This is an update to my review dated 1/31/2024. The things I mentioned in my initial review have been repaired. But... Once the HVAC controls were fixed, it turned out that the AC didn't blow cold. Naturally, the AC coolant had to be drained and the compressor removed for the engine rebuild. But it turns out one of the pressure lines was never reconnected. Which means they didn't even TRY to recharge the AC, since the massive leak would have been obvious to even the most incompetent of mechanics. I also noticed that the fog lights were not coming on. Until I turned on the high beams. Turns out, they managed to plug the high beam wiring into the fog lights and the fog light wiring into the high beams. Taking your car to Steve Mills racing for anything other than the most minor issue (I'm sure they can manage an oil change, assuming they remember to put the plug back in the pan), but the level of competency display is abysmal.

Steve Mills Quality Auto Repair lives up to its' name - QUALITY! Steve and his right-hand man Jeff provide highly experienced oversight to his well trained staff of mechanics who are thorough in their work, making sure the job gets done right. They explain what needs to be done to fix the problem. They also have experience working on older vehicles like my 1991 Ford Explorer with over 450,000 miles which is rare. After replacing my AC System and Power Steering Pump at a reasonable cost, I had a problem with work done at a Ford Dealership. Steve diagnosed the rear differential fluid leak in under five minutes at no charge and Ford fixed the problem they caused at no charge, but only because of Steve's keen eye. Their NAPA Repair Facility Certification is another plus. I'll be back.

Amazing work. After scratching our head on a misfire code on our Jeep, we took it to Steve. After making Steve scratch his head as well he was finally able to figure out the problem and fixed it. I highly recommend Steve and his crew. They won’t steer you wrong and they will make sure the issue is fixed.

Hi, my name is Steve, and I wish to share my absolutely amazing experience with Jeff at Steve Mills Quality Auto Repair. Firstly, I live in Melbourne Australia, and I just purchased a 1957 Chevrolet Belair online from Colorado Springs. I rang the shop and Jeff answered the phone. From the very first minute talking to Jeff, he put me at ease. I knew I found an honest and incredibly helpful gentleman half a world away. I knew my car I had dreamt about all of my life was going to be in amazing hands. The knowledge Jeff has as incredible, and his patience is on another level. Jeff could not do enough for me and what was so important was Jeffs honesty and the pricing. I sent the car in for a pre inspection check and to get the brakes done. I was so worried as I have a pretty tight budget due to the Australian dollar being so low, but the pricing was basically the same as back in Melbourne Australia. If I am this happy from literally half a world away, I strongly recommend this amazing establishment for the people of Colorado Springs. These mechanics wear their hearts on their sleeves, and I rate this Auto Repair shop 10/10 and Jeffs help, communication, guidance and knowledge a 12/10. Being in the military and moving around often I like to find a quality and trusted repair shop for my cars. After talking to someone about repair shops in the area, they recommended Steve Mills. Im glad they did because this is the place you want to take your cars if they ever have any issues. They stayed in contact with me and gave me constant updates about the status of my car. Steve is a straight shooter. I took my car in because it was throwing some codes. I have a code reader and cleared the codes before taking my car in, but the car threw the same codes a day later. Long story short, they listened to me when I told them what I thought the issue was and didn't try to make me pay for unnecessary parts. They actually saved me some money, as I was about to buy a part and already bought and installed a separate part, neither of which turned out to be linked to the codes being thrown. Fast forward two weeks later, the car is running strong and not throwing any more codes. I'll continue to use this shop. They are good guys, and they do honest work. 6.2L SS Camaro mildly modified.
