I took my 2022 Camaro SS to Shiftfast Perfomance for tuning and part install..Service was not good up until I started telling Dave and his mechanic I was having a small misfire and crank issue. I have Been going back and forth between the shop and columbia for about a month to try to figure out what the problem was. I took my car last week Monday to friday (a whole week). Dave told me the car was ready Friday afternoon and that the issue was corrected. He said one of the spark plugs wires were the issue since it was burned. However on friday night my car was still misfiring with issues. On Saturday I immediately contacted Dave’s mechanic again asking to speak with Dave to tell him my ongoing problems. The mechanic told me to call Monday and talk to Dave. As of today I still have not received a call or text to even resolve the issue which should have been corrected by him when i very first payed for my intake manifold install and retune. I contacted a new tuner who is trying to correct the problem that he should have done from the beginning especially after having the car a whole week. I am requesting a refund for services that were not rendered for spending unnecessary time , gas , and money on o2 sensors spark plugs and wires that did not resolve the issues. Shiftfast was very unprofessional , I do not recommend his services at this point after bringing him several friends that received a tune.

I just want to start by saying , by far the best performance mechanics in the area don’t let these other shops play with your money and your car and get it done right! From the very beginning they are very honest and hold up to their end of the bargain very well. I was one of the unlucky ones to have a mechanical issue right after a header install so it made me question them, probably not the best thing to do but at the time felt right to play the blame game, and I was wrong! We spent hours diagnosing the car(weekend visits Sun/Sat)to come to find out it was bad O2 extension cables all along! The tuner proved to my face that it wasn’t a tuning issue in-fact I brought in faulty equipment (that came with the headers in my defense lol)Not to mention I only paid for install and a tune! Everything else was done out of pocket by the tuner himself and now the car runs great after some custom extensions lol!(Huge thanks for that) Bottom line , if you want your car done right and not lied to this is this shop you want to bring your vehicle too! I couldn’t be happier and more thankful for the service I received !

My experience with the owner and this shop has been absolutely great. I got the dod/afm delete and an upgraded cam in my 2015 Silverado. When I first called I just had a couple questions and he gladly answered them before even knowing If I was gonna use them or not. As soon as I got the price I quickly decided to go with them. They kept me well updated and answered my many questions and was able to help me the best they could with my specific requests. Just got my truck back today and it runs and drives great and I have no doubt that they did a wonderful job. Highly highly recommend these guys. I Will tell everybody that asks where to go for any tuning or performance needs that shiftfast is 100% the way to go.

I cannot recommend Shift Fast highly enough—everyone was great to work with on my install. Garrett answered every single question I had about adding an AOS and boost controller, ordered parts, and recommended another local shop for a carbon cleaning treatment prior to my install and tune. I chose this shop initially because it is one of the places where Junior Barrios (JR Tuned) tunes vehicles, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Dave is a good guy and very knowledgable, and I had a great time talking with him about a wide range of subjects. Brandon installed the AOS and EBCS and did a fine job. The tune I received from Junior is awesome—it really woke my ride up and he opened up plenty under the curve for me—no more fine knock learn, and my daily driver is even more fun to drive than it was before. In short, if you have a Subaru, take it to these guys and you’ll be in great hands. I drove over three hours to Shift Fast, and I’ll be happy to make the trip again. Replaced the engine with a iag block and handled the tuning process on my 2020 WRX. Great communication. Completed the work within a timely manner and everything checked out great. Quote for the service was spot on no surprises. Any issues or concerns I had where addressed and taking care of. Meet my power goals and helped give me recommendations for future goals. All with a great warranty package. If you need a Subaru engine or parts install this would be the first place I would contact if your not comfortable with doing it yourself. Been trashing on it for a bit and no issues. Drives great around town and feels great when you on it. Couldn’t recommend more.

I hate writing this review, I never write reviews. I don't like to argue, fuss and fight and I’m way too busy for petty BS. But this is not petty. Every time I lift the hood on this car, I’m pissed off. About three years ago, I had Dave at Shift Fast rebuild the motor in my ’99 C5 Corvette. I'm so crazy busy I’ve only put about 4,000 miles on it, so far and almost every time I’ve taken it out, it has broken down. When I brought the car in, I told Dave I needed to have my motor rebuilt and I wanted to replace all the external parts as well, so everything was new. Dave said he “doesn’t replace good parts,”. So even though I asked and even though they were 20 years old he stuck to his guns. He also criticized the Lingenfelter build, saying those builds were junk and use crappy parts, and claimed his builds were better and he uses way better parts. It seems like originally he told me the build would take about 12 weeks, it actually took me almost 12 months before I got my car back. When I finally went to pick up the car and lifted the hood, it did not look like I had just spent almost $15,000 at his shop. The engine bay was dirty, parts were grimy, and the vacuum lines were literally taped together with electrical tape. I have pictures. He uses such great parts that within the first 4,000 miles a lifter collapsed, which caused the motor to fail, but to be honest, Dave did make that repair for free. The starter failed, and when I called him about replacing it, he wanted to charge me $600. That Really pissed me off, because he should have replaced it originally like I asked him. Another shop replaced it for $300 and found that the starter only had one bolt in it, and that one bolt was only finger tight. I have a picture of that too. He did put on a new alternator but only because I asked for a chrome one, but that alternator failed too, and I had to replace it. The clutch master cylinder he installed and charged me $1,800 for recently had to be replaced again at another $1,800. The throttle body also failed, and it was obvious it had never been replaced. This whole deal with him was stressful and a pain in that ass. He also tuned the car, but I had to bring it back four or five times because it constantly stalled every time I push the clutch in. Throughout the process, Dave’s attitude sucked. Every time I went in to talk to him, it was tense and really stressful. I work hard for my money, he acted like 15K was no big deal but for me I have to work long and hard to get an extra 15K that I can blow. I'm so disappointed. I expected far better workmanship and service. I'm sitting here looking at my car broken down again and thinking A crate motor would have been a much smarter, less stressful choice.

Horrible customer service. All we asked for was a copy of our invoice, this guy Dave was a complete jerk. He just doesn't have time to find it. I asked if he could just send an email, nope can't do it way too busy. Then had the nerve to say "I give everyone an invoice when they leave". That's great, our paperwork is in the dash of a totaled car that we can't get to. Would not do business here again. Oh wow Dave has time to argue with customers on his reviews but not the time to send an invoice. You got the wrong one this time buddy.

This is a great shop and Dave is awesome. Dave has great customer service and takes time to explain the best solution for your performance needs. He doesn’t try to sell you something you don’t need and he gets straight to the point! I like that he holds himself accountable and honors his word. My 2005 Silverado 6.0L has been running amazing since its been tuned by him. It is a joy to drive thanks to the parts he installed and tuned. I will definitely go back and recommend anyone needing a good LS tune. Thanks Dave!! And he will answer the phone and return your calls! 😁

I contacted Dave from Shift fast for DOD delete options for my family's 2013 GMC Yukon. Dave was patient with my questions concerning different kits for "displacement on demand" deletion. After speaking with over 8x performance shops in South Carolina I decided to go with Shift Fast with a BTR cam kit. Dave and his crew were professional, fast and did the job at a great price. Dave also gave me a few BTR stickers when I asked for them. My family are very happy with the craftsmanship provided by Shift Fast. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Carolinas.
