Had a number of jobs done here. These guys offer great advice and do a phenomenal job. Great attitudes, they all clearly have a passion for tinkering on bikes on and off the clock. Sylvan, Jimmy, and Reed are the best in the business! My little XT250 pales in comparison to the other bikes they wrench on, but it feels like a XT9000 after servicing at SCMS!

Santa Cruz Motorcycle Service (SCMS) and the owner, Reed, are the very best. Riding more than 20 years, I always struggled to find a decent mechanic, much less a great one - well, Reed is an AMAZING mechanic! He went above and beyond in fixing a very unfortunate flat for me. He is smart, funny, and really skilled working on bikes. He works on all kinds and all ages of them. Lucky for me, he's also a Triumph expert! He not only fixed my (completely ruined) tire, but checked over the bike for safety and maintenance issues that might be there. I left his shop with a bike that was not only running, but safe and riding even better than when I came in! His rates are incredibly reasonable. His talent is above and beyond. And he is a good guy. SCMS is the shop for you. I have been to many, many of them. This place, and Reed, are it. I am certain you will find it fair, reasonable, and, most importantly, you can trust your ride with Reed.

I have a 2016 triumph, which was built up by Reed. He does excellent work. He now owns Santa Cruz Motorcycle Service where I have brought that bike for service and I’m very happy with the work they do, very professional. I recommend anyone that has an issue with their motorcycle bring it down there and have it taken care of.

This shop is awesome! We had some issues with our Harley while on vacation and Reed was extremely accommodating and friendly. He was genuinely concerned about our situation and was willing to stay and wait until we could get to his shop. Reed pushed our Harley to the top of his list even though he had other bikes waiting for service. He was about to get us up and running in just a couple of hours! Reed and his team are incredible. My dad and I were passing through on a trip when his bike broke down. The guys at the shop were friendly, supportive, and incredibly efficient. After a quick diagnosis and appropriate fix, they had us back on the road in no time! After storing my motorcycle for 8 years in a garage that had a river running through it when it rained, all the chrome rusted. I moved out, and decided to see if I could have it restored. I contacted Reed the owner of Santa Cruz Motorcycle Service. He picked the bike up for me, and not long after having it, had the idea to powder coat the rusted chrome, instead of replacing the parts. Brilliant! Saved a bunch of money, and I think it looks better than the original look. Jeremy over at "Powder Coat It" in Santa Cruz did that part of the job for me, and it came out amazing. Reed's attention to detail, especially in regards to making sure the bike ran correctly, all the electrical was perfect, and replaced the brake lines, and pads, put new tires on it. The thing runs like a new bike, and looks fantastic! Thanks to Reed for his patience, and diligence through the whole process. You've heard the old saying. "You get what you pay for". I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I bought my first Triumph from Reed after formerly being a Harley rider. I couldn’t be happier with my decision! The experience has been a fantastic one! Reed is extremely knowledgeable & a pleasure to work with. He is a local who has been building and fixing up bikes for years & recently took over this shop. It’s nice to support someone local who is sharing great products & services! As a female rider I am very cautious about getting all the info before committing to something mechanically. This place is somewhere I’d recommend anyone come for repairs or if you’re looking for a whole awesome custom bike of your own. The shop is clean & organized. They are “straight shooters” if you will. The prices are fair & work gets done well & at a good pace. Definitely suggest checking out the place if you’re in the neighborhood! It’s right by REI & Marshall’s. You don’t even just have to take my word for it. Lots of other folks in the business recommend him too. 10/10 across the board. 🥇🙌🏆

Reed is an amazing person to work with, not only because he responds quickly and is highly knowledgeable about motorcycle parts and products, but because he is an exceptionally honest and genuine person. I interacted with Reed through eBay. Unfortunately, due to FedEx not following delivery instructions, my package was never delivered to the secure location as required. However, because FedEx marked it as “delivered,” eBay denied my refund request. At that point, I assumed the money was lost. I reached out to Reed and explained the situation. Despite eBay’s decision that I was not entitled to a refund, Reed filed a claim with FedEx and refunded me the amount as soon as he received the check. His integrity, values, and kindness truly impressed me. For someone he has never even met, he went above and beyond and conducted business with absolute honesty. I am confident that working with him in person would be just as exceptional. Additionally, I have continued to reach out to him with questions about motorcycle parts and repairs, and he has always taken the time to respond with helpful recommendations. I would highly recommend Reed’s shop for any motorcycle work. You will not be disappointed, and I am certain you’ll want to return. He is not just running a business, he genuinely cares about the motorcycle community.

Fantastic experience with SCMS! Bought my first motorcycle from them, a Honda Rebel 500! Reed is very accommodating and his associate Dan is the best! Went to check out the bike pretty much at day end, but they graciously let me see, and even got all the documentation done the same day. Bike was delivered the very next day. Riding it over the weekend, noticed that the abs light was blinking, so when I contacted them about it, they immediately picked it up, and within two days, had my bike back fully functional Thank you! Great Experience buying a new to me Harley Davidson Sportster. Reed was prompt at answering any questions I had regarding the bike. Extremely easy buying process and very accommodating. He was kind enough to schedule an appointment with me during my free time from work. Reed had his Long Term Associate, Dan, deliver the bike to my home.
