I chose this shop because it was approved by AAA and it was so wonderful! Their pricing is super fair, they finished their work in reasonable time, and they really made sure my car was all fixed and ready to drive. They are a family owned business and had such a welcoming atmosphere (especially for me being a woman). I definitely believe I made the right decision by coming here. They made me feel very comfortable and safe (both inside their shop and driving my car afterwards), and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs car repairs. Thank you again!!!

Knowledgeable and honest with fair pricing. They put a new transmission in my truck, and it runs and drives 💯 better than it ever did. I bought the truck brand new. It is a GMC. It was a lemon from the factory. The dealers are not competent around here. They tried to polish the turd but it still stunk.

This was my first visit to Santa Cruz Motorsports, and while I only went in for a smog check, Chris was incredibly thorough, checking everything under the hood and beneath the car. He even fixed the connection to release the door to the gas cap that had been disconnected by a former smog checker (for free after Toyota of Santa Cruz told me it would cost $1000! As I came out after paying the smog check fee, Chris was even washing all the windows. He and his wife, Jenn, in the office, were without question, the most polite and nicest auto shop owners I have ever met and worked with. Whatever needs work in the future, I am going back to Santa Cruz Motorsports.

I visited this place looking to get a brake and lamp inspection for my motorcycle. Unfortunately they weren't able to provide the service, but the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. They called several other shops and even a friend who rides motorcycles in order to help me find a place to get the inspection done. I would absolutely recommend this place to my friends!

Staff is very friendly and communicative, but I unfortunately have to give this rating due to my experience here. I came in to get my A/C serviced/charged. Was initially quoted about $700 (which is on the pricier side, but that's ok I understand Santa Cruz is expensive etc.), but later on, I was then informed that unfortunately the AC compressor was leaking and needed to be replaced and quoted $1300. Due to my car being under warranty w/Repair-Pal, I declined to have it replaced out-of-pocket and went to another shop that would work w/my warranty. The new shop tested everything (compression tested, and held vacuum for 2hrs, and machine scent tested detected no leaks), found no leaks-no need to replace the compressor, and recharged it for $238 (for reference I have a 2018 Honda Accord w/60k miles). I am writing this not bc I think that I was being scammed or taken advantage of, I am giving the benefit of the doubt because it could have been a mistake on Santa Cruz Motor Sport's end... but I still had to pay for them to look at my vehicle and "diagnose" it $125, and the diagnosis was unfortunately wrong AND potentially extremely expensive.

I've brought my car in twice and both times the staff were amazing! Super friendly and accommodating; the most recent time they ran a free code for a check engine light and determined it was just a loose gas cap. The first time I went in, pricing was extremely fair and they replaced my alternator belts within a day, with very short notice. Super convenient location as well! They are so understanding and have never been condescending about my lack of knowledge about cars, which is (for some reason) hard to find in a mechanic. I love this place and will continue to go here as long as I live in Santa Cruz! Thank you so much again!!

Lovely shop! Quite clean. Friendly staff. The woman at the front desk I believe it was Jennifer was very welcoming. Lots of amenities for a garage. (WiFi, snacks, waters, etc). I most appreciated the snacks for my children who came along to pick my car up, the staff was kind to them offering them stickers and snacks(they’re favorite was the candy, of course🙄) I love how it’s a small local business where everyone knows your name. I also thought it was sweet the whole family working together. Overall I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of some work or maintenance. Great team, that runs a tight ship.

I got an oil change on my Ford Explorer and they were super fast and did an amazing job Jennifer and Emily were super kind and welcoming in the office! Unlike other places Ive been they don’t try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don’t even need and make it super confusing by doing so. It was super easy and they didn’t confuse me at all! Jackson did my oil change and he did great.
