takes his time to show you what is going on, and really explains things. I hands down would not go elsewhere period
