John is an incredible mechanic. He quickly found an electric short that was draining the battery. The repair was replacing a fuse and cost almost nothing. The Honda dealership previously took all day, charged several hundred dollars and found nothing. Another time, he gave honest options for a slipping transmission that was not repairable. His skill and experience is invaluable, but the prices fair!

Prior to contacting South Gate I visited 2 other repair shops. First gave ballpark cost of $2000. Second would not consider touching the vehicle. The truck is 2001 F 150 from Michigan. Need I say more? Issue was rusted brake lines around differential. Carlos and Jimmy agreed to do the job without hesitation and, I was aware of possible outcomes since it is delicate with all the rust. Called me after a few days with success and, cost under 450. Totally satisfied and, recommend them highly. Best part-old school business.👌
