You wrote a review for Smart Madness 12 hours ago 1.0 star rating 7/14/2017 VERY disappointed with this companies service. Spoke with them on phone, looked them up, and also went over their return policy BEFORE ordering. And all SEEMED terrific. I placed an order for plastic molded " eyebrows" for my car. The cost 100.00 so not cheap for 2 little pieces of plastic. When i got them i immediately watched their INSTALL VIDEO and proceded to clean the headlites and install the eyebrows. The first one WOULD NOT stick AT ALL. It kept poping off. I tried to call company and they were closed.so I am quite handy with stuff like this( i grew up around car mods) so i ran to oreillys and got ACTUAL 3M tape. Can back spent 2 hours preping the eyebrow for the new tape and NOW this one sticks. Moved to the second one and it SEEMED to adhere well. Left car sit UNDROVE for 2 days. Took car for window tint. They seemed fine there cause my window tint guy commented on them. Left and drove home about 40 miles. When i got home and parked my car i noticed that the ONE I DID NOT replace the tape on was missing. The TAPE HAD LET LOOSE,,AND IT HAD BLOWN OFF ON THE WAY HOME SOMEWHERE. I call smartmadness IMMEDIATELY and explained what the tape did on the The FIRST one and what i did to fix it, and IT WAS STILL ON but the other one that APPEARED to be stuck ok with THEIR TAPE have fell off, due to tape FAILURE. and was lost. I CALLED EMMEDIEATLY COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS when they started to YELL at me and they told me i was out of luck! They CLAIM that unless i HAVE BOTH PIECES to send back they WILL NOT warranty !! HOW ARE YOU supposed to have the piece that flew off due to DEFECTIVE TAPE ADHESIVE!! they then PROCEEDED to YELL and tell me that i SHOULD NOT have used a DEFECTIVE product. I said that the one APPEARED TO BE STUCK WELL!! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT IT IS DEFECTIVE when it APPEARED to be stuck ??? Then they supposedly had the OWNER call me back. He ALSO YELLED and was VERY rude. The best they could come up with was for me to PURCHASE ANOTHER piece and spend more money. I DONT THINK SO!! I recieved an email the next day concerning the issues. They COMPLETELY turned around what i had said had happened and said that the one I FIXED had flew off DUE TO MY NEGLIGENCE . I emailed back and STATED AGAIN WHAT REALLY HAPPENED and that the ONE I FIXED was still on !! The one I DID NOTHING WITH is the one that flew off. NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT I HAVE HEARD NOTHING from the company now. I have since DISPUTED the charge on the card, turned them into the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and will continue with the reviews anywere i can. This is a WORD OF WARNING to the public in regards to the way the company handles themselves in the event of a warranty issue. ( which i have found out since that these eyebrows have had other issues) I realize that NOTHING is perfect, and sometimes, there is issues, BUT This could have been resolved VERY quickly and easily if they were HONEST and fair when there is an issue.

High prices, slow shipping, no communication. Ordered a new bracket for a license plate and after two weeks received no updates. Took another week to get a response saying it will ship in another week. Did not ship on time. Took over a month to get an overpriced license plate mount and paid $10 for shipping. Never responded to additional inquiries.

Even though they are on the opposite side of the country these guys have become my first call for any smart related issues, I have been able to get parts my local Mercedes dealership has said aren't available any longer as well as had a quick diagnostic call that ended up in not needing to spend any money at all.

After placing an order for $49.98 from thier web store I was emailed 2 days later that they would need to collect an extra $37.17 from me in order to complete the order. This is after the company had already billed my visa for the transaction. If this is the sort of business practices this place thinks is acceptable I don't even what to know what other shady things they are doing. I hope that anyone who reads this knows to stay on guard for any bait and switch practices when they buy stuff or bring there car to this location.

Extreamly overpriced. A smart car takes 4 quarts (3.7 to be exact) of oil. Even if you use racing grade full synthetic oil at $15 a quart, it would cost under $60 for the oil. They used oil that is $4 a quart. So the real cost was $16 for the oil. They charged $250 for the oil change. Though I had an appointment, waited 4 hours before they got started. Arrived at 9 and left at 2pm. When a business survives on overcharging customers, it's only a matter of time before they go out of business.

I had new panels on put on my smart, way less expensive than a dealer. We we hit a couple of issues requiring extra trips they made sure I was taken care of. I will drive the 65 miles to get my work done here rather than go to a dealer.

Really unprofessional and unethical. They quoted me $300 for an OIL CHANGE on a smart car. They quoted $1500 to fix my window plus $800 for the parts. They also buy their parts from ebay stores and upsell them 40x the price. Ironically even with the high prices I was met with instant attitude on the phone and talked down to by the man on the phone. I had my dad call and ask the same questions and he was met with pleasant customer service and lower quotes! I called back and asked questions that I already knew the answers to about fixing my smartcar and they were either lying to me or are completely incompetent. Clearly bias against women as they think we are dumb enough to spend $300 on an oil change that I have done myself multiple times and I fixed my own window regulator on my own for $15 in 1 hour! I highly recommend staying away from this joke of an establishment unless you want to overpay for terrible service and cheap after market ebay parts.

I spoke with Art regarding a problem with my wife's seat heater in a Smart Fortwo. I was looking for the seat heater control unit (apparently a hard to locate part- Mercedes had only one in the Eastern U.S. for $260 ). Art was able to pull the part from a part car he had on property and shipped two days for a total of $62.00. He really went out of his way to help. Thanks Art. We will definitely be back for some things off my wife's wish list.

I bug these fellas all the time and they always treat me like they're my big brothers. I'm new to micro cars and drive mine hard but whenever I need any sort of support or guidance they are super helpful and always keep my budget in mind which I really appreciate. I've been going to them for a few years now and wouldn't trust my Smart to anyone else. Literally if I move hundreds of miles away I'll be making the trip whenever my Smart needs love.

I upgraded my smart 453 convertible with all the fun parts these guys have to offer. The exhaust and go pedal have lasted extremely well over the last 2 years of owning them without any issues. Really happy with SMART and these guys for taking the 453 to the next level. Sad that they are discontinued now in the US. All my future Smart cars will be visiting these guys!

He saved me at least $1200 from having to go through the dealership for ordering a new ignition switch that was on backorder and may not be available for months! And it took less than 10 min. When I heard about a place that could provide all my Smart Car needs, I was a bit skeptic. I wanted to install a " Intake Upgrade Hose." I checked other vendors on the Web, but they were shady. I finally decided to order the part (after speaking to one of the associates) from Madness Auto Works. It was shipped very fast, exactly as described. First off I just want to say I am beyond grateful for the work Art & Eric do here. Not only are they kind and honest but also extremely knowledgable which is why I keep coming back. My A/C stopped working recently and instead of taking my car to the dealer to get some ridiculous quote, Art was able to provide me a cheaper an effective alternative that actually SOLVED the A/C issue.
