After doing a lot of research, I took my VW Bus restoration project to SOS Customz and could not be any happier. Oscar and team did a full interior resto complete with a new custom bench seat, all new cushioning, wood flooring, headliner and amazing upholstery work. SOS is certainly best in class. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and really care about the customer and quality of their work. Always keeping me posted on their progress, they completed the project within a very timely manner and met all of my expectations. I drove away in a very happy Miata from SOS Customz. I got rear ended causing my tail light to shatter, my rear quarter panel to dent, and lots of paint scratches. Insurance insisted on totaling my car but SOS did not let that happen. They did a beautiful job and returned my car BETTER than what it looked like pre-crash. I will definitely return to get body work done on any of my cars in the future.

I was referred to SOS Customz by another auto body shop because I was looking for more experience with high-end cars. Mine being a 911 4S. Robert was great, friendly and accommodating. I knew I was in good hands. My car came out great , delivered on time and no complaints. He even asked me to return in 30 days for rebuffing and to make sure I'm satisfied as part of their program. Hopefully, I won't need them. However I am considering doing a ceramic coating. No regrets on this end...

Dropped off my 1981 ford courier to get a headliner, new gauge cluster, and sun visors. They did an amazing job and even went the extra mile to troubleshoot and fix some of my on going electrical issues. Super helpful and they do amazing work. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I spent over $30,000 with this shop back in 2020, and the work I received was nowhere near the quality you’d expect for that kind of money. When I recently took my car to another shop for a wrap, they discovered multiple areas that were never even painted. Is it really that hard to remove a license plate or radio antenna before spraying? The “custom” trunk setup I paid for was just as disappointing — instead of properly building an enclosure for the subwoofer, they simply cut a hole in the wooden flooring and dropped it in. No wonder the sub kept blowing. To make things worse, when I dropped the car off for body kit repairs, they left it sitting outside with the windows open. A cat got inside and urinated all over my interior, costing me thousands to fix the smell. After all of this, when I tried to reach out for answers, I was blocked on social media. For the amount of money I spent, I expected professionalism and quality. Instead, I was left with cut corners, poor craftsmanship, and no accountability. Save yourself the headache and avoid this shop.

II brought my car to SOS Customs about a year ago to have it wrapped and to add interior lighting. While the wrap initially looked great, my experience since then has been extremely disappointing. The original job took nearly six weeks, much of which my car sat at a shop they outsourced the wrap to. Within three weeks of getting the car back, the LED lights they installed started coming loose. SOS fixed that, but soon after I began experiencing repeated dead batteries while traveling. They acknowledged a short in the lighting system and kept my car for more than a week to fix it, but the problem never went away. Over the next few months the lighting continued to fail, the connections came loose, and at one point the footwell lighting was literally hanging down. Around seven months later the roof portion of the wrap deteriorated with staining and lifting edges. SOS replaced it under warranty, and while the car was in the shop I asked them to completely remove the faulty lighting and wiring. After nine more days they said it was done, but when my wife picked up the car the lighting was still hanging in the passenger footwell. Now, a year later, I continue to deal with the same battery short whenever the car sits for more than a few days. At this point I have a one-year-old car that frequently will not start because of unresolved electrical issues. The staff were polite and responsive to my concerns, but the quality of work, follow-through, and accountability have been very poor. I regret ever agreeing to the lighting upsell and cannot recommend SOS Customs beyond the most basic cosmetic work.

I was recently involved in a minor accident and had to have my passenger side door replaced. SOS worked with insurance the entire time and once they had all approvals they quickly finished the repairs. They were even able to have some left over to re-spray my front bumper as an added bonus. Throughout the process they were highly communicative and professional. I was more than happy with the finished product and will continue to go to them for all my needs!

Can’t say enough good things about Robert and the team at SOS Customz. My Corvette suffered damage from a hit-and-run, and at first I was planning to take it to a standard body shop. After coming across SOS, I had Robert take a look and explained my goal of doing a full exterior upgrade at the same time. Robert worked closely with me throughout the insurance process and helped navigate what could be covered, then executed the remaining cosmetic upgrades flawlessly. The end result honestly felt like getting a brand-new car back. After I had an unexpected accident and the front driver’s side of my car was damaged, I was honestly stressed, overwhelmed, and convinced it would never look the same again. But this shop was AMAZING from customer service down to the attention to detail. They were communicative, upfront, and genuinely kind throughout the whole process. They walked me through the estimate, dealt with the insurance side seamlessly, and kept me updated the whole way. And when I picked up my car, I was shocked. It literally looks brand new. The paint match is flawless, all the lines are perfect, you would never know there was ever any damage. If you ever need bodywork, this is the place you want in your corner. I’m honestly so grateful. I used to use another reputable shop here in San Diego that I loved but decided to give SOS a try on my Porsche. I am anal and very picky about my cars and used to do paint and body myself in a past life. I’ve customized numerous cars in the past. These guys started on a few small projects with me and they came out so good I kept giving them more and more work on the car. To date I am impressed and they are continuing to make my forever car a dream and offering valuable insights along the way as we add each customization to plan the next without overdoing the car. I’ve become a loyal customer and I will have them soon do my wife’s Taycan.
